Has anyone else had problems since the latest itunes/ipod update?

since i got my ipod and itunes updated, ive had nothing but problems with my ipod. sometimes it freezes, and when i connect it to the computer its all of a sudden corrupted. Sometimes this happens when i connect it to my computer to charge, and gets stuck on the do not disconnect screen. Sometimes ill be listening to music or watching something on my ipod and itll turn off randomly for no reason, then the apple symbol will come on as if i turned the ipod on again. Right now my ipod is frozen on the do not disconnect screen, and i have no choice but to restore it, however it wont even show up on itunes when its frozen sometimes, like right now. Has anyone else had problems since the latest ipod update?

I've tried everything others have suggested without any luck.
Now I'm stuck with a 300 bucks mp3 jalopy.
My big question here is :
why aren't we hearing from apple? why aren't they saying something like "yeah we messed things up but be patient. we are trying our best to fix it..." ?
I was thinking to buy the macbook pro but now I'm afraid of the day things will get messy with that too.

Wondering if restoring iphone back to factory state might decrease safari crashes- or has anyone tried this and crashes continue anyways?
Safari crashes non stop after 2.1 update.

Well I restored iphone last night and only installed a few 3rd party apps- safari hasn't crashed since the restore, and I spent a long time surfing (3g) to test it out. I'm wondering if apple has made a mistake with allowing us to freely download and install all those 3rd party apps? Maybe they are having a bad effect on the basic set up?
Also I'm thinking apple should just tell us to restore and then update to new versions rather than just update the existing iphone software. I first tried updating the existing 2.0.2 that was on the phone, and that gave me safari crash joy (duplicated on a friend's iphone 3g). So I was basically forced to restore regardless, which I should have done in the first place.
So to answer the question of the post yes it looks as if restoring the phone might've minimized those safari crashes. But let's see how it looks in about a week....
3G speeds are still definitely slower than 2.0.2.

Has anyone experienced regular adjustments to the sound and brightness done by the laptop itself?

I have a 2010 MacBook Pro i7, 15" notebook. Without adjustments by myself, I find the sound and brightness seem to regress to the lower levels. Has anyone experienced this and what have you done to fix it?

Well, well, well... Nothing has changed. Somehow or another Adobe has managed to truly take control of Windows 7.
I updated Bridge or more correctly... The Cloud did and every files extension in Bridge had 'none' as the application. Lovely stuff. Now All I want to know is why did Adobe take control of Windows file manager and cause this much grief?
I almost never use the clunky and often impossible to manage Bridge. Simple freeware... Irfanview is way more elegant than Bridge and 10 times more useful IMO.
Well thanks for the heads up Curt. I never considered the full implication of giving Adobe the freedom to add and remove whatever they wanted to... Forget the don't fix what isnt broken thing... Just pour everything we've got in the cloud onto all the members PCs, eh? Hard drives are cheap and hey, what are forums for when things go wrong if it isn't to keep Adobe informed of bugs they can silently fix and pour 'em back into the cloud as fixes.

Anyone experiencing multiple crashes since installing yosemite? I use logic 9 software most of the time for recording.

Hi, Im experiencing multiple crashes on my macbook pro. I have recently (past 2 weeks) installed yosemite. Could this have something to do with it?
I use logic pro 9 all day every day but am finding it very difficult to record with a constantly unstable mac! It just cuts out and restarts itself.
Any ideas?

Mike, I would say Yosemite has -everything- to do with it. Logic 9 has several known problems with Yosemite.
You should not upgrade the OS without first checking boards like this one, the only solution for Logic 9 users is to roll back the operating system to whatever you were using that was stable. (Logic-X isn't so great in Yosemite either).
Because stability is important to me I'm using Snow Leopard and Logic 9,1,5, and my upgrade to Logic 9.1,5 was only a few month ago.

My Mac has lost it's mind since the 10.5.2 update! System VERY unstable!

Ok, ever since I installed the 10.5.2 update my Mac mini has been behaving badly! This sucka is askin' for a time out (if you get what I mean). We're about to see just how airborne a Mac mini can get in a few!
Ok, since I updated to 10.5.2 I've been getting these crashes here is a report from one of the crashes which gives some message like, "You will need to restart your Mac." I just know I had never seen this message until I had installed the latest OSX update.
Is there a way that I can uninstall this update? Now it's gotten to be so unstable that I'm no longer getting any error message, it just locks up after 20 or so minutes of use sometimes.
Oh something else in that started happening. I can't leave it running idle for more than 20 to 30 minutes or it will lock up for certain. When it locks up the only thing I can do it to power off and back on again.
Is there a way to remove the updates that I had installed? I'm using Time Machine, but is there a way to revert back to a time just prior to installing the 10.5.2 update? I'm afraid if I can't figure this out, I'm going to have to delete and reinstall Leopard and see if that resolves my problems. Oh, is there a diagnostic test that I should run to make sure I'm not having a hardware problem. This is my first Mac ever so I'm not sure exactly how to troubleshoot it.

Um, no actually I don't have THAT many devices attached. I have the Apple keyboard, a Logitech mouse, a FireWire external hard drive which is my boot drive and a USB key drive may have been plugged in at the time (which isn't now and nothing has improved). I don't even have a printer attached right now.
Leopard has gotten so unreliable that I'm seriously thinking of wiping out everything and reinstalling. I can't keep the **** thing up and running at this point. It keeps locking up on me and NOT reporting any error messages. I couldn't even run the Disk Utility last time I booted it up. Even that locked up on me. I don't understand what's happened! It used to be rock solid, running WAY better than my Dell Windows Vista box. Now it won't run for ****!
So why can't I just remove the last update and see how things run then? Can't updates be removed? Can Time Machine restore the system files to an earlier point in time. What a frickin' waist if it can't. I come from the Windows world where I could restore from a restore point and it would set things back to where they were last working. Does that not exist on the mac? I'll try to remove the Logitech mouse software and see what difference that makes, but it's been running great for 6 months with it. Like I've said before, things didn't go south until after that update was installed.
So if anyone else out there has some ideas, PLEASE let me know!

If you really find an answer to your question, you should search through these boards. A LOT of people have problems with their minis and Nanos after they download updates. Some people don't even bother with the updates.
My suggestion? Delete the update you just downloaded and download the version before that one. See if your iPod responds to your computer.

Has anyone experienced a problem with the adjustment brush since last update (for Mac) last week?

Following an update to Lightroom on my Mac Pro work station last Friday: when I apply my adjustment brush to an area in an image, a faint box encompassing a much larger area than the size of my brush appears (extends well beyond the area I've identified with my brush and is clearly a large square shape). When I release my mouse, the adjustment I've made affects my entire image. I had no issues with adjustment brush prior to the update. I've been on the phone with Adobe support (no help). Have uninstalled/reinstalled Lightroom several times (no help). Adobe directed me to Apple (recommend use of Time Machine to date before Lightroom update came through). To ensure it's an isolated bug, I checked my MacBook Pro. Worked fine without update; I let update come through and find the adjustment brush "bug" is intermittent. When it occurs, however, I always see the larger "box" area, and the adjustment brush ultimately affects my entire image.
Anyone else experiencing this? Adobe support insists it's a Mac issue. Thanks!

Same problem (rectangular areas) + others under Windows. The adjustment brush and the clone / heal tool have been totally broken in LR 3.2. You're not alone. See this thread. I have filed a bug report. No answer until now.

Has anyone experienced an image in the workspace suddenly going dim?

Using CS 4 with Windows 7. Sometimes when working with an image it will suddenly go dim. The rest of the screen stays bright (tools, panels, tool bar etc.) This seems to happen when I switch to something else such as My Pictures and upon returning to Photoshop, the image has gone dim.

What video card is it?
I ask because I've always felt ATI has done a pretty good job of supporting their older hardware with new drivers. I'm presently using a 2+ year old ATI Radeon HD 4670 and it's still getting new driver updates (e.g., Catalyst 10.9 just recently).
For what it's worth, it's exactly the sentiment you expressed (lack of support of a not very old card, which was very expensive) that caused me to swear off the nVidia brand.
The good news is that a quite happenin' video card of either brand can be bought for little over a hundred bucks nowadays.

I have tried several time to install the new software for my Apple TV, but each time I am getting a message saying the intall was unsuccessful. I have 2 and it installed on the older Apple TV (non-HD version) but the newer set will not install the update.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.
If when you choose restore you get a message that the device cannot be found, download the file below

Then hold down the option key while choosing restore and select the downloaded file when prompted.
If you have the Apple TV 3, use the following file.

When updating an activity progress in a small schedule i notice that one of my activities which had already started on march 19th and was about 10% complete from a prior update jumped to March 23rd as start date. What is going on???

Could the activity be a Level of Effort or a WBS Summary? If so, it will follow any change to the earliest starting activity, if you made a change to this activity.
