Has anyone exported time history data from Labview to B&K Pulse ?

Hello
I use a Bruel & Kjaer Pulse 9 system for the NVH analysis of data acquired from a DAT tape recorder. I know about the CompactRIO and I can see its potential as an ultra-portable digital data logger, for field testing. It could for example record signals from microphones or accelerometers into a binary file. But I would then need to "export" this time history data into a file format compatible with B&K Pulse platform.
Has anybody been thinking about doing exactly that ?
Thanks
Philippe

Hello Philippe,
Do you know what the compatible format is for your B & K Pulse platform? LabVIEW is able to format data in many ways, if the format you require is some kind ASCII base then LabVIEW will most likely be able to generate this format. It may require more work to format data if this data format is more complex.
Do you have any more information about the B & K Pulse system? This may be helpful in getting an answer for this question.

  • Writing data from labview to excel

Hi, currently I'm trying to get an array of data from labview into a specific excel file everytime.
The attachment i have is a program creating a new worksheet everytime it runs. I couldn't figure out how to make it work. Anyone can help me?

So what is the specific problem? What is it doing that is incorrect? If the problem is that it is creating a new file every time its because the first subVI is opening a spreadsheet template file. Or at least I think it is since all of the subvis are missing...

Has anyone had deleted photo's from months ago reappear? I have a 3gs running iOS 4.3.2

    Justin,
Ok, if that's the way it works that's the way it works. Atleast until you suggest a feature change and it gets reprogrammed. And an option (other than the SHOW DATE/SHOW TIME) is not necessary, just the time showing WHEN the channel info disappears.
I have also seen and heard what looks like RF interference. A small amount of line noise (a couple partial lines only) and crackling that does not happen all the time. Is it possible that some device or appliance in my house or the houses on either side of my home can cause RF interference with the FIOS equipment??
As for the issue with the guide, IMHO that sux! Basically you are telling me I am forced to pay an extra $8/month just to have the channel guide? Even with basic Cable (Time Warner) a guide was available! How about a guide channel like TWC

    1) That is the way it works. There is no option to change this, other than the option to display either the channel number or the time. Actually the time is displayed once the channel is changed when the time in the STB reaches the next minute, so the delay can be very short or up to one minute.
    2) Most of the time I do not see the flash or hear the pop. But occasionally I do, on any channel change, SD or HD. I have never been able to figure out what causes it to start doing that, or what causes it to stop. It starts, does it for a while, and then I realize it is no longer doing it.
    3) No Guide on the DCT-700. Plus no VOD, widgets, or HD. If you want the Guide, you have to get one of the 6xxx or 7xxx STBs.

  • Exporting time and date metadata onscreen in FCP 7

    Hi there
Does anyone happen to know if i can display the time and date stamp onscreen when exporting to DVD in Final Cut Pro 7? I know that you can now capture the time/date metadata through log and transfer; i need to be able to show that onscreen the same way that you might use timecode when exporting to DVD.
Additionally does anyone know of a plugin that might give me the same control over this as we already get over timecode?
And finally, is it possible to print out a log inc: clip name, time and date from FCP7?
    Thanks
    Chris

ProDateDV from Automatic Duck was a unfortunately mistimed one trick pony that did this ... but only for DV format footage unfortunately, and as such it totally missed the DV bus, as it was only released just about a year ago. It seems to have been pulled from their products page already. Shame. The problem is that every different acquisition format records and stores this data differently, and usually proprietarily, so the details of how and where to find it within the auxiliary data stream is not at all straightforward, nor the means to write a plugin that would work regardless of source media type.

  • How do I convert a 1-D array of cluster of 5 elements into a 2-D array of numbers? (history data from a chart)

    Hello,
in my vi I have a chart with 5 Plots displaying measurement data.
The user should be able to save all the history data from the chart at anytime. (e.g. the user watches the chart and some event happens, then he presses a "save"-button)
I know, that I can read out the history data with a property node. That is not the problem. The problem is, how do I handle the data? The type of the history data is a 1-D array of cluster of 5 elements.
I have to convert that data somehow into a 2 D-array of numbers or strings, so that I can easily save it in a text-file.
How do I convert a 1-D array of cluster of 5 elements into a 2-D array of numbers?
    I use LabVIEW 7.1

    Gerd,
thank you for the quick response and the easy solution.
Look what I did in the meantime. I solved the problem too, but muuuch more complicate :-)
And I have converted the numbers to strings, so that I can easily write them into a spreasheet file.

  • Has anyone enabled time machine using a linksys router and external hard drive? And if so how?

Has anyone enabled time machine using a link sys router and external hard drive? And if so how?  I have a Linksys E4200 wireless router with a usb port on it.  I also have a Western Digital Elements 1TB external hard drive.  I would like to be able to use this hard drive with time machine.  Has anyone done so and if so how can I do so?

You might get some responses, but we don't see many Linksys users on an Apple forum so it may be awhile before you see an answer.
It might be useful to point out that Apple does not even support Time Machine backups to the USB port on their own AirPort Extreme wireless router, so we may be heading down a very slippery slope here.
I've tried Time Machine backups on an AirPort Extreme router a number of times in the past. It's just not reliable. Works for awhile, then has corruption problems. Or has corruption issues immediately. I once went a month or so and thought I had it nailed, then got smacked with a corrupted set of backups again.
But, I guess you never know. It might work on the Linksys. If you decide to try this, I would suggest that you have another backup plan in place for your important data.
Hope that some Linksys users will respond so we can all learn.

  • Time and date from an atomic clock

    Hi,

You cannot maintain atomic clock accuracy using software on a PC. Think
about it. You're running on a PC whose clock may gain milliseconds per
day if you're lucky, probably seconds / day.
Out of the box, Windows can do things (like downloading Windows updates)
which can delay operations for seconds.
It can take several milliseconds to update an indicator that shows the
time, if that is what you plan to do.
    I can see some approaches:
    * If you can accept moderate accuracy of about 1-10 ms run software such
    as Dimension 4 from www.thinkman.com.
That can be set up to run ever
    y 15 minutes, automatically synchronizing
your PC to Internet time servers.
You don't need to control it from LabVIEW; if you had to, you could run
the executable C:\Program Files\D4\D4.exe using System Exec.
    * You haven't described what you are doing. If you want more accurate
time keeping, then you might get a timekeeping board to plug into your
PC and control any other hardware you may be using.
Search the Web for "IRIG board".
    Good luck, Mark

  • I would like to build I data base in teststand which collect data from labview , if you have example (sequence) that give me some way to build sequence

I would like to build a data base in teststand which collect data from labview program , if you have example (sequence) that give me some way to build sequence that have step of action for labview and step
    data base

There is an example in the \TestStand\Examples\Database directory. Basically there are two ways to connect to your database.
    1. You can use the TestStand database step types. There are steps for opening/closing a database connection, opening/closing an SQL statement, and a step for performing a data operation.
    2. The other way is to use the TestStand database logging capability to write your results to the database. This is the way I would recommend. With database logging, you use the step results container to record all your results as the sequence runs. (This is done automatically by TestStand). When the sequence is complete, the process model calls a "Log to Database" sequence that will write the results to the database. You must define your datab
ase schema using Configure->Database Options. There are some default (or example) schema definitions already defined. Refer to chapter 18 of your TestStand manual.
Another way to log the data as the sequence is running is shown in the \TestStand\Examples\OnTheFlyReports. This has the advantage of recording data as it is obtained, but it is not as efficient in terms of using a database connection. I don't recommend using this method.
Please post again if you have any more questions. If you are using stored procedures with your database, I can probably give you some tips.

  • How can I remove all Time Machine data from an external HD, while retaining the other folders/files on the disk?

I recently replaced my old Macbook Pro with a new Macbook Pro Retina.
The original MBP had Time Machine set up on an external HD, and I also had some manually saved/backed up files (stuff that didn't need incremental backups; very old stuff) on the disk as well, in folders.  This worked fine and well for the life of the original MBP.
When I set up the MBPr, I did not elect to transfer everything over from a Time Machine disk, as I wanted a Fresh Install; I chose to just re-download/install the apps  I needed from the App Store.  Much cleaner, more stable.  I updated to Yosemite immediately so, it gave me more of a  clean install.
The problem is, Time Machine now won't read any Time Machine backups from that disk.  Migration assistant can pull data from it, but it's a bit wonky.  It was easier to just manually copy over what I needed.
Now, I just want to "reset", and completely remove the old Time Machine data from the external hard drive, since it is completely useless to me now (I can't access it on this computer, and it's taking up space).  I want to remove the Time Machine data, as if it were never there, but keep my other folders/files that are on the disk (so, a format is not feasible).
I will then set the disk up as a new, fresh Time Machine disk for the new MBPr.
What is the proper method for removing Time Machine data from an external disk (which doesn't seem to be associated with this machine anyway)?  I know a simple rm -rf will cause problems.
    Thanks for any help provided.

  • Is there any way to export IT Resource data from OIM using the export tool?

    Hello,
we are trying to migrate an OIM development environment to a preproduction environment and we need to migrate more than 400 IT Resources. We have exported some IT Resources and when we imported them in the preproduction environment their data was not migrated. Is there any way to export IT Resource data from OIM using the export tool? Or is there any other way to do this without doing it by hand?
    Thank you for your help
    Kind Regards

Well , OIM doesnot provide any such facility to export ITResource data along with ITResource .
Directly updating the DB could be an option ..
    Thanks

  • Best way to export and import data from an iPhone app?

How do people here prefer to export and import data from an iPhone app?
For example, suppose your app creates or modifies a plist. It might be nice to provide that plist to the user for separate backup and later allow them to re-import it.
How do people do that? Email the plist to an address? If so, how would one later get it back in?
Is there a common way people do this kind of thing?
    Thanks,
    doug

Or maybe the best approach for this is some sort of file synchronization feature? Is there a way of having files from the app's filesystem automatically get stored on the computer's filesystem when synchronizing and vice-versa?

  • What is the easiest way to export all tables data from Oracle to MS SQL Server?

    Hello MS,
I would like to export all tables from Oracle 11.2 to MS SQL Server 2012 R1.
Using the tool "Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant v6.0 for Oracle" did not work for me because there are too many warnings and errors regarding the schema creation (MS cannot know it because they are not the schema designer). My idea is
to leave/skip the schema creation to the application designer/supplier and instead concentrate on the Oracle data export and MS SQL data import.
What is the easiest way to export all tables data from Oracle to MS SQL Server quickly?
    Is it:
    - the „MS SQL Import and Export Data“ Tool
    - the “MS SQL Integration Services” Tool
    - not Oracle dump *.dmp format because it is a propritery binary format
    - flat file *.csv (delimited format)
    Thanks!

    Hi lingodingo,
If you want to directly export all tables from Oracle database to SQL Server, I suggest you use SQL Server Import and Export Wizard. Because you just need to follow the wizard with GUI, this is the easiest way.
If you want to make some modification for the tables‘ data before loading to SQL Server, I suggest you use SQL Server Integration Services package. For more details, please refer to the following similar thread:

  • BI process has gotten stuck and the data from CRM hasn't gotten updated

hai friends am working for BI in CRM....
BI process has gotten stuck and the data from CRM hasn't gotten updated in the BI cubes.
can any one help me to solve this issue???
WHAT MAY BE THE PROBLEM AND WHAT WILL BE THE SOLUTION???
IS THERE I NEED TO RESTART THE PROCESS CHAINS OR WHAT?

Is it already scheduled for a daily run or manually you are running the process chain?
If its manually running then you can select your process chain, and then right click on the start process --> Maintain variant --> Scheduling --> in the scheduler screen , you can click on the Immediate, save the changes and save in the next screen, once it comes back in the main screen, you have a scheduling Icon (Clock idoc). Click on it. Once done then it will be oK.
Or firs the process only failed, then you can right click on the failed process and then choose "Repeat" option to repeat the  process.
Also you can check the source system connection is fine or not? RSa1 --> Source system --> CHECK

  • Has anyone resolved the whirring sound from the Macbook late 2008 Optical Drive Self-diagnostic yet?

Has anyone resolved the whirring sound from the Macbook late 2008 Optical Drive Self-diagnostic yet?

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
    Do the following:
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
If the hard drive does not appear in the DU sidebar list then it has died and will have to be replaced. No need to proceed beyond this point.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install the Combo Updater for the version you prefer from support.apple.com/downloads/.
