Has anyone else received bogus-looking emails purporting to be "bills" from iTunes?

Has anyone else received bogus-looking emails that are supposed to be "bills" or bill notices from iTunes?  If so, is there anywhere to forward them for Apple to investigate?  Thanks!

Has it been verified with Apple?  Because I just called Apple care, and the technician I spoke to knew nothing about it.  He said he thought it was a scam and recommended I post it here.
Confused, anyone?  Lol.

  • Has anyone else received an email claiming to be a beta to try out of what is termed "iWorks" through iCould?

Today I received an email claiming to be from Apple.  Below are the contents of the email.  It basically claimed to be offering me a chance to test out a beta version of what it called iWorks on the iCloud.  I just needed to sign in to test it out.  Has anyone else received anything similar?  Has anyone been able to verify its contents?  Or is it a scam?  It allegedly was sent by email address of "[email protected]"  Help?
    Thanks,

    Dear Christina,
We’ll soon be introducing a new and exciting feature to iCloud. It’s called iWork for iCloud and it’s a suite of apps — Pages, Numbers, and Keynote — that make it easy for anyone with an iCloud account to create and edit great-looking documents, spreadsheets, and presentations right on the web.
We’d like to invite you to be one of the first to try it, so we’re giving you early access to the iWork for iCloud beta. All you have to do is sign in to iCloud on a Mac or a PC using the current version of Safari, Chrome, or Internet Explorer. Then just click on Pages, Numbers, or Keynote and you’re off.
We’re really proud of these apps and we’d appreciate your help in making them as great as they can possibly be. So we’d love to hear your feedback as you use them.
Sign in to iCloud.com to get started with iWork for iCloud today.
    Sincerely,
    The iWork Team

  • Has anyone else received a phishing, "Urgent Alert From Apple Support"? It came to my actual iCloud email address.

The message is very clearly bogus, full of errors of every kind, right from the start: "Dear Apple Custumer,"
The fact that it came to my own iCloud address worries me since usually such schemes are to a broad group, like "[email protected]"
I have forwarded the email, with Long Headers, to the fraud-combating websites. Can't find any hint on apple.com/support as to where at Apple itself to direct it.

Re: Has anyone else received a phishing, "Urgent Alert From Apple Support"? It came to my actual iCloud email address.
YES today in the UK, the email text is as below, together with several Links to "Apple" sites and an Apple logo and European support address.
Fairly crude but could fool naive users.
Any one know how to get to the addresses behind the links without clicking them?  Just copying and pasting as plain text doesn't seem to work. Any other way just copies the Hyperlink.

  • Has anyone heard of error 45054 when trying to purchase music from itunes?

Has anyone run into error 45054 when trying to purchase music from itunes?

I had this problem just recently.
I discovered that the problem was located here: ROOT / Users / Shared  -- if you open that and the "adi" folder has a little red minus symbol in its corner, your permissions have somehow been lost. (If you can't see your root directory, open Finder Preferences and, under sidebar, check "Hard disks." That will make your root drive visible.)
If the "adi" folder has the red minus symbol, right-click the folder and select GET INFO.
Sharing & Permissions is probably set to "System: Read & Write | wheel: Read Only | everyone: No Access"
If so, your user account has no permissions, and that means iTunes can't use the folder properly.
To fix this, first unlock the folder using the padlock icon in the bottom-right corner of "get info." You will have to supply your admin password to do this.
Then click the little + sign in the bottom left corner to add a user, and select your user ID from the list of choices. Give yourself Read & Write permissions. (Alternatively, you could change the permissions of "everyone" to Read & Write; others have done that, but I was leery of doing it).
Re-lock the folder when you're done.
    Hopefully that will solve it.

  • Does anyone know how to upload email contacts on my iPhone from iTunes without loosing the phone contacts previously transfered from my older phone??

Does anyone know how to upload email contacts on my iPhone from iTunes without loosing the phone contacts previously transfered from my older phone??

    Good Afternoon irish357,
I know the importance of saving and updating your contacts. What type of phone do you have? If you are using Backup Assistant, you have the ability to sync the contacts between your laptop and phone. You will also be able to see if all your contacts are stored on the online portion of the application versus the phone itself. The contacts should be the same for both online and the phone.
I have attached a link below for your reference.

  • HT201210 Has anyone else received a -39 error since the new itunes update?

Since the latest itune update, I have completely lost all my uploaded audio books.  When I try to restore from my ipod I get error -39.  Has anyone else had this issue?

I have no idea which password you mean. Your phone's password? Your Apple ID password? Your iTunes Store password? The Backup encryption password? It is impossible not to have an Apple ID password or iTunes Store password. They are usually the same, but don't have to be.
If you need the backup encryption password it is cretain that you entered it, but it may have been a long time ago. It is prompted the first time you back up after checking "encrypt backup" in iTunes, and can also be required by your IT Administrator if you have a corporate MS Exchange email account on your phone. It is never again prompted until you need to restore from the encrypted backup.

  • Has anyone else not got an email confirmation of their iPhone order

I preordered the iPhone 5 last night although I haven't received an email confirmation of my order. I talked to an online associate who said my order had gone through. Also, I checked the order status of it and it says that it is being processed and expected to ship next Friday. I'm just waiting for my email receipt but I haven't received one. Anyone else having this problem?

After you purchased your phone it should have said to wait 24 hours since there are many people ordering online

  • Anyone else receiving really old email off of a sudden?

    This is beyond strange.

    Anyone know why this happened?

I thought an MSN account is a Hotmail account.
Have you tried deleting and manually recreating your MSN account and your MSN account only?
MSN and Hotmail are two different accounts under MSN as I understand it. Regardless, having both accounts did work fine up until today.
I took your suggesting and also deleted my MSN account ending up with zero mail accounts. I then reinstalled MSN as my only account and now everything seems to work right. I think what got me in this pickle was that Hotmail was my primary account before getting MSN. Together they worked fine. However, when I deleted Hotmail, MSN did NOT slip into being my primary account.
    Anyway, I'm back in business.
    Thanks

Ok thanks, Had me worried. Anything I can do to stop them?
Depending on who provides your email service, you may be able to set up a filter or server-side rule and dump them to trash or junk folders.  As long as there is some consistency in address domain, header or content you can use as a filter, you may be able to make a general enough rule to catch all or most of them.
Log in to your email account online and see what, if any, options your service provider offers.  One of my own domain emails started getting a ton of spam this year but I now have a pretty comprehensive set of rules for it, plus my hosting service's default junk-mail filter, so that about 99% of them no go directly to SPAM.
If using iCloud, you can create filters if you login to iCloud mail via a web browser.
