Has anyone ever had an email from Apple asking them to update their details for their Apple account on IPad? Kinda worried as it asks for my bank details and bank account number and security code on the back of the card. Thanks :)
Has anyone ever had an email from Apple on IPad asking them to update their account details? The email seems genuine enough as it asks you to sign in with your Apple ID and password and takes you through to the Apple site but am a bit worried as they ask you in the section Update Your Apple account for bank and credit card details and for the security number on the back of the card. Also in the section where it asks for my mobile number it will only take 10 numbers and when ai try to put in the final (11th number) it won't let me. Sorry am new to all this and a bit confused! Any help is gratefully appreciated.....Thanks.

I upload songs on to my ipod and they appear on my ipod in itunes but after i disconnect (the correct way) the songs do not appear on my ipod. If i plug the ipod back into my computer it still shows them as being on my ipod through itunes but not when i disconnect please please please help!! thankyou! (Also the songs i'm trying to upload are cd's that i have brought)
See Grouping tracks into albums, in particular the section Missing Artist or Album not with others by same artist.

Unbelievable.You cannot deauthorize computers you do not have access to EXCEPT for when you reach your max authorizations of 5 and then only once per year.
If you need the authorizations back (you have 5 computers?) simply deauthorize all (click here -> About authorizations and deauthorizations)

Has anyone ever had a problem with their iphone 4 not syncing and/or writing a backup file? Itunes locks up when i attempt a sync as well as when I transfer my purchases from my phone to Itunes. I'm running Itunes 10.4.1 on iOS 4.3.5. All of this is running on an 8 year old hp pavillian laptop running XP Pro that is fully updated. Could my phone have a bug or a hardware problem. Are there any known problems with iOS 4.3.5? Pretty frustrating problem so I'm hoping that someone has heard of this and can offer some suggestions on a solution. Thanks a bunch.
Did you used to have service and now suddenly you don't?
This happened to me a few years back, and several other iPhone users in my neighborhood, and after a while on the phone with AT&T they figured out that a technician had recently adjusted the receiver/sender on the tower and it was slightly off. They sent them back up and I actually had a better signal after than I did before it went out.
I would call AT&T and explain the issue you are having and see if they can fix it.
If you never had service there then like wjosten said it's probably just a bad zone.

I have a Macbook Pro, and I cannot get onto my my job's wi-fi network. Has anyone ever had a problem getting on a wi-fi network at your place of employment? I have a username and password for the network, but when I try to go through the Connection Assistant and put in my password, it says its the wrong password.

In addition to doing this today my mouse went all crazy and it was like I had no control over it. Once I restarted my computer it was fine. I took it into the genius bar a few weeks ago, but they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Thanks for the suggestion... but I think my first question would be why these parameters would need re-setting? This is a new machine... It has never been shut down hard. It is used at most 10 hours per week... mostly using Office 2004 for MAC. I need to figure this out as I will soon need it as a Cs2/CS3 - Aperture workhorse.
I too agree that it is best not to use a sledge when a scalpel is needed... but as a novice to the MAC world I may have been misled by Apple support. I seems to have fixed the symptoms ( some) but appears NOT to have addressed the cause... which is what I am after.
Would TechTool Pro detect a bad HD or RAM?

I doubt this is a GPU issue i've restarted my Mac, but the shape of the flickering area is in a cone shape comming from the bottom edge from the right side in about 2 inches. I'm thinking this is a failing display?
Apple will cover it if it was an accident or defect. Take it to a nearby Genius bar. I'm guessing its a graphics card or display issue. But the symptoms of a damaged GPU for me were different. I had issues with my last 13" MacBook Pro non-retina mid 2012. If I set it down or moved my machine, my screen would flicker and the pixels would be completely off and the whole system would freeze, even if I wasn't using it. If it fronze when I didn't use it, it would get REALLY hot. Like I said, if it's an accident and less than a year old, Apple will cover repairs. If it's older than a year and it was accidental, AppleCare won't cover it. If it was a defect, it will be covered as long as the AppleCare hasn't expired. If you buy a MacBook through BestBuy, you could buy BestBuy Care which covers accidental and defects. My friend fried his last machine with water and apple was going to charge him the price of a new machine and BestBuy charged about $900 and then he paid extra to upgrade to a new retina display.

I just clicked on a website for black friday ads and when I did this virus scan thing came up on the screen and said that I had like 27 viruses on my computer??? I'm really concerned!! I was saying that I needed to download a virus protection to get rid of them, but I didn't. This is the first time I've had this kind of problem.
I went to "force quit" to close the web page and then restarted safari and now its acting fine....
What should I do? Please Help!!Not really maulware but a scam...comes up periodically on each of my computers, four currently, with the same message. Purpose is to get you to think you really do have a virus and give them a credit card number and download software that will clean up your computer. Of course it clears it of viruses...never was one, or if there was the software couldn't do anything anyway.
You have to be very careful of popups like this, and especially of emails that come saying to click on their link for important information. Bogus email from banks and even the IRS have been going around. Neither banks nor IRS contacts people in this manner.
If you are concerned about virus protection, there is a very good Mac-friendly program called ClamXAV that you can Google, it is a free download and thought of rather highly by some of the users on here. -
I just received an email from the account that I have my iTunes account with to that same account claiming to be from Apple Support. I have attached a screencap to show email.
Yes, well it is still a spam/phising e-mail, so just delete it and check your iTunes e-mail account as it could have been hacked. Go in and change the passwords associated with the account.
Any correspondence from iTunes or Apple directly should have your name on it and not Dear Apple Customer or iTunes Customer. It's the same with the PayPal e-mails - they put Dear or Dear Customer without the name, which PayPal never do.
Delete it and then log into the e-mail account and change all the passwords to ensure that the account has not been hacked.
