Pages 2.0.2 is a (by now) very old version from 2006.
Pages 3.0 released as part of iWork '08.
Pages 4.0 Released as a part of iWork '09.
You would need to buy Pages 4.0 to be able to upgrtade to Pages 4.1

Ok, if that's the way it works that's the way it works. Atleast until you suggest a feature change and it gets reprogrammed. And an option (other than the SHOW DATE/SHOW TIME) is not necessary, just the time showing WHEN the channel info disappears.
I have also seen and heard what looks like RF interference. A small amount of line noise (a couple partial lines only) and crackling that does not happen all the time. Is it possible that some device or appliance in my house or the houses on either side of my home can cause RF interference with the FIOS equipment??
As for the issue with the guide, IMHO that sux! Basically you are telling me I am forced to pay an extra $8/month just to have the channel guide? Even with basic Cable (Time Warner) a guide was available! How about a guide channel like TWC

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
Do the following:
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
If the hard drive does not appear in the DU sidebar list then it has died and will have to be replaced. No need to proceed beyond this point.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install the Combo Updater for the version you prefer from support.apple.com/downloads/.

Has anyone removed the screen protector from Otterbox?

I have the Otterbox on top of Apple's anti-glare screen protector as suggested in this forum. I'm having way too much trouble getting a response out of buttons on the edge of the screen or in the corners. I touch and touch, even press hard but no response. Even getting the phone to snap a picture is near impossible. I have no problems when I remove the Otterbox case, so I know it isn't a screen issue. I love the feel and protection afforded by the Otterbox case and would like to use it. Has anyone removed the screen protector from their case, and if you have, can you comment on the subsequent performance of it? Of note, I use the Otterbox case because I have young kids who use the phone - we don't have a landline. In other words, it's not dust protection I'm looking for, but impact protection. I hate to tear up a $50 case if it won't function anymore.

I removed the screen protector that was part of the Otterbox case and it now works much better. Still have the Power Support anti-glare screen protector on it. Also removed the small cover over the camera lense and now my pictures are more clear. Finally, I removed the covers over the speakers and I can hear the speakerphone again. These mods made the case an A+ for me. A little less protection but much better functionality.

The email seems genuine enough as it asks you to sign in with your Apple ID and password and takes you through to the Apple site but am a bit worried as they ask you in the section Update Your Apple account for bank and credit card details and for the security number on the back of the card. Also in the section where it asks for my mobile number it will only take 10 numbers and when ai try to put in the final (11th number) it won't let me. Sorry am new to all this and a bit confused! Also got a week 38, came two days ago. Everything, including the LCD displaying black, seems perfect.

Has anyone gotten an official fix from EPSON for printing on CD/DVD's?

To re-iterate the problem, I am unable to normally print CD/DVD's with my EPSON R220 printer after installing Leopard.
I get the following message:
"The EPSON printer driver dealing with CD printing is not installed"
After hitting OK, you get brought to (what I call) the EPSON CD Print window which lets you edit Color Correction and Print Position but the "Print" button is grayed out.
I can use the workaround I found in these discussions (thank you by the way) by hitting "Manual Print" from this window and select A4 for paper size and I'm able to print using the CD tray as normal.
But has anyone heard back from EPSON with an official fix?

I spoke to EPSON support via the phone today.
They said that the "Manual Print" option button is available due to the Easy Print software they released early November. This is their workaround and they said they are working on a real solution but it's just not available yet.

Has anyone used SuperDuper to go from C2D to SR?

Has anyone here upgraded to the new santa rosa MBP from the C2D MBP and used SuperDuper to clone their system? I need to do just that and was wondering if the computer will boot and be fully functioning. I think this is the easiest way to transfer everything since I won't have my C2D MBP when I receive my SR MBP.
If this is not possible because of hardware issues, will the clone of my current system mount as an external fw drive on the SR? This way I guess I could manually copy my files over to SR.

I would not advise doing this unless the build number on the SR machine is exactly the same as the one on the C2D. With most all new hardware releases the OS X build is usually unique for that hardware until the next general version of OS X is released. Therefore, cloning from the C2D very likely won't work.
To check the build versions select About This Mac from the Finder's Apple menu. Click on the OS X version number (10.4.9, for example) to reveal the current build version. If the build version of the SR installed OS X is not the same as that of the C2D then do not clone either operating system to either machine.
Instead use Migration Assistant.

Has anyone had problems synching contacts from iPad?

I have a new iPad, wi-fi only, that I use at my office to add contacts, birthdays, reminders, notes, and calendar items. I do not have wi-fi at my office so I come home to wi-fi so that my day's work will synch to my iPhone and iCloud. Everything synchs automatically except contacts, which will only synch if I edit each and every one. Apple support and engineering have worked on a solution but to no avail. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, how die you handle it?

I have not experienced the same, but if you are syncing contacts over the air with your iCloud account on your iPad, confirm all contacts are available with your iCloud online address book - login via webmail access using a browser to confirm this.
After confirming all contacts are available online, try turning contacts off for over the air syncing with your iCloud account on your iPad. A warning message will be provided indicating this will remove all iCloud contacts on your iPad. If an option is provided to save the contacts locally on your iPad, decline that prompt.
Follow this by turning Contacts back on for over the air syncing.

I bought it and I think it´s really good. I test it against a macbook pro 13" and I found it very similar in times, sometimes the Sonnet reader beat the built in reader, usually not but sometimes it did.
It´s a little tricky to put the cards into the reader but I guess that becuse that way it´s harder to push the card out by mistake.
I also love that it can live on my macbook pro becuse it fits perfectly, no need to put it on and off evertime I use it.
