Has anyone found a way to convert the Canon T4i raw files using Adobe DNG?
I just purchased the Canon T4i and us PE9. PE9 doesn't support the new raw format. I tried using Adobe DNG converter as Adobe recommended. That didn't worl either. Has anyone managed to convert these raw files so that PE9 will recognize them?

I noticed that the T4i seems to be omitted from the list shown on the download page and on the readme file. The full list of camera raw files supported does list the T4i as being supported by 7.1

I got hold of a sample raw file, which I processed by the DNG converter as was then able to open it in PSE 9. The file properties said that it was from a T4i. It could be that I got hold of an incorrect sample.

You can't directly from a Galaxy phone. But you can certainly upload the pictures from your Galaxy phone to your computer and then sync them to your iPad via iTunes.

My problem comes up in iMovie ’11 (v. 9.0.4/build 1634) and has done so from the beginning of my using the software.
I want to determine the length of time that I want a a still to show (in the context of stills and movie clips). However, I cannot reliably save the still’s length of time showing.
That applies to all stills: I doesn’t matter if I change the length of time individually for each still or check the box for »all clips«.
This looks like a veritable bug, doesn’t it? Has anyone found a way to get around it?I assume you are using transitions. This is not a bug - it is how iMovie handles transitions.
There are two settings for transition overlap - full and half. If you are using photos only, you may get the results you want by setting transition overlap to half.

Has anyone found a way to use the Epson Print Utility with an Airport?
I have an Epson Photo 2200 connected to the USB port of my Time Capsule. Everything has been working great until recently. Now I cannot use Epson Printer Utility unless I connect the printer directly to my Mac via the USB port. It does not find the printer. Connected directly, Epson Print Utility2 works properly. Epson Print Utility3 does not find the printer, even when connected directly. Reading the various discussion threads, I am not alone and the problem is with many, if not all of the Epson printers. The Utility worked fine at one time but appears to have quit working over the network probably around OS upgrade 10.5.2. In addition, you must use the Gutenprint driver when installing the printer. Epson's gives an error.
Has anyone found a way to use the Epson Print Utility with an Airport print server with OS 10.5.2 or later?Before receiving this reply, I had other problems with the Gutenprint driver. I'm not sure what I did but after playing around for about a day, the Epson driver finally worked while connected through the USB port. The printer then worked with the Airport. The print utility still doesn't work without being directly connected. (It used to work while connected to the Airport. Until recently, I never connected the printer directly to a computer.)

This thing has been ******* me off for 2 years and I can't contact Apple directly to rage at them. Hopefully someone there sees this. Has anyone found a way around the bug?

Has anyone found any way to read books on kin twom?
i know i ve seen someone ask this question but it wasnt really addressed the same way, has anyone found a way to read books on kin twom? whether it be through a google portal as i heard someone say, or any other way to do this, preferably without needing the wifi to use it (obviously i would assume you need the wifi to get it in the first place,but maybe not need to be connected to read?) if there is any way, even if throught an online prtsl, please let me know. also, please forgive me for my word usage, i am not by any means a technical person, thanks!
I recently added an ebook called Planet of the ******, to the Kin Twom . Of course, this being a Kin, I had to get creative. I found freeware called RasterBook to convert a html ebook to .jpg. This allowed me to load the jpegs through Zune. Now, when I go to camera -->albums, I can read the ebook.
The way I figured out to do it:
1. Download the freeware RasterBook
2. Open notepad and type in the following: start RasterBook.exe --width 480 --height 320 --rotate 90 --overlap 20 --format jpeg
3. Save the file as kin.bat in the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\RasterBook
4. Download a .html version of an ebook. I found a free one (Planet of the ******) at Project Gutenberg (http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page)
5.Double click on the kin.bat file. This launches RasterBook
6. Open the folder containing the .html of your ebook. Drag and drop the .html file into the RasterBook window.
7. Click on the button "Render Book" in the RasterBook window.
8. You will see your .jpg files start to generate.
9. Finding the resulting .jpg files is a little tricky. The RasterBook freeware kept throwing the ebook .jpgs in the folder C:\Users\<your username here>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\RasterBook or C:\Program Files (x86)\RasterBook. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to where the hundreds of jpg files save to.
10. Once you find your.jpg files load them using Zune to your Kin.
11. Then go to camera --> albums and you should be able to find the book.
12. To read each page of the book swipe the screen to the right or the left to advance to the next page in the book. -
Has anyone found a way to import IPTC data from a csv?
I have a lot of files with English keywords and captions in Aperture.
I need to export this metadata and get it translated into French.
I then would like to import that data back into the original files overwriting the original data.
Has anyone found a way to accomplish this?
Simply put I wish to add iptc metadata into images already in my Aperture database hopefully in an automated fashion from some kind of data file.methinks you are refering to this;

Has anyone found a solution to fixing the FileVault "encryption paused" error?
I got my Macbook Air in mid January 2015. When I set it up I decided to enable FileVault but after a few minutes the encryption failed and now it will not continue and complete, even when I have my computer on and plugged in. I have seen many different possible solutions, but none that really worked well. Has anyone found a good solution to the issue?
Back up all data before proceeding. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Disk Utility.
In the Disk Utility window, select the icon of the startup volume from the list on the left. It will be nested below another disk icon, usually with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar. When prompted, enter the login password of a user authorized to unlock the volume, or the alternate decryption key that was generated when you activated FileVault.
Then, from the menu bar, select
File ▹ Turn Off Encryption
Enter the password again.
You can then restart as usual, if the system is working. Decryption will be completed in the background. It may take several hours, and during that time performance will be reduced.
If you can't turn off encryption in Disk Utility because the menu item is grayed out, you'll have to erase the volume and then restore the data from a backup. Select the Erase tab, and then select
Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
from the Format menu.
You can then quit to be returned to the main Recovery screen. Follow these instructions if you back up with Time Machine. If you use other backup software, follow its developer's instructions.
Don't erase the volume unless you have at least two complete, independent backups. One is not enough to be safe. -
Dear All Has anyone found a break through with the issue of Connect to itunes to use push notifications
Did you get any help on this? From what I can see from surfing this site, it's a BUG that no one has offered a solution to. It sometimes happens after a 'reset' and going to ITunes does not offer a way to 'set up push notifications'.

The type of Raw File used in my Canon 7D MKll is not supported in Camera Raw, Adobe Bridge or Photoshop 5S. How do I fix this?
I gather you are using Photoshop CS5? The most recent Camera Raw version that CS5 will accept is ACR 6.7. Support for the Canon 7D Mark II was added in ACR 8.7.1. You will have to use the DNG converter to covert your CR2 files to the universal DNG raw format. Here are the links for the DNG converter:

Seems the DNG converter doesn't support that camera yet. Iridient Digital does but you may want to wait on Adobe. If not Iridient Devloper (Mac only) is an excellent raw converter.

Has anyone found an easy solution to the U44M1P7 error when installing CC updates?
Like many, many people, shortly after Christmas, 8 updates appeared for various CC apps including Photoshop and Premier Pro, etc.
Every time I try to install these updates, it fails with the U44M1P7 message. I took a look at the knowledge base article about this message and they suggest that some language files got deleted or something and the apps need to be re-installed.
I know for a fact that I did not delete any Adobe files at all in any way from my installation. I do not use any type of cleaner software and have not even used most of these apps let alone deleted for messed with their files in any way.
For as many people that suddenly reported this problem with updates, just makes me suspicious that there is something wrong with the stinking update.
I just can't believe that I have to re-install all this junk just to get updates working again when it just stopped working for no reason at all.
Has anyone found the reason for this and have a quick fix?

Has anyone found a way to save emails to pdf or jpeg
I need a way to save the email itself from the ipad Mail app. An example would be the airline reservation emails I receive. I would like to save these as pdf's.
I can copy the contents of the email and paste them into other apps then turn this into a pdf. The formatting is rarely preserved when I use this method. I would really like to find a way to do this directly from Mail. Have you found an app that does this?I have Save2PDF (I'm trying out a bunch of PDF/printing apps for a class I'm designing so I really didn't look at the price). It works fine to convert emails to PDFs, and once the email is saved to the Save2PDF app, it can be routed to DropBox, which I find super convenient. The only thing to remember is you have to have Save2PDF running or it won't appear in the "Print" menu in Mail.
And yes, you can take a screen shot of an email (although most of my emails would take multiple screeshots!)--just press the home button and the off switch at the same time. The screenshot will show up in your Photos, and from there you can send it to MobileMe, but not (AFAIK) to DropBox.
For me and the way I work, I'm glad to have Save2PDF, especially as I'm tring to do as much as possible with my iPad instead of my MacBook. -
Please advise me as to any method to restore a 1 year old 4S, keep apps from crashing or disappearing. and to reserve battery life? Information on WiFi malfunction would also be greatly appreciated. Sprint is unfortunately my carrier and I suspect a lot of resources are overtaxed to maintain connection. Any advice for this phone, or do I just need to upgrade to a model with new reception technology? Thank you.

In terms of self-resolve I have done everything, including restore to original- to accomplish this I had to re- install Win 7 on a low use machine, as it could not be done with 8.1 Pro- attempt made with Apple advanced tech who also was unsuccessful at even getting the phone to restore with 8.1. I was going, with lots of time and assistance from the tech, to send in for a replacement, until I made one last try with older workstation and without using backup- didn't want to inherit old problems. The phone worked fine for a month or so and then reverted to the problems above. Wi-Fi is not greed out, but won't connect to some sites and 3G is usually faster and more reliable - on the phone, not computers. My data measured usage of data has spiked, I guess that is related to struggling for a Sprint connection. Battery life is rapidly degrading, was okay after restore.
Upgrade thinking was to improve antenna technology. I have owned, personally and as a company, over 50 iPhones. I have loved them, but can't seem to get a straight answer from Apple on this one; which makes me consider options. Has anyone resolved similar problems with the 4G? Fix, wait for 6, switch carriers or switch manufacturers? Is Apple switching it's focus to mass market, cheaper and less expensive? -
Convert previously converted raw files with Adobe DNG converter?
It seems that i am not able to convert my raw files that have already been previously converted to dng with the dng converter. I am wanting to start editing all over again with the raw image but before i can start editing a raw image, i have to convert it to a .dng. Why won't the converter program let me convert the raw file again and just give me the option of naming it differently than the first file? What am i doing wrong?!
Alternatively, is there any way that i can tell ACR (either in bridge or photoshop) to get rid of all edits made on the first .dng converted file and start over again with in-camera image?
Thanks for any help!I don't know why your DNG converter has stopped working. Have you updated to a later version? But you don't need to go through that process again. In Bridge, just right click on the images and there is an option to clear the Camera Raw settings. Or, from inside Camera Raw, press the Alt key and one of the buttons will change to "Reset". In either case all camera raw settings are cleared, giving you the image as it was downloaded.
