Has anyone else had problems with the iPhone 4 overheating after an upgrade to iOS7?

My iPhone has been running hot sinced I upgraded to iOS7. Today, it rattled through more than 50% of its power while I was sending a text message, became so hot that I couldn't hold it, switched to temperature protection mode and then shut down completely. It is now blank.

Same for me! my iphone 4s gets extremely hot whit IOS 7.0.2.

Hi, now I own a iPhone 4S, and have noticed that it takes extremely horrible pictures and video.
The focus is only decent on the right half of the photo and is extremely blurry on the left hand side.

Both of you have registered the same email address for iMessage. If you were using a shared Apple ID and you updated your phones to iOS5, the default will be the Apple ID. Go into settings and change it.

Each time i tried to open it, iMovie would hang with the startup dialog saying there was less than a minute left to load the video.
I trashed the video and pulled up my backup from my outboard drive (tedious; >.5hr over USB 2), i'm going to try again.
I have QT Pro also (i upgraded for the file conversion features, mostly).

Has anyone else had problems with the latest system updates to Mac OS X v10.6.8 with the java virus patch?

After installing the latest updates to Snow Leopard the system hangs up and will not open properly. This is the update to Java, etc after the virus was discovered. I have done the updates on four different systems with the same result.

No problems with the Java update here, although I have Java disabled. Might try reapplying the Java standalone while in Safe Boot (Shift at startup chime), if you did it from Software Update.

Has anyone else had trouble with the iphone 5 touch screen?

So this happened within the last week. I bought my iPhone 5 brand new, its been perfect up until i clicked on my email icon at the bottom and it opened the calendar that is at the top of the screen. Also, when typing in imessage it clicked edit by itself, as if i wanted to delete text messages. Also, if you press your finger down on one spot on the screen and don't move, the screen shakes until it randomly decides to click something. I just want to know if anyone else has had this problem, if so did you restore it or just take it to apple? Also, If i restart it or do a hard reset it works fine for a bit then randomly decides to go crazy.

Has anyone else had problems with the recent iMovie update?

I installed the latest iMovie, iWeb, iDVD, QT, and Security update this morning. I restarted and opened an iMovie project and it crashed three times within about 10 minutes. All I was doing was editing some audio clips on the timeline, I wasn't even rendering anything.
Just wondered if anyone else has had any problems since the update?

TS3899 Has anyone else had issues with the mail app after downloading the 6.1.2 update on their iphone 5?

After downloading the 6.1.2 update on my iphone 5, the mail app won't even open, nor will the mail settings in the settings section. Has any one else had this problem, if so is there a way to fix it?

I've updated two iPhone 3GS to iOS6.1.2. Both no longer work with Hotmail. Tried deleting account followed by a reset. Both still stuck trying to verify account for about 5mins before failing to verify account information. Giving up at this point as I cannot bill Apple for the hours spent so far trying to fix this. Lately I'm spending more and more time resolving issues with Apple software iOS and OSX ML. Apple's reputation is falling rapidly. Such a pity.
Moved to Safari trying to log in over a web browser. That failed as well. Cleared the cache and cookies followed by a reset. Enabled accept cookies to Always and then was able to log in to hotmail and see emails through Safari.
I realise that 3GS is relatively older technology but iOS 6 has not been good to this platform. Everything runs slower than before and there are bugs I'm seeing that are not in the public domain. It's not a hardware fault as my wife's phone is behaving the same way. She's not too pleased either IMHO.
These issues are not happening on Ipad after applying the same update.

Has anyone else had problems with the lack of sensitivity with the screen? The outter edges doesn't work some times, it's very annoying and I'm curious if it's just a defect with my phone or a wide spread issue.

Mine's fine.
Do the basic troubleshooting steps: restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. If those don't work, bring the phone to Apple for replacement. And if you put a screen protector on, take it off and see if that solves the problem.

hi ya . it wouldnt put my contacts into my windows contacts folder. a iphone 4 would but a 4s doesnt. took it to apple store and they know sod all there and was a waste of time. sorted it myself, you have to turn off icloud and turn off contacts syncing in the i cloud setting then it does it

HT2801 Has anyone else had problems with the dvd player in pre unibody macbook pros?

My 2007 macbook pro has a skrewed up dvd drive. It doesn't seem to matter if the dvd is brand new or badly scratched: iDVD takes several minutes to pop up and several more to recognise that there is a disc present and several more to start reading it. Half the time the drive just spins the dvd around really fast and makes a lot of noise and gets the fans maxed out and then stalls and eventually decides to give up. After giving up on playing the disc it usually has a hard time deciding whether or not to eject the disc! I don't know if its just burnt out and needing replacing or if there is an inherent flaw in the manufacture/design of the drive. Either way it really irritating.

SuperDrives wear out - it seems that yours might be on the verge of a mechanical failure. I'd just replace it, buying a new drive from Other World Computing and installing it yourself (because Apple would charge a small fortune).

Has anyone else had problems since the latest itunes/ipod update?

since i got my ipod and itunes updated, ive had nothing but problems with my ipod. sometimes it freezes, and when i connect it to the computer its all of a sudden corrupted. Sometimes this happens when i connect it to my computer to charge, and gets stuck on the do not disconnect screen. Sometimes ill be listening to music or watching something on my ipod and itll turn off randomly for no reason, then the apple symbol will come on as if i turned the ipod on again. Right now my ipod is frozen on the do not disconnect screen, and i have no choice but to restore it, however it wont even show up on itunes when its frozen sometimes, like right now. Has anyone else had problems since the latest ipod update?

I've tried everything others have suggested without any luck.
Now I'm stuck with a 300 bucks mp3 jalopy.
My big question here is :
why aren't we hearing from apple? why aren't they saying something like "yeah we messed things up but be patient. we are trying our best to fix it..." ?
I was thinking to buy the macbook pro but now I'm afraid of the day things will get messy with that too.

New iMac user. My mouse doesn't seem to work properly on websites. I just want to be able to click and have it do whatever I've clicked on automatically, for example "print" or "open link". Has anyone else had problems with their mouse?

This is most likely just a settings issue with your mouse that you are able to change through the System Preferences. I have an article for you that can help you set this back to default, and that article can be found right here:

Specifically, you will want to pay close attention to this section of that article:
Customize your mouse
The Mouse preferences pane looks different depending on what kind of mouse you use. These settings let you set the sensitivity of the mouse to control how fast the pointer moves across your screen when you move your mouse, and adjust for your double-click reflexes. Other controls may be available, depending on the type of mouse you're using.
Open System Preferences.
Choose View > Mouse, or simply click Mouse.
To control how fast the pointer (cursor) moves across your screen when you move the mouse, click Point & Click and use the Tracking slider to adjust speed.
If Double-Click Speed appears, you can use the Double-Click slider to adjust speed.
If your mouse has a scroll wheel, you can use the Scrolling slider to adjust speed.
To change gesture settings, click the More Gestures tab. You can enable and disable gestures for swipe and Mission Control.
Judging by your post, I believe your secondary click setting is set to use the left side of the mouse. The default set up for a former Windows user to be most comfortable would be having the secondary click set to the right side of the mouse, as is shown in the picture I have inserted above. Note that these settings will be explained by the little video on the right hand side of this window as you hover over the description of the action on the left hand side.
