Has anyone ever actually got BlackBerry Link to do anything?
I have great fun wasting my evenings trying to sync music to my device.
So far I haven't succeeded, but one day I hope to be able to sync a few tracks.
I got quite excited when I saw wireless sync was available. But I'm afraid that feature is virtual. It appears only to exist in the mind of some developer inside BlackBerry.
What doesn't work, it doesn't connect to your BlackBerry?
BlackBerry Desktop Software or BlackBerry Link displays the message "Update Could Not Be Completed" ...
or How to perform a clean uninstall of the BlackBerry Desktop Software or BlackBerry Link
and then reinstall again the latest version.

Has anyone EVER successfully used BlackBerry Bold BlueTooth DUN w/ iBook ?
Greetings all,
I have spent days trying to get my iBook G4 running OS 10.4.11 to successfully connect to the internet via BlueTooth through my BB Bold's supposed dial-up networking capabilities. I have followed endless threads in multiple Mac, Black, Crack, and other forums and have watched countless video demonstrations. None of the info I have found has worked, probably because every source of info involved either a different BlackBerry model, a different Mac model, or a different OS version.
I get the same Internet Connect error every time: "A modem error occurred. Please check your settings and try again."
I have tried multiple dial-up isp's and multiple access numbers. I do not claim to be an expert, but I have worked as a network administrator, have set up multiple network devices, and have a pretty good understanding of internet and general network technologies and this is just driving me insane.
If anyone actually knows how to accomplish this task, I would be eternally grateful for step-by-step instructions or even just some insight into how I might determine what type of "modem error" occurred!
Please do not tell me to purchase an iPhone or a tethering plan. If those were viable options at the moment, I would not be wasting our time here. Thanks!Ditto on both points. Meanwhile I use the solution of a third party backup.

Has anyone ever lost a ringtone that they purchased and downloaded a ringtone and then it just completely disappeared? When I tried to download it again I got the message "You've already purchased this item; are you sure you want to buy it again?"
You are aware that there the app may have downloaded and been placed on the second screen. Not the main one. Can you swipe to the right to see if it is there?

Has anyone ever got the message error occurred while converting the file - you do not have the privilege to make changes - when importing cds?

Has anyone ever seen this error
We just launched a vaccation tracking app with a coldfusion
front end and an access 97 backend (dont ask). The app was tested
for over a month and passed all tests. However we never tested for
volume, or amount of users hitting the app. On the backend, we have
an access table linked to a text file. Again, this tested out
perfectly over the past month. This morning after release to the
entire company of about 2,000 people, users began reporting this
error:
The text file specification 'EmployeeList Link
Specification6' does not exist. You cannot import, export, or link
using the specification.
Some users logged in to the app successfully and some
recieved this error. For those that recieved the error, we had them
back out and re-login and then the app worked just fine.

The right way would be to use a "real" database server.
But you can test if db-caching can improve the issue.
With each <cfquery> you can set a cachedwithin
parameter. Using that should allow you to query the Access db once,
and then have CF keep the query results in memory (for the DB as
well as the text-file).
You could query the complete database with no filtering this
way, and then filter the data using QueryofQuery to output only
records for specific users/groups/regions.
You also need to make sure the settings in CF admin are
configured right for this.
The more often the database content is updated, the slower
this solution will get though.

ps. for the cachedwithin parameter in the query set a
timeframe of forever, so the recordset never gets updated, and then
actually execute a new query to update the recordset at the end of
your "save a vacation" or "updated a vacation" functions. This way
the app would only read the db when a real change to the records
occurred.
But like I said with 2000 users, even that may not be enough
to get the app performing. -

Ive been having major problems with my ipod

I tried reseting on the computer. that worked until I tried to reload my songs on the ipod.
So I got rid of all ipod updaters on my computer and reinstalled the newest one.

sorry if this is the wrong forumWell Tyler....I've seen something like your problem before, but i'm afraid i can't be of much help. I saw the problem because it happened to me before, and my iPod needed to be sent into Apple for repair, i believe they need to reconnect the hard drive on it....well hopefully someone here can help you out, because mine was a matter of being sent in.

Has anyone ever SUCCESSFULLY gotten iTunes to back up library to disc?
I've tried numerous times over different versions of iTunes, and I can NEVER get iTunes to back up my purchased library to disc.
It offers to do it to DVD, to regular CD--- and nothing works. It spits the tray out, says to put in a blank CD and I do-- and it "checks Media" and never accomplishes anything. I'm starting to doubt the function even works and was put in there to make it look good.
Has anyone ever successfully gotten the "Back Up Library to Disc" function to work?
im running the latest version of iTunes.GOOD POINT. You cannot backup to an external hd. Who wants to use dvds OR cds for backup anyway? The whole reason for buying an ipod was to avoid these two optical disc nightmares and get with a hard disk management solution. itunes doesn't recognize external hard drives for backup. Ridiculous. Try using an ext hd as the itunes location for your music if you really want to see problems develop. Managing music instead of playing music has become my past time since I got into the ipod/ itunes mess. All I do is try to clean up it's messes. The software developers need to be accountable. Class action? No support, except forum, unless you want to pay.

Has anyone ever experienced the situation where plugging in the USB connector to the charging source (high-power USB port or Apple charger) halfway, then pressing it in firmly, results in the iPad not charging?
It's highly likely that there is a poor connection in the phone - either a pin in the dock connector or internal wiring harness. No software fixes or "tricks" would work, but I would recommend restoring in iTunes, first using a backup and if needed restore as a new phone.
Otherwise, opening and repairing the phone takes some tech knowledge that can't be relayed here. Apple doesn't repair phones other than replacing batteries (not inconceivable that you have a bad battery), but offers "out-of-warranty" replacement (refurb) phones for $149 (US). 3rd party iPhone repair centers may be able to fix it for less. Google to find them,

FYI, there's no such thing as "soft" or "hard" resets in iPhone terminology. There is only one phone reset. You'll see those terms thrown around by technically ignorant posters, but they mean different things to different people and are actually archaic, 1980s PC terms that have nothing to do with iPhones.

Has anyone ever had a problem with their iphone 4 not syncing and/or writing a backup file? Itunes locks up when i attempt a sync as well as when I transfer my purchases from my phone to Itunes. I'm running Itunes 10.4.1 on iOS 4.3.5. All of this is running on an 8 year old hp pavillian laptop running XP Pro that is fully updated. Could my phone have a bug or a hardware problem. Are there any known problems with iOS 4.3.5? Pretty frustrating problem so I'm hoping that someone has heard of this and can offer some suggestions on a solution. Thanks a bunch.
Did you used to have service and now suddenly you don't?
This happened to me a few years back, and several other iPhone users in my neighborhood, and after a while on the phone with AT&T they figured out that a technician had recently adjusted the receiver/sender on the tower and it was slightly off. They sent them back up and I actually had a better signal after than I did before it went out.
I would call AT&T and explain the issue you are having and see if they can fix it.
If you never had service there then like wjosten said it's probably just a bad zone.

has anyone ever had this problem and know how to fix it ?? I upload songs on to my ipod and they appear on my ipod in itunes but after i disconnect (the correct way) the songs do not appear on my ipod. If i plug the ipod back into my computer it still shows them as being on my ipod through itunes but not when i disconnect please please please help!! thankyou! (Also the songs i'm trying to upload are cd's that i have brought)
See Grouping tracks into albums, in particular the section Missing Artist or Album not with others by same artist.

I get the following error message after installing the latest version of itunes via auto update: "the itunes Library file cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred (-54). Has anyone ever seen this message and anyone have a suggestion what to do?

Has anyone ever ran Logic using VMWare Workstation on a Windows PC?
Has anyone ever emulated Mac OS X and used Logic on their x86 Microsoft Windows systems? I was thinking about doing this to use some synths and stuff with some Windows designed software. I'm not sure if it is possible to use both operating systems at the same time with VMWare Workstation operating system emulator. Help me out guys. Has anyone ever done it? Can it be done?
VMWare Workstation will not run the client version of Mac OS X in emulation, and likely won't run Mac OS X Server either.
