Has anyone encountered Redwood suddenly and for no apparent reason failing to start a previously running job

Hi
We've seen this on a number of occassions -our Redwood system suddenly stops running a job that was previously running with no issue. - has anyone else encountered this issue before? - We have been unable to find any documents detailing parameter that might be controlling this ? -
We are on Redwood 7.30.7 version
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Conor

Hey Conor,
First thing your Build version. It is very old and a lot of bugs have been fixed now.
Current available build is M33.104. Please do upgrade.
Have you searched SAP notes for your version? If it is a bug it would have been mentioned in the note for the next build version.
What do you mean the job suddenly stops? What do you see in the job status?
Is it a recurring job? Have you checked the schedule calendar of the particular job in status area?
Also make sure, the time window on which is the job is running is closed for that time.
Also check the submit frame. Submit frame is closed if the corresponding time window is closed.
Thanks
Nanda

  • My Macbook Pro suddenly, and for no apparent reason, will not connect to the internet?

About a week ago I went to go online and my computer said I had no internet connection.  Around that same time I noticed that my background on my desk top was back to the factory set background it came with, but I did not change it.  That is the only thing I noticed out of sorts.  I asked the other members of my family if their computers had internet and they DO.  So does my iPod.  I knew it was not my internet service, but my computer.
There is a "!" on the internet signal icon (top right).  When I click on it I get a message in the drop down menu that says "Alert:  No Internet Connection...."  When I click on that, I get "Network Diagnostics" pane asking me to select location.  I choose 'automatic', 'continue', then 'Wi-Fi' and 'continue'.  Then it asks me to select Wi-Fi network.  I highlight my network then continue.  At this point, the words on the left are Wi-Fi- with a green dot, Wi-Fi settings with a green dot, Network settings with a yellow dot, ISP with a green dot, and Interenet and Server both with red dots.  Then it comes up  * "Network Change Detected - your network configuration has changed.  Click OK to proceed to the next step".  When I click OK,  it asks me for wireless security info.  I choose WEP password and then put my password in, and check the box next to "remember password in keychain", then continue.  Goes right back to the "Network Change Detected" message at the * above  and all the dots to the left accept the Wi-Fi one are now RED.  I just keep going in circles from there, continually coming back to this message no matter what I do!  I have no idea what happened or what to do?!
Does anyone have any ideas?  Please help!  I am a student and don't have any money to take it to a professional.  I am the only one in my house that has a Mac (everyone else has PC's) so no one can really help me troubleshoot.  I'm not a techy at all, but can follow directions if anyone can give me specific steps to try. Thank you so much in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Has anyone had thier Itunes wiped for no apparent reason since the new ios?

All of my music and books were deleted from my Iphone 5.  Any help?  Will anything else do that if it wasn't the above?  There was also an Itunes upgrade

Any iTunes purchases can be redownloaded.
For Music: Open iTunes > More > Purchased > Music
For Books: Open iBooks > Store > Purchased
Anything that wasn't purchased from iTunes will need to be resynced from your computer.

  • My Firefox has slowed down to a crawl for no apparent reason. It starts out okay but gradually slows until it's inoperable. Nothing changed. Everything I can find to do has been checked. What happened?

Oh, good, space. I was using ver 8.x; it was working fine. I left for a couple of hours. When I returned it had slowed to a crawl and was unusable. I'd been getting nagged to update, so I did that first. Cleared cache, cookies, history. Disabled hardware acceleration. Restarted Win (XP SP3), ran a virus check, etc., all the usual stuff. Don't have a proxy. The behavior looks like very, very bad lags. Often the page refreshes itself over and over as it loads. This happens on EVERY page. Chrome and Safari are working fine. I would love my Firefox back so any help appreciated.

    Hi mpblonestarlady,
Have you looked at our [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-slow-or-takes-too-long-start performance troubleshooting section]? There is a lot of good information in there that should help.
    Hopefully this helps!

My daughters iPod touch asks for her pass code but when she types it in the cursor does not move or input any characters so,she cannot get into the iPod. This has suddenly happened for no apparent reason, what can we do? Can anyone help please?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have a  iPad, 32g, and for no apparent reason, the screen goes black and whatever app I am using is closed on me. It seems to be happening more and more frequently, especially when loading apps, or trying to watch a YouTube video. I try to open safari or youtube again and it will often crash several times before it may or may not decide to load for me. It is extremely annoying and getting to the point where I can not use it

Standard troubleshooting steps in order are as follows:
Power the iPad off and on.
An iPad reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release.
Restore your iPad with iTunes from your iPad's backup.
Restore your iPad with iTunes as a new iPad or not from your iPad's backup.
If no change after the last step, your iPad has a hardware problem.

  • Activesync of mail and calendar fails. Error message says connection with server is successful. Incorrect version accessed. Has anyone encountered this problem and figured out cause or solution?

Wireless connection through Versamail using Exchange Active Sync.
Post relates to: Treo 650 (Sprint)

I am having the exact same issue. I am running Windows Server 2003 SBS Premium with Exchange 2003 SP1 and the subsequent KB update installed.
I am currently thinking that this is related to the fact that I have issued my own SSL certificate for the site. I haven't been able to find a way to install a custom Certificate Authority to be trusted.
http://www.palmone.com/us/products/smartphones/treo650/activesync-faqs.epl says that "Companies that require the use of custom-made or SSL certificates signed by a trusted authority may have trouble using palmOne’s implementation of Exchange ActiveSync." Has anyone who issues their own certs gotten Exchange Activesync to work properly? murph2 - Have you issued your own certificates?

  • I get the following error when I attempt to set up a cluster in Qadminister.  it gives me an error-13. Has anyone encountered this message and know of the fix? Thank you.

This is the error message I receive:
    Error occurred while creating new cluster: CNFSSharedStorage::_subscribe: command [/sbin/mount Users-of-AccessVisions-Mac-Pro.local:/Volumes/Tom Morris 3 TB Drive/MK 43/E1298583-AD8A54CA/shared] failed, error = 13
Has anyone had this error before and know of the fix? Thank you.

    Hi Captain,
Don't panic, it's just the preview cache. Find your catalog on the hard drive - usually in the Pictures folder called Lightroom 5 Catalog.lrcat by default. You'll see a *Previews.lrdata folder there. Rename it and restart LR.
LR will have to rebuild previews, but then everything should be ok. You can let LR rebuild the previews as you need them, or you can select them in Grid view and go to Library menu > Previews > Render Standard Sized previews.
Once you're happy that everything's rebuilt, you can delete the one you previously renamed.
    Cheers!

  • My Ipod touch has quit connecting to the computer for no apparent reason.  Anybody got solutions?

My Ipod touch (1st gen) has stopped connection to the computer suddenly.  This happened once before and I switched computers and it worked fine on the other computer.  now it has done it again with the 2nd computer.  1st computer still will not bring it up in "my computer".
Has anyone else experienced this problem and have a solution for it?

  • Colors suddenly desaturated for no apparent reason

The problem: Out of the blue (sort of), I notice that all colors--but most noticeably reds--in photos opened in Photoshop (and Windows Photo Viewer) are noticeably different. They appeared significantly desaturated, and also color-shifted (reds look much more orange). However...my desktop background looks the same as it always has, and thumbnail images of these exact same pics appear normal. Web browser (Chrome) is also unaffected.
If I take a screenshot of a normal-color thumbnail side-by-side with its associated image and open it in PS, both appear desaturated...but with the photo itself is even MORE desaturated than before.
I can't tab the problem directly to this, but I'm pretty sure it began soon after I updated the drivers for my Nvidia GPU and allowed Windows to install updates (I didn't do both together, but within about a 24 hour period). I've since rolled back the GPU driver and uninstalled the Windows updates (though, unfortunately, I couldn't revert to a system restore point as I'd neglected to create one). None of this has made the slightest difference.
    I'm running Windows 7/64, CS5.5, a Dell U2711 monitor, and a Nvidia GTX460 GPU.
I've looked all over for advice on this, and have found people who describe somewhat similar problems...but little in the way of solutions. Has anybody here experienced this and found a way to fix it? I'm stumped.
    Thank you for your time!

    Well...
The answer is simple! Go to EDIT>COLOR SETTINGS
At the bottom you can see "Advanced Controls" - Uncheck "DESATURE MONITOR COLORS BY"

  • Firefox 29 has, this morning and for no apparent reason, stopped recognising 2 and 3 fingure trackerpad gestures. Why?

Currently running Mavericks in Mac computer with Firefox 29 Beta. Software has not updated for a couple of days and no changes have been made to the configuration in any way for at least a week.
Everything working normally yesterday but, this morning, all two and three finger gestures on my trackerpad had stopped working. This is not happening on any other application on my system so must, therefore, be a firefox issue.
    Would appreciate any suggestions

Yup, they are are working on this and the team is aware of this issue.

Last comment has a suggested work around:
    <blockquote>
I then realised I had recently disabled the "Notification Center" swipe on trackpad options (System Preferences -> Trackpad ->More Gestures -> Tick/Untick Notification Center). I re-enabled this and the two finger swipe to go back works as intended.

  • Tablespace usage has suddenly jumped, for no apparent reason.

I had 1Gb tablespace that with only 150Mb used. Tables within grow slowly based on the data inputs of a dozen or so staff.
Last week usage jumped suddenly to 1Gb filling the tablespace. I extended the datafile to 2Gb, and a day later usage had gone up to 1.8Gb. I've now extended to 4Gb, although usage is still at 1.8Gb.
I didn't know of a way to see how much space individual tables were using, so I exported each individually to try and locate an oversized table. They all were as expected, total size about 150Mb.
Does anyone know what might be happening?
    Thanks,
    Neil

Looking at the tablespace map in OEM, there is a segment called SYS_LOB0000040601C00003$$ which is taking up most of the space.
    What might have created this?

  • My 802.1X Authentication fails repeatedly, and for no apparent reason.

I'm a student at university, and my campus uses WPA2 Enterprise wireless in which we have to enter our central user name and password. I work for the campus tech help desk, and I've tried every possible password and have configured the wireless countless times, and I'm starting to think it's a more serious problem. Thing is, I've connected for at least a year now, and just in the past few weeks it started to refuse. First, here's the unhelpful error message I receive:
"802.1X is unable to authenticate. It is possible that the configuration you have provided is invalid. If you are unsure about what configuration to connect with, check with your network administrator.
    ( Error: 1 on port en1 )"
And just in case, here's the directions for setting up wireless on campus, which worked perfectly for me before: http://www.uc.edu/ucit/access/wpa2instructionsv2.html
I've done all I can think of at this point. I keep editing the wireless in and out of the "preferred networks," I even went into my system library and removed all of it manually and tried again, but no luck. Google searching yields nothing useful. Please, if anyone could give me some advice, I'd appreciate it.

In the off chance that anyone from the UC campus also comes here and looks at this problem.
There is currently an authentication problem with the campus WPA2 network related to Central login. If you have recently updated your password (as it forces you to do about every 3 months) then the new password is not being verified for use with the wireless network. This wouldn't be that big of a problem, but it also kicks out the user's old password... leaving the user unable to connect.

  • My Ipod Touch 4 has been stuck in Headphones Mode for no apparent reason.

    Tried everything:
    Hair Dryer
    Blow/Sucking
    Q-Tip
    Headphones in and out
    RESET
    RESTART
    SOUND OPTIONS
    Anything else?

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
If not under warranty Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

sometimes my ipod just stops what music it's playing and for no apparent reason ,goes back to the homescreen. when i update the ipod, all the play counts from before the "crash" (not really a crash, but that's the term i'll use) are wiped clean, as if i never played them. What's going on?
