Has anyone deployed Oracle Identity Analytics applciation in Websphere?

Hi All,
I am facing an issue in accessing the deployed application.I have deployed the application on the default virtual hosts The appserver logs does not show any errors but the application could not be accessed using the url. Below is the URL i am using.
http://appservername:9081/rbacx.
If anyone has already deployed OIA in Webspshere, please let me know the steps you had followed or atleast how you are accessing the application.
Below are the details of my deployment.
OIA version : 11.1.1.3.6
Websphere version : 7
Thanks,
Jayakumar.

Bryan,
<p>I also put a lot of weight in Tom’s posts; I am however convinced that contacting Oracle Support is a better solution for direct, bug related questions. I do, for example not doubt that his human tasks did not work when put in parallel flows. There might be workarounds, such as putting the human workflow stuff in a separate service, but to me sounds like a bug and bugs should be reported, analyzed, and fixed.</p>
<p>As you can see from my profile, I do not live in Poland so I do not know about the training situation there, but I have, personally, delivered five SOA Suite classes so far during 2007 and I know that I am not the only one running SOA training in Sweden. I might be wrong, but based on my own experience, I have assumed that the lack of training that Tom is experiencing is due to communication problems, and that contacting Oracle Education would sort things out. (Training in Europe tends to be given in the local language. A quick look at the web shows that the next 5 day SOA Suite training in Poland seems to be scheduled for November 19th.)</p>
<p>On the topic of frequent changes in interfaces as mentioned above, I agree that an update of the table structure in a database must never cause business process updates. If that is the case, the architecture most likely suffers from tight coupling. I never recommend anyone to use adapters direct from BPEL try to but use (coarse gained) services published on the service bus as much as possible to avoid such problems. For an introduction to SOA best practices see (for example) Dave Schaffer’s 7 Steps to SOA in SOA World Magazine.</p>
<p>I am sorry if you feel that my posts are not providing the level of support you where hoping to find. Perhaps it is our expectations community/forums vs official product support that differs. Regarding whether Oracle has figured it out or not, you do not have to trust me – take a look at what InfoWorld or Forrester are saying.</p>
<p/>
Best,<BR>
Mathias

  • Has anyone implemented Oracle Pricing Analytics(7.9.6.4) with source EBS

    Hi all,
Has anyone implemented Oracle Pricing Analytics(7.9.6.4) with source EBS?
    Need urgent help!
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Kashi,
Thanks for your response. However, we are implementing Oracle Price Analytics using universal adaptor for EBS as source.
In BI apps 7.9.6.4, one approach is to populate the csv files and load using universal adaptor. Can anyone tell me what are the tables in EBS that I need to consider to populate these files for pricing analytics?
Are there any SQL queries available to populate pricing csv files?
    Any help will be appreciated.

  • Cache.cluster.multicast.ip and Installing Oracle Identity Analytics

After following the configuration steps outlined below, and deploying the war to Glassfish, I get an error starting RBACX that I think must be related to the cache.cluster.multicast.ip property settings below (error log follows the configuration step outlined next):
7.Make the following changes if there are multiple instances of Oracle Identity Analytics, standalone or clustered, on the same subnet.
    a.Navigate to rbacx_staging/WEB-INF directory.
b.In a text editor, open application-context.xml, find bean id commManager, and examine the constructor-arg value.
    c.Set the constructor-arg value with a unique instance name, e.g. value="SRM-Instance-1".
d.In a text editor, open search-context.xml, find bean id searchConfiguration, and examine the constructor-arg value.
•The deployment is a standalone, constructor-arg defaults to a value of 0, which is specified as value="0".
e.Navigate to rbacx_staging/WEB-INF/classes directory and do the following:
i.In a text editor, open oscache.properties (located in the rbacx_staging/WEB-INF/classes directory), and find the cache.cluster.multicast.ip property.
ii.Uncomment cache.cluster.multicast.ip by removing the # at the start of the line. Each Oracle Identity Analytics instance requires a unique cache.cluster.multicast.ip value.

Did you import all the relevant sql scripts for your database? You have to import all the migrate/upgrade scripts as well. Once you have imported all the required sql scripts, it will start properly. You can ignore the cluster warnings.

  • Has anyone deployed converged access with 3850 switches and 5760 WLCs?

Has anyone deployed a converged access network architecture with 3850 switches and 5760 WLCs? I have done lots of projects with the 5508 WLCs In a centralized deployment. Basically with this design, I manage 2 logical networks as the wireless network is an overlay over the wired network. I can design firewall to segregate traffic between the wired and wireless hence I can carry both staff and guest traffic.
Now Cisco is telling us that there is new design such that the dats plane traffic can be dropped locally through the 3850 switched. I am not sold on this and have not found any recommended best practices on when should we use a converged access architecture.
    Pros
With converged access, data traffic is terminated at the MA which is on the switches, hence the WLC will not be a bottleneck? This is to prepare adoption for 802.11ac?
Less hops for voice calls from user A to user B as data control traffic is dropped locally.
    Cons
Now how do I segregate guest and staff traffic if my security folks say I need a firewall?
Troubleshooting wireless client mobility will be a nightmare as the 3850 switches are MA.
Pushing and upgrading code for the Code will mean upgrading the stack of switches in the LAN riser. This will be painful in a huge campus environment like an university.
Can someone convince me why would a customer choose converged access?

They choose CA because of the capwap termination at the switch. You can still use a 5508 and tunnel guest to a DMZ segment if you wish. You will need a 5508 though is you want to tunnel traffic to an anchor WLC.

  • Has Anyone Gotten Oracle ORION on Sparc 10 Working?

    Hi,
I was interested in running Oracle ORION on Solaris 10 (Sparc 64 bit). I downloaded the necessary tar.gz from the Oracle web site (http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/orion/index.html) and extracted it and made it executable (and renamed it to orion although this isn't necessary). When I try to run it with even the simplist test after creating test1.lun with the necessary devices:
    ./orion -run simple -testname test1 -num_disks 2
    I got the following error:
"Parse error: View help screen using orion -help."
I checked the parameters and recopied them several times and I'm 100% sure that they are correct. I used ldd to make sure that all the libraries were available and they are. I then decided to use truss (kind of like strace for Linux users) to see what's happening. I find the Oracle binary looking for strange libraries that aren't mentioned anywhere. For example, it's looking for libociicus.so as well a bunch of other libraries, even though this wasn't mentioned in the Orion User's Manual. I hunted down the necessary 'additional' libraries and found them in the Oracle 10G Install Client, which I downloaded from http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/oci/instantclient/index.html (a nice 38 MB download). I then set up LD_LIBRARY_PATH and now truss shows me the orion binary looking for oracore/mesg/lrmus.msb. Now why is ORION looking for this? I found the necessary file and copied it to the location that orion was looking for and thought that that would solve my problem, but it's still giving me the same error. Any ideas? Has anyone gotten ORION running under Solaris 10 (on SPARC or even x86)? I added the truss output below in case that helps. Thanks for your help.

  • Has anyone installed Oracle VM Server on Sun X4600 machines

    Hi,
I am having problems with Oracle VM Server on Sun X4600 machines with 8 dual-core AMD opteron 8220 processors and 32 GB ram. The repository is on a shared LUN over two Emulex LPe11000 HBA's.
My problem is basically that dom0 reboots when I power on certain guest installations. I have succesfully installed EL4U5 guests after setting the irqpoll in grub.conf of dom0. But I am unable to complete an installation of for example EL5U1 or some of the templates available on the Oracle web site. Half way through the installation or when I power on the template the dom0 reboots.
Has anyone experiences with Oracle VM on these machines or similar hardware ?

You can download RedHat advance server from following site.
This is only for oracle internal use.
    http://tintin/oralnx/oralnx.html
    Go to Download section.
Click on RedHat Advanced Server 2.1 and go to 2.1-Gold-CD.
This has five CD CD 1to 3 for server install. 3 and 4 has all source rpm. 5 is doc cd. checksum file has checksum for all 5 CD.
If you have any question let me know.

  • Has anyone run the Identity Management Suite on an OpenSolaris Amazon AMI

    Hi
I want to do some evaluation and training on the IdM Suite and was wondering has anyone succeeded in getting the suite (including the Directroy Server etc) to run on an OpenSolaris image on Amazon EC2?
    Regards
    John

you have your driver jar in Tomcat\common\lib?
if so, check your classpath, it could be that.

  • Has anyone deployed in production using SOASuite ?

Just want to check if anyone is using ESB / Oracle BPEL in production.
Lately we have been facing some issues and we r wondering if we should cut our losses or is it worth continuing ?

    Bryan,
<p>I also put a lot of weight in Tom’s posts; I am however convinced that contacting Oracle Support is a better solution for direct, bug related questions.
    <p/>
    Best,<BR>

  • Cisco CSM - Has anyone deployed it in their environment for IDS/IPS devices

We are an MSP and are evaluating Cisco CSM to manage about 50 IDS/IPS devices. Each of these devices has their own customer signature policy.
Does anyone use it in their production environments? Do you find it useful?
Regarding policy management for devices that already have a signature policy, I know you can discover the policy, what we want to do is take the current discovered policy, modify it if we need to and then re-deploy it to the device. I'm finding that this is all read only once the policy is discovered.
Is there a way to modify the signature, for example, adding a logging parameter and then re-deploy?
Just curious if others had similar experiences with CSM.
    Thanks!

    haxworthy,
I currently use CSM to manager a variety of IPS devices (IOS IPS, 42xx Sensors, 65xx-series blades). The policies vary on some devices. CSM works wonderfully. CSM discoveries the various policies on the device on an individual basis. Policies can then be edited on a per-sensor basis or on a group level. Has worked wonderful in our environment. A nice upgrade from the old IPSMC. Let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Has anyone used Oracle Designer??

    Hello everyone, I wanted to
get some unbiased opinions about Oracle Designer if anyone out there has used it.
We have recently completed the database design (on paper) for an Oracle 8i
Database. I was about to begin creating that database on the server. I was
at and Oracle Forms course and they strongly recommended that we use Designer to build the project. We had planned on developing using Oracle Developer, which we have already purchased and used a little.
If anyone has experience with it could you answer a few questions for me:
-is it worth the time to learn that product?
    -is it difficult to learn?
-what benefits will it give us?
-are there any drawbacks we need to consider?
-there are only two of us working on this project & we have both recently
gone through rigorous Oracle 8i database training and Oracle Developer - so
we're leery of learning another new product .
Thanks for your help, any input is appreciated.

We use des/2000 mainly in our application for oralce forms generation. The layout of items in the casvas is phenomenal. Lets say, we have 20 items, and we wanna group them in 5, and thus each group contains 4 items and lay them out neatly with basic contraints defined at the table level. In the normal conventional method, we use dev/2000 to create these items in the canvas and lay them out manually and write program units for enforcing on the clients. Of course, dev/2000 does some lay outs, but it's not equivalent to des/2000 layout style. In case of des/2000, create them in the des/2000 tool and do the settings in preference navigator, and generate the form. that gives you very nice layout style (which is completely different from dev/2000 auto layout). Let's say in future, you're adding an item in some place (for eg., in one of groups or a the end of the canvas or at the beginning of the canvas), then just go to des/2000 and add the item in the correct place (ie b4 and after the items that are already exists), and generate the module again, you get nice layout again. This reduces the lay out time, manually doing it in dev/2000. We're pleased by this feature in the des/2000. I like the way it works and also, it's easy to get Entity Relatoinship Diagrams etc..more and more)
For a complicated, life time evolving projects, worth to spend time. Bcos, it'll take less time in future when we do changes for our application, of course, at the beginning it takes bit longer time to finish the project in des/2000, before the generation, but it's worth. For a smaller projects, I'dnt go for des/2000 tools. It's much easier to do it in dev/2000 tools.
Once you define tables and other objects in des/2000, generate the ddl script and apply them to other oracle databases, there you go, you get the tables and other objects created in another database without spending lots of time. Let's say you have 20 customers, and your application is 300 tables. You need to do some customization for each and every customer. In that case, generate the ddl out of case, and copy the same scripts in 20 different files and do the modifications in the script according to the customer requiremetns, and send them to customer to create their objects, you can imagine how cumbersome in case of normal conventional way.
If you know the power of des/2000 tool, you wont regret to learn it. Again, it's worth spending time and money for bigger projects, nor for smaller projects.

  • Has anyone tried ORACLE VM VIRTUALBOX?

I have just come across this application after I downloaded "Open Office" from Oracle, a free Office Suite. I sounds like this "VirtualBox" is like parallel desktops, but for many diffeent OS's besides Windows. Here is the website: http://www.oracle.com/us/technologies/virtualization/oraclevm/061976.html
    DESCRIPTION:
    MORE ABOUT ORACLE VM VIRTUALBOX
Multiple operating systems on one desktop
Cross-platform guests and hosts including Windows, Linux, and Oracle Solaris, and Mac OS X as a host
Teleportation of running virtual machines between hosts without interruption
    High performance
Support for massive workloads of up to 32 virtual CPUs
    OVF format support

As others have said, it has been around for years. I used it to run Windows XP in both Tiger and Leopard, but when I upgraded to Snow Leopard the then current version of Virtual Box was not ready for the new Mac system, so I never installed it.
It worked fine, once it got set-up properly, but setting it up was not exactly easy. Like many open source applications it was a bit non-intuitive for a Mac user, and the directions were not particularly clear. I believe it took several weeks before everything was working the way I wanted (to be fair, I did want to set it up in a slightly non-standard way).
