Has anyone encountered problems printing after updating with OSX 10.6.8?

I have never had this problem before as I now get a repeated "printer paused" message. Help!

I downloaded and installed the 10.6.8 Combo this morning and immediately thereafter when I tried printing a document on my OfficeJet Pro 8500 from HP the system paused for two minutes and THEN printed the document. I tried printing several other documents with the same result. However, I then shut down and restarted my iMac, and when it had finished rebooting, I tried printing again and the pause in the system for printing was gone. Problem solved!

Has anyone encountered a problem where the VIRSA_CC_ACTUSAGE table is missing some transaction activity?
We have a situation where the monthly ST03 file shows that a user executed the MI31 transaction some time back in August. However our ACTUSAGE table does not show this user performing MI31 for any day in August.
It does have records of other people using MI31 in August. It also has records of this same user performing other transactions in August. It even has records showing other transactions this same user performed in August.
This is now an issue with our external Auditors.
We are on GRC 5.3 SP 13.

VIRSA_CC_ACTUSAGE holds information on the transactions executed by users and it gets the data from STAD. Did you notice the time user has spent in the MI31 transaction code (I know even if the user hasn't spent more time, it should be recorded), but this another step to isolate the issue.Also, check SM21 logs on that specific day, and see if there are any events registered during that time related to STAD. I think it was not able to collect the data.
Also, check VIRSA_CC_ALTCDLOG. This is the Alter log table that stores information of ACTUSAGE. The purge utility will only delete the data from the ACTUSAGE, but it remains in the ALTCDLOG.
Refer to SAP Note 1512020 for additional details on the Alert files.

Has anyone got slow browsers after updating to 10.8.4

In the last couple of days, both Safari and Firefox have shown very "jerky" performance - sometimes pages load very quickly, at other times loading stalls for a while and then restarts. With Safari, I get a spinning ball until the blockage clears itself. Running my ISP's (BTInternet) own speedtest when this stalling occurs, shows a speed near to dial-up whereas it should be near 30+Mb as I am on fibre. As soon as the stall clears, the speed reverts to normal.
CPU useage, memory, disc space etc are all normal, I have tried rebooting the modem and router, and changing from wifi to ethernet (via Powerline adapters) has no effect. This seems to have happened after updating to 10.8.4 but, given that everthing else seems to be working properly, I am reluctant to blame this, and suspect my ISP and/or its modem or router. Has anyone else noticed problems with their browsers since 10.8.4 and, if so, found a cure?

Diagnosing network issues

Has anyone experienced invisible folders after update to iOS 8.1.2 and subsequent restore from backup on an iPhone 5?

It's apparent that a folder that was visible on my iPhone 5 while running iOS 8.1.1, is no longer visible after an update and restore on iOS 8.1.2. The folder had several apps I used regularly. They must be on the phone, because after initiating a 'Spotlight Search' for apps in they now invisible folder, the appear listed in the results.
Has anyone had this occur on their phone after an upgrade to the new iOS version? Is there anyone that can suggest at 'fix' or should i just try to restore again?

So you have checked all of the home screens and the folder does not exist? I've not witnessed hidden folders. Try a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone reboots, see if you can locate it. If not, then you can go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This should remove all apps from folders and reset your home screens.

Has anyone had trouble printing documents scanned with Fujitsu Scansnap ix500?

I have an iMac running OS 10.7.5. I purchased a Scansnap ix500 and at first it installed easily and I could print pdfs scanned with it. During the last 10 days, scans made with it are printing some pdfs in reverse i.e. white font and black background. Any suggestions?

Read the user manual that came w/the printer and/or contact the vendor/customer support website.

Problems printing after updating to 9.4.2 W7 32bit

This morning I updated to Acrobat Pro v9.4.2 and now cannot print to my HP 5550 color LaserJet printer. I can still print to my HP LaserJet 5000. I also have another machine that also has W7 and updated it to V-9.4.2 and now cannot print to either printer. These machines have the most current Windows updates. The only difference that I can see is on the first machine I’m printer through our network print server and on my second machine I'm printer through a TCP port directly to the printer. The driver for both HP printers is the HP Universal Printing PCL 5 (v5.2) driver. Now this is even stranger! I have a new machine with a fresh install of W7 64bit and installed the Acrobat Pro 9.0 on the machine and its prints fine. Installed v9.2, prints fine and then installed v9.4.2 and it still prints fine?? Did a test on my 2nd machine (the one that will not print to either printers) Removed Acrobat pro 9 and re-installed first with V9.0. Prints fine on both printers. Installed 9.2, prints fine and installed 9.4.2 and no cannot print to either printer!! Has anybody come across this problem?

None of your solutions worked for me. We are all running Windows XP 32bit and are trying to print PDFs to a HP Laserjet printers. One of which is HP model 4015.

Problems Printing After Update

Hope this is in the right place.
I recently updated to 10.6.5 and found that I can no longer print on my Epson Offirio LP-S4500. I've tried printing in both Pages and Preview.
I get the message that there is a problem with the EpsonPagePDE plugin
I've tried to locate this plugin and haven't been able to find it (in the hopes that if I deleted it, printing may work). I've also reinstalled the epson drivers to no avail.

No, I haven't. I'm in Japan so Epson customer service will be some pretty technical Japanese. Calling back in the US which is plus 14 Hours also isn't really convenient.

I tried printing with MS Word 2004 and it worked no problem. Still, Pages and Preview will not print.

Has anyone noted problems printing from Safari?

Tonight from two different bank sites I tried to print a statement. Since I was using wifi and my printer is on a different wifi, I selected the Save to PDF option. All I got was the spinning disk and eventually had to Force Safari to quit. This behavior is new since I updated to Mountain Lion earlier in the week.

So it sounds like you're starting with Safari's "Print" command, only there is no printer! I understand you're trying to end up with PDF, and that this worked for you in the past.
Here's an alternate approach to accomplish what you're trying to do: Take a screen shot.
You can either press Shift Command 3 to take a shot of your entire screen, or Shift Command 4 to take a partial screen shot (scroll the crosshairs over the rectangular region).
The resulting shot will end up on your desktop.

Has anyone encountered problems copying photos from iPhone 4 to PC (Windows)?

I have been copying photos from my iPhone to a Windows PC but somewhere along the way, the copying just stops. At first I thought that it was because the phone was Auto-Locking but I set Auto-Locking to Never. I eventually had to manually copy missing photos from the phone to PC. I am using Windows Explorer to see all the files in the phone's internal storage, then copying into a folder onto the PC. Don't know if this is a Windows problem or something on the phone but I have never encountered something like this before.

I go to print from Safari and it won't let me set a border, it always prints right up to and over the left hand edge even when set at less than 100%!!

Has anyone encountered drastic shorter battery life both on iphone 5 and ipad since updating to iOS 6.1.2? I've always been happy with these two products until the update - now the battery life is considerably shorter which is extremely frustrating.
How can this problem be solved? Is there any way to go back to the previous version?

If you update using iTunes the phone is first wiped clean, then the new OS is installed, and finally the backup is restored. After this finishes if you sync your music should be restored. Music is not in the backup, because it is already on your computer and duplicating it would use up a lot of hard disk space.
An OTA update just patches what has changed; it does not disturb content.
