Thanks guys....I realize that 300 clip is considered torturous, but its rather depressing that my Q6600 main Vista PC can play it smoothly (or even booting it into...erm...Hackintosh mode), and there is apparently nothing I can do to get it working as well on my PPC Quad.
I guess its as much to blame on the decoder options; even XBMC (apparently the PPC best option for multicore) refuses to use more than 2 cores....never reaches 200% usage in activity monitor, yet still the stuttering/uneven play. It does play better than VLC & PerianQT tho.
Ahh well. Thanks for everyone's help....I may still yet upgrade the vidcard, but as of right now, if this wouldnt really help the 1080p issues, its less of a priority than before. Thanks for the GTX512 suggestion; I might go that route too.
Also, thanks to the guy who took the time to dl and test than 300 video for me, that helped immensely.

I have a user who when she logs into her workstation and tries to access her outlook folders she is denied access. If she removes and then adds them back they work. Only one other person on our network had this problem which I initially thought was connectivity

I use Firefox and it is now No. 1 on my choice of browsers. I agree it doesn't like the "for IE only" coded sites but then IE is now a non issue as it is dead in the water! So Safari is now really bloated and getting slower by the version. Give it a few spins around the block and I'm sure you will agree. As for the sites it declines to accept because of bad code, then I would suggest a strong letter of protest to the webmaster! For too long IE has been flouting the rules and trying to be the only game in town. Take some affirmative action and let the webmasters know there are other browsers available to users. 1. Yes all the dat needs to be copied
2. You can just assign the users in your orginazation structure to the profiles(Master data specialist, steward etc.) in BRF+
3. After copying the data to your standalone ECC 6.0 instance, all the process of data governance happens on your standalone system and once it is done you can replicate the data to your SAP 4.7 system. According to my experience, no functionalities will be missing.

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

The problem is, when I call

Does anybody use ChaRM with their BW system?

We are looking to implement Charm for our BW system and I am looking for somebody that has experience with this. For example if you extract a new field from your ECC system and transport it via Charm, does the system recognize that this transport needs to finish generating the data in BW before it moves the next transport in line? Or do you have to manually import these transports into BW?

We already have Charm for ECC, CRM, SCM, Portal and the setup is not really a problem. The issue I have around BW is really a different one. Today, without Charm, we have the issue that the transports are not going in in the sequence that they are released (the BW manager gives us the sequence he wants them to be moved) and that in between transports we have to wait until the generation of data in BW is done, before the next transport can move. This takes a lot of time and as this needs to be done in off hours it keeps a person busy on the weekend, which ideally I want to avoid going forward as we are not staffed for that.
So my question is if we are doing something wrong in general around the transports we do for BW (so that we have to wait and change transport sequences and do stuff manually) and if Charm is only going to make it worse....
Looking for tips and tricks on how we can get this to go automated... . How can we get this to improve?
Can you give me a few details on how your transports are going through for BW and if you encounter any of the above problems or how you might have resolved them?

Has anybody had problems with DVD's burnt with Optiarc drive

I am burning movie DVD's through iDVD. The movie formats are initially QT with PCM sound encoding. They seem to work well on an old Samsung DVD player, but stutter on a brand new Samsung computer. I do understand it could be a problem with the newer computer, but I would like to hear if anyone else has had any problems so I can see if the problem is more widespread.

I too am having trouble playing DVDs burned with my Optiarc drive. Sorry I don't have the solution, but I can add a data point to the story about problems with DVDs burned with Optiarc.
My current hardware: mid-2007 24" iMac, built-in Optiarc DVD RW AD-5630A with firmware 1AHM / MMC-3.
My scenario: after making home movies with iMovie '08 and iDVD '08, I either burn to DVD (TDK 16x DVD-R 4.7 GB) straight from iDVD or I save as disc image from iDVD and then burn the disc image from Toast 9. In either scenario, I can play the DVD on my iMac or any other Mac or Windows computer. However, it will not play on my Xbox (original Xbox, not the 360) because it freezes when trying to mount (sometimes the Xbox will not recognize the disc as a DVD, and sometimes it will begin mounting the disc and then freeze before displaying the title menu).
Before I bought my new iMac, I had the same workflow on an older 2003 17" G4 iMac that has a Sony DVD burner, and those discs play fine on all DVD players including my Xbox. To test the hypothesis that something happened to my Xbox around the time that I upgraded to my mid-2007 24" iMac, I burned several DVDs using my older iMac, and they continue to mount and play fine on the Xbox. On both my older and newer iMac, I have Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard installed, same version of Toast 9, and I burn at the slowest speed (2x) on both. So it seems that the problem can be isolated to the Optiarc DVD burner, but I'm not sure if there are other factors at play here.
I searched the Optiarc site (www.sonynec-optiarc.com) but could not find a firmware update for the AD-5630A. However, I did find this site via Google:

Has anybody got ss with old platform

Having contacted BT to subscribe to Sky Sports, I have been told I need a new box as to have SS you need the new platform. Can I ask if any one has SS on the old platform and if you can mention if you are using black or silver box. Just curious as I don't believe all SS users have the new platform as yet (menu down the side) as I am being told.

I'm on the old platform and have ESPN with Sky Sports. Black box.
Silver boxes stopped working with Sky Sports about 8 months ago and so are now defunct for this purpose.
We will all shortly be upgraded to the new platform and so BT just want to kill two birds with one stone by upgrading you to both SS and the new platform.
You should not be charged for a new black box. If they say you will be (£40) this information is wrong and I suggest to anyone encountering this problem to contact the Mods who will get this issue looked into.
