Has anyone managed to change the battery in a creative Zen MX

=i bought a 6gb zen MX? in November 2007 and have used it every day since. The battery is now in a sorry state and doesn't hold a charge for more than about 4 hours. After fully charging it, if you then leave it overnight the battery almost totally depletes. The battery is definitely a goner. Has anyone opened one of these players, changed the battery and then got the thing back together successfully? I've looked around on the net but can't find any info on how i might open the player to insert a new battery. Meanwhile i've bought a new Creative ZenMX but i prefer the old one with its dedicated slider for on/off and lock and it would be great if i could somehow get a new battery into it.
I still have my old Ceati've Zen Jukeboxes (30gb and 60gb) and i wore a couple of batteries out in those. But all you had to do was open the player and shove in a new battery. Shame that facility no longer exists in Creative's MP3 players.
Any help on the issue of replacing the battery in an MX would be much appreciated.

Now i have a problem in obtaining a replacement battery. Back in the day you could phone Creative (in Ireland) and order replacement batteries but alas, no longer. On the net you can easily find replacement batteries for every Creative player.....except for the Zen MX. ? The replacement x-fi battery looks similar? and has the same wire connections but it is 3.7v as opposed to 3.6v in the MX. Also the x-fi battery is rated at? 550mAh while the MX is rated at 0.55AH. (Though i guess that could mean they are the same capacity only it's written differently)
The Creative part number for the MX battery is BAC0603R79925 and the Creative Model No is : LPC6333445
If anyone knows where to obtain this battery please post.

HT1476 has anyone else experienced unusually fast battery drainage with the iphone 5

My iphone 5 seems to need recharging by the late afternoon even though it is not being used that much, checking emails periodically and few phone calls. Location services is off, notifications are off. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same issues.

I've got the same poor battery life problem. I only get about 12hrs without having to charge it. And I use it the same as my iPhone 4. I read that a reboot after restoring from my iphone 4 backup might help. Time will tell, but i hope there's a software fix and not poor battery quality or something.

Since iOS 5.1.1 update has anyone else noticed a much greater battery consumption on all fronts? My phone used to rock steady all day and know is around 47% 12 noon to 1 pm with the same amount of usage.

Heres a support question... how the **** do I fix the dramatic battery drain problem that came about after installing 5.1.1? Suggestions for fixing problems on iTunes did not work.

Has anyone else noticed that the iOS 6 Maps App is missing the area code for many places it has listed?

If I try to look up a local business on the Maps App it drops a pin on all of the locations matching my search parameters. However, when I get details about a dropped pin, the phone number is usually missing the area code! For example, if the phone number is +1 (123) 555-5555 it would show up as +1 (555) 555-5. This makes it impossible to call directly from the maps app or to copy and paste infront of a manually entered area code (because of the '+1'). Has anyone else noticed this?

Has anyone else had difficulty using WPA2 Internet sharing with their Apple TV? Any solutions?

I've seen references to this on here, but no solutions.
I use my 27" 2010 iMac to share Internet in my home, latest versions of OSX and iOS.. Works fine, sharing with iPhones, an iPad and my Apple TV 2.
Recently though, I changed to WPA2, and the Apple TV can't see Home Sharing is on. If I switch security (ie WPA2) off, then it can see it again.
So has anyone found a way to use WPA2 successfully with their Apple TV?

Unfortunately you have a lot of very questionable old, incompatible, and probably bad software on your Mac that is not playing well with Mavericks. Some of these can be difficult to uninstall, particularly if you are not familiar with poking around in Mac system folders.
You might consider cutting to the chase and doing a clean install:
backup your documents and passwords, network settings, etc.
Completely erase your hard drive
Reinstall mavericks and your apps from scratch (not from backups)
and finally replacing your documents.
It can be a good thing. Spring cleaning. If you want to go this route, let me know, I can give you some more detailed suggestions for how to do it. The advantage is you can get Mavericks running really fast and reliably, and then be more selective about what you reinstall. A lot of the stuff you have on there is probably from apps you don't even use anymore (like for your Blackberry), or that really aren't necessary.

Both of my Macs running OSX 10.7.1 are now exhibiting this behavior. The color picker defaults to black regardless of which color I chose.
I have deleted preferences, reinstalled the program, tried to use the color picker on images as well as Captivate shapes (squares, ellipses), but it still defaults to black. I have also tried new projects and pre-existing projects. Defaults to black.
No similar problems with Cp 5.5, which I have installed on only one of my computers (so can't attribute this to a Cp version conflict)
Has anyone else has this behavior? Any known fixes?

My I phgone 5 arrived oin a perfectly sealed box with a chip in the aluminum on the back side and scratches in the aluminum on the bottom and the top of the phone. Has anyone else had this happen ??

the black iphones are being damaged at the Foxconn factory. Apple is aware and is replacing the damaged/scuffed/chipped/scratched devices.
but if i were you id hurry. there was a riot involving 2,000 Foxconn workers this morning, and the iphone assembly lines were damaged, and the factory shutdown as a result of the damage.
iphone 5 is gonna get scarce- get your replacement while can, or you might be waiting a long time

OK, has anyone out there had the same time suck constant problems? I've had LR now for about 6 months and it has given me more problems than it has been worth.

Has anyone had the same time suck problems? Always something. Couldn't publish to Flickr, now it's FB. Last batch of images loaded all over exposed. I didn't touch any settings......I was gone. I run MAC Yosemite. Personally I think this program sucks. If it weren't for the creative development it would go in the trash.

Scott Kelby's book on LR6 is expected to be on Amazon this week. You may find it very helpful to study a well-structured text book on Lightroom. Many of the "time suck" problems are solved through good basic training.

Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. It has been nearly 3 months since the last maintenance release, v21. The major update, v20 was released a long time ago. Since then, I haven't even heard of any rumour or info about the next FW update for the N86.

Unfortunately Nokia's software update plans are well-kept secrets and aside from occasional leaks and some exceptional circumstances (e.g. letting people know that fixes are on the way after the recent E75 debacle) nobody outside of Nokia really knows what's going on. I apologize to everyone for posting again. I just thought maybe this would be helpful? Am canceling my shipment to apple for the battery replacement and ordering it from here instead. The video is good and easy to understand and it didn't look complicated in opening up the iPod. I usually order most of my accessories from this site, so I trust it so far. Hmmm....a huge risk here eh? At least it's better than paying $72.

I've bought quite a few things from Newer Tech - though not an iPod battery. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them. And you are right, the replacement isn't all that hard. Opening the case is a bit fiddly and if your fingers are short and stubby like mine plugging the new battery in can be challenging. (I use a pair of non-conducting forceps.)
Personally, I think you've made the right choice. You have a known working iPod without issues and replacing the battery isn't difficult. I think it is a better solution than getting an iPod of unknown provenance.

Some likely have... this is an issue reported after every iOS upate.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide typically resolves the issue.

It seems the update fixed old problems for some and caused new problems for others. Sorry to hear you're in the latter group.
Here are some things to try.
1. Go to System Preferences > Network, and click the gear icon under the network interfaces like so:
Whatever service order you have set, drag Wi-Fi either to the top (assuming it's not already there) or someplace else in the list. Click OK and then Apply. Sleep the system then wake it again to observe any changes.
2. Click Wi-Fi in the above then click Advanced. Select all the networks your computer has ever joined and delete them with the "-" button. OK then Apply again. Select your network under the AirPort icon to re-join it. Sleep and wake again to see if that did anything.
3. Try creating a new, temporary user account. Log in under that account to see if its behavior is any different.
You may have done all of these already but perhaps there is something you have not thought of. If nothing helps we may just have to wait a bit longer for Apple to release a fix.

Has anyone else noticed that the flag accelerators are broken in LR5?

I'm running LR5 on Windows 64 bit and have noticed that the flag accelerator keys, P, U and X don't work. When I press these in the Library module, the text pop-up tells me that the appropriate flag state is being set but the flag never actually changes state. To change the flag, I have to right click and use the "Set Flag..." context menu. This makes editing a lot slower since I can no longer move through all the shots and pick selects and rejects using the keyboard. Can anyone suggest a workaround?

Thanks for the pointer. In the end, it seems that this was some local weirdness. It's been failing for a couple of days but, after posting the question, I closed LR and restarted and, hey presto, the accelerators and working correctly again. Probably just another case of Windows bit rot but I'll keep my eyes open for a repeat since I've never seen Lightroom behave that way before.
