Has anyone else noticed issue with in and out points of Ratings?

Hi,
I have noticed that for some clips, the end point of a rating (i.e. Rejected) is the same as the in point of another rating (e.g. Favourite).
How can this be? Is FCPX treating the out point as the frame after the selected section of a clip, rather than the last frame of the selected section?

I agree with your assessment, but really Apply should change this so that the end point of a rating is inclusive (i.e. the end point of the REJECTED rating above should be 00:03:09:14 not 00:03:09:15).
Another bug to report to Apple!

Happy to report that iTunes Match has returned to working like normal on iTunes 10.7 on my computer today. If any iTunes engineers read this thread, I really appreciate the fix.

Has anyone else had issues with the notification led and flash?

the flash will flicker on only the right led then no activity after that, i have tried using it in the camera app and a flashlight app, also i dont see any color/light from the notification led that i have setup in messaging. has anyone else had this issue and solved it?

Try a Power Cycle.. Press and Hold the power button till your Turbo shuts off then re-powers itself after doing this retry using the Led flash with your camera

Has anyone else had issues with Verizon Personal Hotspot disappearing?

My Verizon Personal Hotspot has disappeared for the second time in three weeks. I talked to Verizon and they claim it is an Apple issue. Have anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it? Thanks!

Credits from promotions do expire, and no notice is given. It's up to the company delivering the promotion to post the expiration date, which all the ones I have seen did, though sometimes they buried it in the "fine print". Check with the promoting company, or post what promotion issued the credits and perhaps someone here can confirm whether or not the credits have expired.

HAS ANYONE ELSE NOTICED THIS WITH MAVERICKS

I can't help but notice since I loaded Mavericks, that my Mac is running way too much. It runs and rattles away like I'm calculating the postion of each star in the galaxie. I have never heard it work so hard, and It's not even doing anything. It's like a car sitting still and reving the engine. It rattles on for up to 10 minutes at a time before it stops.
I just wanted to know if anyone else has been noticing this. Taking into account all the other downgrades that came with Mavericks, I'm wondering if we might have to upgrade back to Mountain Lion.
I don't want to sound negative, but I am looking for input from others to see if mine is the only Mack that took the hit.

Has anyone else had issues with their Mac running slowly after installing Mavericks?

Ever since I installed Mavericks, my MacBook is running waaaaay slower. One of my favorite things about Macs has always been how fast they boot up, but ever since Mavericks, mine takes forever. A lot of programs like GarageBand and Premiere Pro are also running really slowly. They used to work great. Anyone else having this same issue?

The first thing to do is ensure you have adequate backups, because what you describe can be a symptom of impending disk failure.
To help determine the possible causes of this behaviour read the following. None of what follows is intended to fix anything, but it will provide the additional information required to advance troubleshooting. There are four separate parts to it; read everything first.
Boot OS X Recovery by holding ⌘ and r (two fingers) while you start your Mac. At the Mac OS X Utilities screen, select Disk Utility. Select your startup volume (usually named "Macintosh HD") and click the Repair Disk button. Describe any errors it reports in red. If Disk Utility reports "The volume Macintosh HD appears to be OK" in green then you can be reasonably (though not completely) assured your hard disk is in good working order.
When it finishes restart your Mac and test again for operation. If it's still not behaving as you expect it should, please post the results of EtreCheck in accordance with the following instructions:

It contains a link to download EtreCheck. Don't download it from anywhere else (such as may be found by following the results of an Internet search).

Copy and paste its output in a reply.
Do not be concerned about anything that says "Problem" or “failed” or anything else that may appear in red.
EtreCheck was designed to remove any personal information (such as your computer's name and serial numbers) but if you see anything that looks like an email address or any other personal information that should not be divulged to others, please delete or obscure that information when you post the reply.
When you are finished with EtreCheck, quit the program. It occupies very little space, and you can keep it or drag it to the Trash as you wish.
After completing the above please determine if the problems also occur in "Safe Mode":
Safe Mode or "Safe Boot" is a troubleshooting mode that bypasses all third party system extensions and loads only required system components. Read about it: Starting up in Safe Mode
You must disable FileVault before you can start your Mac in Safe Mode.
Starting your Mac in Safe Mode will take longer than usual, graphics will not render smoothly, audio is disabled on some Macs, and some programs (iTunes for example) may not work at all.
Merely starting your Mac in Safe Mode is not intended to resolve the problem, it's to observe its performance without certain additional components.
To end Safe Mode restart your Mac normally. Shutdown will take longer as well.
System performance problems for reasons that cannot be isolated to any other cause justify an SMC reset. Be sure to read the procedure carefully and follow all the steps exactly as written, even if they seem inapplicable or trivial.

Has anyone had a issue with itunes and windows 8.1?

I upgraded to Window 8.1 and now when I plug in my ipod nano gen 4 I get a message that says "ipod detected but it could not be identified". It also does not recognize my iphone 4. Microsoft says it is an itunes driver issue that is not compatible with the 8.1. Has anyone experience this?

Anyone else having issues with cpu and disk io?

I have an hp pavilion 500-424. it has a 2.0 ghz quadcore amd and 12 gb of memory. it came installed with windows 8.1 *(which i game on). so what i did was pull out the hard-drive and formatted and older drive to put in and install windows 10 on....i wanted
it to be the best experience i could possibly have. what i found was that windows 10 was using anywhere from 50% to 70% of my cpu and my disk was pretty much always st 100%. so it was slow and hung up allot. the drive i put win10 on was a seagate st3120213as.
i looked up the specs thinking maybe the data transfer rate wasn't fast enough but its supposed to have a transfer rate of 300MBps. it became so annoying that i pulled the drive and put my original back in until i can come up with some sort of
solution. i am open to any suggestion anyone might have on correcting this issue.

I ran into a similar problem. I took the upgrade path from WIN 7 to WIN 10.
Before going down the upgrade path I cloned a separate drive to preserve my original WIN 7 installation.
After upgrading to WIN 10 The system would eventually lock up and require a hard shutdown and reboot. I investigated via Task Manager and observed where the DISK I/O would max out at 100% and shortly thereafter the system would lock up. I
did a fresh reinstall of WIN 10 from scratch on the same system and found that everything worked fine. So, I cloned a drive one more time and went down the upgrade path again and was finally able to isolate the problem child that was causing the DISK I/O to
max at 100%.
After going through a long list of potential applications that could be causing the problem by removing them one by one before the system would lock up, I finally arrived at the ACRONIS software. In my case it was the ACRONIS 14 software that came with my
Crucial SSD. I installed the ACRONIS 14 software in the WIN 7 environment and there it works just fine. However, after upgrading to WIN 10 it caused havoc. Once the ACRONIS 14 software was removed, the WIN 10 upgrade seems just fine and so far
has been stable.

TS3899 Has anyone else had issues with the mail app after downloading the 6.1.2 update on their iphone 5?

After downloading the 6.1.2 update on my iphone 5, the mail app won't even open, nor will the mail settings in the settings section. Has any one else had this problem, if so is there a way to fix it?

I've updated two iPhone 3GS to iOS6.1.2. Both no longer work with Hotmail. Tried deleting account followed by a reset. Both still stuck trying to verify account for about 5mins before failing to verify account information. Giving up at this point as I cannot bill Apple for the hours spent so far trying to fix this. Lately I'm spending more and more time resolving issues with Apple software iOS and OSX ML. Apple's reputation is falling rapidly. Such a pity.
Moved to Safari trying to log in over a web browser. That failed as well. Cleared the cache and cookies followed by a reset. Enabled accept cookies to Always and then was able to log in to hotmail and see emails through Safari.
I realise that 3GS is relatively older technology but iOS 6 has not been good to this platform. Everything runs slower than before and there are bugs I'm seeing that are not in the public domain. It's not a hardware fault as my wife's phone is behaving the same way. She's not too pleased either IMHO.
These issues are not happening on Ipad after applying the same update.

Anyone else having issues with messages and alerts being delayed on their iPhone 5?

Numerous times now, I have received message alerts from various apps but mostly iMessage on my iPad long before they ever show up on my iPhone 5. Then when I open iMessage on my iPhone, the messages start arriving, even though I have already had them on my iPad for sometime. Often, I will get a notification on my iPhone five that I have received a message. But then, when I open iMessage, there is no message at first, but after a while it will finally come through.

I've had no problems with Facebook on my iPhone 5 but here are a couple of suggestions.
1. Quit Facebook like I describe then reset the iPhone. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
2. If the first thing doesn't help, quit Facebook again, delete Facebook, and reset the iPad. After the iPad restarts use the App Store app to download Facebook again.

Has anyone else had issues with changing how the time and date look on the status menu in Mavericks?

I'm trying to make it so the year displays, but haven't been able to figure out how to change that. I have the Day of the Week, Month, Day and Time only and I haven't been able to figure out how to do that in the Date & Time or the Language & Region Settings.

There is no option in System Preferences. However, it may be possible to set it with a "defaults write" command.
This page shows how to set the time and date format in the Terminal, but doesn't show whether you can add the year.

If you can find a description of Apple's date format code that includes the year, then it may be possible. Or not.
I'm guessing Apple thinks only Time Travellers need to ask what year it is...

Has anyone else experienced issues with the headphones on iPhone 4?

I've had my white iPhone4 about a year, and really like it alot and enjoy using it very much! A couple days ago I used the Apple headphones. Afterwards I noticed the clicking sounds on the keys were silent. So, I first checked my Sounds in Settings to be sure the key sounds were "on" and they were. Then I tried increasing the volume with the button on the left side. The bars increased, but in parenthesis it had (headphones). The headphones were not still engaged with the phone. I checked the ringer and it still worked. So, then I rebooted the phone, but that didn't cure it. After a few hours the phone corrected itself and it is fine now. But, I wonder if the same thing will happen when I use the headphones again. Actually I think it has done this before but at that time I wasn't paying attention. And as this time, it did later correct itself. Any thoughts or suggestions on this? Thanks.

Has anyone else had issues with hidden images in Pages?

I wrote a 380-page book using Pages. The book has beautiful illustrations. My goal was to publish it on iBooks to take advantage of the clean interface. However, when I created the ePub version, got the book transferred to my iPad for testing (inside the iBooks software), all images were replaced with a white box. If I clicked twice on the box, the images did pop-up with an X on the left corner as the closing option.
I did research and found out that the image files had to be of a certain size, and the dimensions also had limitations. So I deleted and replaced every image according to the recommended specifications. My Pages file doubled or tripled in size, and when I transferred to the iPad again, now the images were too small.
I then thought to publish the book on Amazon first, maybe the image problem would be solved. Amazon took files directly from Microsoft Word, so I converted my Pages file to Word and on the Finder's preview would see these weird images. I knew something was wrong, but the Word file looked clean. When I submitted it to Amazon and opened in the Kindle Preview, there were all the images I had deleted!
After much research, I found out that if you switch your Word file to Publishing Layout, the crazy duplicated images become visible. You can delete them from there and then switch back to the Print layout.
Word is still not the perfect solution because it leaves weird borders on the images. That I have not figured out yet how to remove. Argh!
My next step now is to open the Word document in Pages, now that the images are removed, to convert the Pages file into an eBook file, and publish it on iBooks.
One should not have to go through so much trouble just to create an ePub file from Pages, right? Apple, if you are reading, can you please fix this bug soon?

Using FF 6.0.2 on Windows 7 64bit has anyone else noticed slow FF windows updates unless pointer was over a FF window and moving?

I've noticed FF 6.0.2 windows update faster and downloads stay active when the mouse pointer is over a FF window and moving. I've "played" with the download window. When I allow the pointer to just sit, the download usually stops. When I move the pointer, the download resumes. This is verified by the lights on the cable modem showing changes in internet activity.
The same appears true in cases like the FF help search. Type a question and hit return and screen stalls. Move the mouse and the screen refreshes.

I am not very familiar wth Microsoft Security Essentials, but believe that it just makes use of the existing Windows Firewall which is present with the operating system.
To me it is odd that the guest OS reports 192.168.1.254 as the IP address for its gateway and DHCP server yet it cannot access them when pinged. Let's try pinging from host to guest (and vice-versa) and see what happens:
From the host OS at 192.168.1.78, try pinging the guest OS at 192.168.1.75.
Then, from the guest OS at 192.168.1.75, trying ping the host OS at 192.168.1.78.
Is each operating system able to ping each other?
