Has anyone applied Jan 2008 CPU yet?

I patched all the nodes successfully, came to the post-installation instructions which said
Select one node to execute the post installation steps. Follow the same set of instructions as mentioned in the Section 3.3.3, "Post Installation Instructions for a Non-RAC Environment".
Users can continue to access the database during the post-installation steps.
Now the script view_recompile_jan2008cpu.sql that has to be run
1) cannot be run unless it is in startup upgrade mode
2) I cannot open a node in startup upgrade mode while other nodes are open, makes sense
What would you do?
I took out the startup upgrade check out of the script but this was only a play system, I don't really want to do this to prod or to shut down all nodes just to start one in upgrade mode

Users can continue to access the database during the post-installation steps.

As per readme
You must recompile views for all databases except the following:
* Databases created with Release 11.1.0.6 or later
* Databases created with any release (for example, 10.2.0.3, 10.1.0.5, or 9.2.0.8) after CPUJan2008 or a later CPU has been applied
So in above case Users can continue to access the RAC database during patching

  • Has anyone applied pagination to a tree

Has anyone applied pagination to a tree using jsf or any of its implementations... if yes how?
    thanks.

Your model does not have a user-upgradeable SSD. You can check at OWC to see if they have replaceable SSDs for your model with instructions on how to install them. Note that this will void your warranty that has not yet expired.

  • Has anyone seen this voip soloution yet?

Has anyone seen this voip soloution yet advertised on Nokias website?
if you take a look at this page it looks like nokia and avaya are getting ready to release a new voip client that can work on series 60 and series 80 phones. it looks prett cool, but i have no idea if this will look at any voip server, or a companies voip server.
i am guessing that this will be worth a look once it is released, after all it seems the mail for exchange client is now working on Nseries phones which is cool.

    Hello,
As I promised, we checked in AVAYA center with AVAYA engineer how E60 works with AVAYA SIP server. We found that there is a problem to begin usage of IP telephone service. E60 always sad that craeted profile "Not registered". And don't like to act with WLAN network although WEB-browser works fine in the same time with the same AP-7 and WLAN settings.
AVAYA took a timeout for identify what's a problem with E60. Some terms on Nokia setting don't correspond to AVAYA terms.
I hope that it will take not a lot of time for AVAYA.
I'll let you know about the results.

  • Note 1304803 reports can change transp requests? has anyone applied note?

    Found the following notes
1304803 Security breach.  Certain reports that do not have authorization check can create or change transport requests  and change the piece list of a request
    and
12988160 - Ability to execute undesired source code in the system using a special call of an RFC module (no further details as to what the 'undesired source code is'  has been defined)
Has anyone applied these notes? if so how do you check if the hole exists and then after the note has been applied how does one verify that the security breach has been corrected?
    Please advsie

Via the corrections of the note, you will often be able to put the puzzle pieces together to be able to "test" whether it is corrected and how... The fact that there are sometimes follow-on notes to such program corrections is evidence of this. Some knowledge and creativity will be required for this.
If you want to be carefull of side affects (or find the guilty ones...) then try where-used-list look-ups on the objects being corrected to see where and how they are being used. Not 100% reliable because of dynamic coding techniques, but a good indicator for auditable development work...
Expressions such as "undesired source code" generally refer to remotely definable but internally executable source code, without appropriate checks in between.
If you cannot test it yourself and SAP releases the note as a "Security Note", then these are generally implementable without SAP standard consequences. If something in the z-custom world is bothered by it, you can normally be sure that you already have the problem "in da house"...
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • Has anyone tried publishing for Ouya yet?

Just curious if anyone has tried AIR on the Ouya yet, and your thoughts if so. Despite the mixed reviews about the system, I'm interested in developing for it, but I'd like to hear an AIR developer's experience with the system if possible.

I've just received the Quicken version for Lion and it crashed on four of my five files.  The 5th file didnot show all the quotes.  I searched the web and found that the new version is having problems with the Quote file.  I tried the suggestion from Intuit. See following URL.
    http://quicken.intuit.com/support/help/quicken-mac-2007-for-lion-crashes-on-lion /SLN59495.html
With the above you loss all your security quotes and need to repopulate the data file.  I suggest that you try the following process on a Snow Leopard system.
To avoid a corrupt Quote file perform the following before moving to Lion.  This process will give the Lion version a fresh Quote file.
    1. Start Quicken with you data file
    2. Open File > Export > Selected Items to QIF...
    3. Check only the box for Securities
    4. Quick Quicken
    5. Hold down the Control key and single-click (or right-click) your data file
    6. Select Show Package Contents from the pop-up menu
    7. Control + click on the Quotes file, select Move to Trash
    8. Start Quicken with you data file
    9. Open File > Import > From QIF...
    10. Quick Quicken
Now all my files run on the Lion version with all the quote values.

  • CF9 and Ext JS - has anyone applied a different theme?

Has anyone had any luck applying Ext JS themes to override the built-in theme that ships with CF 9? If so, which theme did you apply, where did you get it, and what was your method?
My guess is that i can put any Ext JS 3.0 theme into my web site and then include the ext-all.css file and it should work. CF 8 allowed us to switch between themes (at least for some of the Ext JS functionality), which was cool because you could (in theory) add new themes on the server level and allow each of your applications to quickly choose. But this seems to be scrapped.
    Ideas?

I was able to apply a different theme as follows:
First, I downloaded one of these: (very simple modifications of the default CF theme)
    http://extjs.fudini.net/
Then I used the csssrc attribute in cfajaximport to specify where I want CF to look for the styles. You will have to rearrange the folders of your downloaded extjs theme to be exactly like the one that ships with CF. Look at the documentation for cfajaximport.
If you have control over your server, you could try putting new themes in the ColdFusion folder so they can be accessible by all your applications.
If anyone knows how to find some really cool extjs themes, please share!

  • Has anyone upgraded the W520 CPU?

I have seen several requests to see if it was possible, and never saw a positive confirmation. Just "it should work". Has anyone here actually done this? How well did it work? Was the fan up to the task?
I currently have the 4270CTO (W520) with the 2620m. I have been finding the dual core too limiting in some tasks (Fallout NV and Diablo 3 for example) and was hoping the 2760qm/2860qm would work out well.  Warranty expires at the end of the month anyhow, so no issues there.

You would need to consult the Hardware Maintenance Manual and see if a quad-core CPU would fit in your "specific" machine. The motherboard and the thermal unit of a dual-core machine are different than the those of a quad-core machine. The thermal unit of a quad-core machine is more powerful. A quad-core motherboard also comes with 4 RAM slots; its circuitry is designed to deliver 45 watts or 55 watts power needed by a quad-core CPU.

  • Itunes 10.5 and up using 100% CPU. Has anyone found a sure fix yet?

I have tried reinstalling everything in different order several times. The winsock... command worked for maybe a week but now it doesn't and I had to fix some of my firewall/internet safety software after doing so. Like many others I'm running Win 7 64bit. problem started after the 10.5 update. I've been searching the internet and forums and haven't seen a sure fix yet.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if the problem has been resolved.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

  • Has anyone else been experiencing CPU panics after upgrading to Mountain Lion?

Mac Pro, 8 core mid 2010, 32 GB RAM, 6 TB storage
Before upgrading to ML, I ran it in Parallels as a VM with no problems.  However, once I upgraded, I began to get CPU panics.  The core dump doesn't really point to a culprit.  I am using Apple approved RAM, all matched pairs at the same speed and I've not added fiber channel to my system yet.  I am running four to five VM's at a time and, during the time of panics, I was not compiling any code.
I've seen similar threads throughout the forums, so I am thinking that this is an OS level issue with a patch coming out at warp speed but I am curious as to wheither or not anyone has found the "smoking gun", the actual trigger for the panics.

Many thanks to the hatter.  Parallels, it seems is the culprit.  I am going to try to find a workaround but this ***** majorily.

  • Has anyone installed Jan 22 iCloud Control Panel 2.1.3 for Vista?

I'm wondering if anyone has installed this http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1687 (post date on the link is Jan 22, 2014)? If so, did you do it independent of any other Apple updates (like iTunes), and did everything work OK?
I'm wanting to install it (in the hope that I will get bookmark sync working again between my Vista and iOS devices), but am reluctant to do so after the iTunes debacle earlier this week. As far as I can see, the iTunes update still isn't working right (I used System Restore to back out of it and am waiting to see when the coast is clear before trying again. (Yes, I did see links about manually deleting files and all that, but prefer to wait for update to be fixed)

    OK - reporting back.
I installed with no problems and was able to open iCloud on my PC and check calendar, notes, reminders. Haven't yet checked bookmark syncing, will get to that when I can.
(I have Vista, IE9; have backed out latest iTunes update before installing this version of iCloud Control Panel)

  • Openkore: Has anyone gotten this to work yet?

I've been working with this package on and off for the last month or so and have not yet been able to successfully connect to a private server for Ragnarok Online.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to connect or where I'm limited to connect to if that's the case.  I just wanna play and can't seem to get beyond the initial configuration.  I have to reboot, but I'll edit this post with actual error messages and/or log files as soon as I come back.  Just wanted to get the thread started since I keep forgetting to do so.

I ssh into my NAS all the time via port 22; I have it forwarded to the internal IP of my NAS in Port Forwarding and it worked immediately.
    Destination port 22, TCP Any 22 -> 192.168.1.69

  • [Solved] KDE 4.4 Knetworkmanager, has anyone got this to work yet?

Been trying to get knetworkmanager working on KDE 4.4 and haven't got it to work yet.  Well initially it did work.  Here's the steps I did.
    1) Had network running '/etc/rc.d/network start
    2) Installed 'kdeplasma-applets-networkmanagement'
    3) Commented out interfaces in '/etc/rc.conf' and defined dhcp:
    eth1="dhcp"
    INTERFACES=(!eth0 !eth1 !wlan0)
    4) Set hostname in '/etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf':
    [main]
    plugins = keyfile
    [keyfile]
    hostname = pavilion
    5) Added 'networkmanager' to daemon array in '/etc/rc.conf'
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng crond alsa hal kdm dnsmasq networkmanager cups netfs)
    6) Added 'network' group to user:
    gpasswd -a gen2ly network
    7) Stopped network '/etc/rc.d/network stop'
    8) Brought down interfaces 'ifconfig eth0 down && ifconfig eth1 down && ifconfig wlan0 down'
    9) Started networkmanager
    /etc/rc.d/networkmanager start
    10) Started networkmanager applet (seems to me it was already started but I guess not??)
    11) Got connected to network.
After reboot however, the networkmanager applet is telling me 'Unmanaged' when I rollover it, and when I click it it says 'Network Management disabled'.  I've tried a couple things (like un-commenting the network devices on the interfaces line and restarting) to no effect.  Doesn't seem I'm able to get it up again.  Anyone else had luck with this?  Did I miss something?

Ah, anti-destin that is exactly what was needed to be done.  ... Thank you!  Threw be off a bit, it did .
Off-topic somewhere here now, Ok, a good deal off-topic.. looking at the wiki page for configuring I think the wiki under section, 'Disable interfaces' is erroneous.  Does NetworkManager really parse rc.conf?  I can't think of any reason it would need to.  I'm thinking that NetworkManager would naturally scan and then do dhcp on wired, followed by wireless.  And for those that do a static ip, they can configure the applet.  To test, I put this in my rc.conf:
    #eth0="dhcp"
    #eth1="dhcp"
    #wlan0="dhcp"
    INTERFACES=(!eth0 !eth1 !wlan0)
And it worked fine.  I'm thinking I could erase them and not have a problem.

  • Has anyone done 3G speed tests yet?

I assume all the problems mentioned here will get worked out in short order, but I've seen nothing here comparing 3G speeds to Wifi speeds on these new units.
If anyone has done some test along these line, could you post results?
    Thanks--

I know some people have been having problems with the 3G but I have been very happy with it so far. Setup took about 30 seconds yesterday. Initial speeds were around 1.8 Mbps download, then later slowed to around 1mbps, likely due to all the demand. Every speed test I ran showed the iPad to be at least 20% faster than my iPhone 3G. Around midnight it began to speed up as people went to bed - at one point I had 3.2mbps download, which is excellent considering AT&Ts max theoretical speed right now is 3.6mbps. I have never had a speed over 2.2mbps on my iPhone.
Today I was using it in the car on a route I often take. One area along the drive is an AT&T dead zone - my iPhone always drops to "No Signal" as do any other AT&T phones. Despite this, my iPad held on to 4 bars and managed a 1mbps speed test in the heart of the dead zone. I also have found the WiFi on the 3G model to be slightly stronger than the wifi only model, presumably due to the plastic top which breaks the aluminum case.
I for one do not have any problem with AT&T restricting some of the video apps. The iphone was the same way and I wasn't expecting the iPad to be any different. All in all I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

  • Has anyone dropped their new iphone yet?

So I dropped my phone on the carpet the other day, well actually it rolled on the carpet and I had a speck purple case on it.  So far it has been working fine.  Just wanted to get an opinion from others who may have dropped their phone, if it still works.

I was just worried because it is my first iPhone and I didn't know if just because there is nothing visibly broken, maybe something on the inside isn't working right?  Like a loose circuit or whatever.
