I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places. I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file. There must be something else that's missing. My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive. If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess. I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={ Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period. I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive. Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me). As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!"

HT203180 I recently downloaded the simpsons in hd. After downloading it will not synch the shows with my ipad, touch or ipod. Any ideas on how to synch the shows? I have previously downloaded show and had no issues.

I've downloaded the most recent update for ipod, it's installed in my computer but I can't get it to run. It always prompts me to restart my computer, which I do...then nothing. It's this constant cycle of trying to get the update to run and nothing works. Also, I've noticed my computer runs really slow and keeps freezing while I attempt to do this - I don't know if that's related.
2. I can't get my computer to recognize my iPod. I've tried ALL (and I do mean all of them...repeatedly!) of the steps the website offered (try a different USB port etc., rename the disk drive -- only problem being the computer doesn't recognize the F drive or whatever is associated with my ipod) plus some of the tips offered on this forum (there are some really helpful & knowledgeable folks here!) and nothing.
It's driving me insane. As much as I try and solve it myself, I'm starting to get really confused.
Can someone help a girl out?

Saving as PDF/X-1a and can't get cropmarks to work

I could do this until recently but now it is not working.
Basically When I switch the compatibility to anything after Acrobat 4 I cannot get cropmarks in my PDF files. Any ideas?

I'm using CS3. I just found that if I change the standard to PDF/X-4:2007 I can get the cropmarks to work. I think it has something to do with the standard. But again it just seems odd. I don't recall ever changing the standard before.

Has anyone bought Suokdu for the Nano? I can't get the game ICON to sync...

Simple issue, could be a bug... I bought Sudoku for my 3rd gen Nano and sync'd up without a hitch, however, in the game list there is no pretty colored icon for Sudoku. Instead, a grayscale picture of a six-sided die. I went back to iTunes to see if games possessed Artwork, and it turns out that Sudoku has a graphic in there. I went through the process of removing and resyncing but no such fix.
Like I said, it's just a little issue, nothing that takes away from the gaming experience however I would hate to purchase more and more games only to get a list of dice icons. Vortex, iQuiz, and Solitaire all look so nice on this amazing little screen.

It sounds like you have gone from a cable router with the TC bridged to a cable modem with no router.. so the first device to connect pick up the IP address. Did the cable company give you the same model?? Check if it is a pure modem or a modem router.. and what the last one was.
Anyway.. you should redo the setup.. do you have any computer with ethernet?? Did you buy a USB to ethernet adapter for one of your airs.. very hard to do setup without ethernet.
Also download the new utility.. with the old style.

Redo the setup and make sure you setup correctly to router mode if the cable modem has no router or bridge mode if it is a router.

I can't get sound to work once I export my indesign file to pdf

I am tyring to get a sound to play on a project I am working on, I've tried making a button to play an mp3 and I've tried converting the file using the Adobe Media Encoder to f4v and I've instructed it to play on page load and that doesn't work either. I'm at wits end trying this because I have a deadline tomorrow and I've been trying to get this last touch done for around 24 hours. I just need some help!

I have bought a Idjay system and I have the App on the 4S phone however the phone is not aknowledging the system. After googling we found that their is an issue with IOS7 for this system. So we tried an Itouch, its on IOS6 but doesnt work. Then tried an Ipad but the first version. Thought we had success when the Ipad seen the system connect to it. However I then went to download the App onto the Ipad but it needs IOS6 onwards and as its the first model of the Ipad the latest version is 5.1.1 so I cant download the App...
Any suggestions? do you know how to get the 4S phone to work with it as that would be the ideal scenario?

First, open Finder, go to Applications folder and delete iWork '06. Then, open Pages and it will use the most recent version

Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the iphoto for ios app until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart iPhoto for ios and see if it works normally.
