Has anyone got a clue how to remove Iso5 or am I stuck with it once downloaded?

I have recently purchased a Iphone 4. I had the Iso4 software installed put have updated to Iso5.
DISASTER!!!!
The menus are sluggish, the app games run slower than a comador 64. Angry Birds in particular its bity and slow. The screen freezes and bunches the apps together and the phone wont switch off!!
I saved up and purchased the phone on pay as you go, does this affect my warranty? If i cannot remove the Iso5 I want a new phone because it is garbage!!

Was that really necesary? I admire and respect those that have reached your level on this forum. I just don't understand the sarcasm,and contempt shown so often to newer members that try to participate in these forums. It cerntainly doesn't encourage inclusion.Maybe that's the intent? Thanks for reply Demo. What I mean by 'failed' is nothing happened when I hit the 'Verify Now' box on the email from Apple in my Inbox I expected to move to another page to enter further details but that didn't happen and there was no message saying 'verification accepted' or similar. I spoke to Apple Support and after about an hour she advised me to speak to a friend. If my friend can solve this, Apple needs to give her a job. Thanks again.

I nervously had a look at it on a friends PC. Of course they didn't have QT to view, but even so it looked very strange - the frame around the QT movie had moved to the bottom left hand part of their browser for some reason. There wasn't time to load up QT on their machine, so I'm wondering if anyone has had good feedback from PC users.
Perhaps it is actually an irrelevent question, as the site should look fine on any platform, but I was wondering.

Sure. I use PCs exclusively at work and those only have QT6 loaded as well as IE. Bottom line...horrible surfing experience...not only for my iWeb site, but many other sites as well. Specifically for my iWeb site though, I have avoided the use of QT encoding with H.264 because that requires the latest QT 7 to be installed to be able to view. I've also had some issues with some animated images not showing (grey box instead). I've not had so much problem with malalignment and shifting of formatting and images. And in general, pages load very slowly and look like crud with grey boxes everywhere until the whole page is loaded and the js cleanup of PNGs is done. Generally speaking after the final render by IE and the JS, things look pretty much as they are supposed to.
I try to encourage most PC users to use FireFox instead of IE, and most of the real PC geeks that I see are already using FireFox.
The thing I do is to carry around a USB flash drive and load a bunch of portable apps onto it like Portable FireFox and GAIM chat. These run right off the flash drive without requiring installation and administrative access to the corporate computer. So it's a little bit easier for me to work this way. I can show my friends my iWeb site this way, too on any computer....I even have a local copy of my website loaded to my flash drive (as well as a backup of my Domain file!).

Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

OK, Has anyone got the QT stand alone installer to work that has a problem getting IT6 to work also?

and now am stuck with an old version of QT and no version of IT! Can't update iPod, can't do crap. How slow can Apple be to fixing whatever bug is in IT6?! It's obvious that alot of people are having trouble and many of us are having the exact same or similar problems. Apparently a call to support is no help.

I didget QT stand alone to install. I had the error -3 message. I unistalled itunes and quicktime. Then I reinstalled using my orginal ipod disc. I then was asked to upgrade to ipod 6 or something. Which I did. Still got the error -3. Then I got the QT stand alone to install by it self and every thing works great now. There was some thing stating if I wanted to "Unistall QT for windows" I said yes. There were some error associated with removing "QT for Windows" during the install but after that it works great. It took something like 20 min. for it to download when it took itunes only 7 min. to download earlier.

i've installed now elisa for the 3-4 time in ~one year and it's still not running. at least i get now the shiny start menu, but when i choose video, music, etc entry and then a directory it simply does nothing and gives out tons of debug errors/messages. and yes, i ugraded to the latest plugins package. don't trust shiny things...

ps: ??? the youtube plugin seems to work ... no it doesn't: i get this strange error "Message: don't know how to handle video/x-h264". though i have _all_ gstreamer-{ugly,dirty,good,evil}-plugins installed.
elisa is made for the ubuntu people. should it then just simply work? hmm

Has ANYONE got a 'faulty' superdrive to work without replacing it?

There are many tales of people here with dodgy sauperdrives. Now I have one in a 2 year old eMac. So before I spend money replacing the superdrive, has anyone got their's going by way of software or cleaning or dancing around their Mac chanting to the sky?

yep,
there are lots of ways to do this in logic. straight off the top of my head (so it won't necessarrily be the best way)
set your loops up in individual exs insts
transform midi note to controller 7 with a trasnformer in environment, mapped note to midi channel.
now when you hit the right key, it will turn the note into controller message to open the volume on the exs instrument with the right midi channel.
you will need a 'master' note to turn on your loops in the exs inistruments. obviously this needs to be connected outside of the transform to midi channel.
if you need to more than 16 loops, you can put a transformer before 'notes to controller 7' to split the messages by their key range. sounds complicated but is really easy, no harder in fact than programming VCR.
you will need a master instrument to run all this from in arrange. i would have used a single channel midi instrument in environemnt new>instrument.

Has anyone got cn8202temp_controller.vi to work. I got it from the Ni website and I've been unable to get it to run right. If there is anyone out there that has got it to work please tell me how you did it. It has an error when you upload the parameters for the recipe. I have enclosed the vi if you want to take a look.

Thanks for responding. The recipe I am using is start from room temperature (20ºC), ramp up to 100 ºC over a period of 15 minutes, remain there for 10 minutes, and then ramp up to 1200ºC over a period of 110 minutes, remain for 10 minutes, then ramp down to 20ºC over a period of 280 minutes. I ran through all the string codes in the program and the only two I can't validate is Run Recipe string $0101W065.0000G2 and the cancel recipe string $0101W063.0000G0
I called and sent emails to Omega on this issue and their response is that they don’t do third party programming. I was hoping that by posting it on here that someone may have used the program and could confirm if it works or not and if it didn’t work could possible tell me what needs to be changed. I’m really beating my head against the wall here and use help from anyone.

Has anyone got the Lion Server wiki to work?

I can get the Lion Server wiki to work on the default website, but cannot figure out how to get it to work on an additional website I have created in the Server app. Has anyone got this to work? If so, how do you do it? I imagine it has something to do with an alias or something in one of the conf files in /etc/apache2/sites, but cannot get past this. Thank you in advance for any guidance.

I finally relented and just put all of my website files in the /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default directory and got my wiki running off of my website properly at www.mydomainname.com/wiki. I am still looking for a way for having this wiki to run off of a website that is not stored in the Default directory if someone knows how to do that. It would also be nice to have several wikis served up (one per website, or even several per website) by the wiki server in the same way that more than one website can be served up by the web server. Anyway, the problem is solved for now.

Has anyone got the Comsoft Profinet example code working??

I have a cRIO Profinet card and I'm attempting to get the example code working.
I have followed the instructions in GettingStarted_cRIO_PN_IO_Device.pdf
I have created an empty project with just the 9023 and 9113 present, and copied the 3 items from the example project cRIO PN IO-Device (LV 2012) as per the documentation.
When I try to compile I get the error shown attached. I cannot view the error as the VI is password protected.
In 5 years of working with cRIO using many different c-series modules from NI and 3rd parties I have never come across a password protected example Vi - this is very disappointing! I don't see how it will be possible to use the card without being able to access this VI, and clearly it is impossible to use it without this VI as they are unwilling to share its functionality.
Has anyone got this working on anything other than a 9104 (which the example uses?) Does anyone know the password? Is it possible to use the card without using this example code?
I will be communicating with a Siemens PLC (acquiring a load of U16s and logging on the cRIO at 20ms intervals).
Many thanks for any input, or any experiences of using this card.

Just for the record, I am using the CRIO-PN with cRIO-9081 and cRIO-9068 integrated chassis successfully.
LabVIEW (RT/FPGA) 2013 SP1.
I didn't use the higher level ComSoft example code directly, as the VIs use so many control/indicators that the FPGA usage is sky high. I rewrote them to pass the I/O data via DMA FIFOs.

I bought a new sim card today at the t-mobile shop and they activated the card just by putting credit on, i got home put the sim in the iphone and still got the same message. I have restored and shut down I dont know how many times and updated itunes, I am wishing i had said no to updating the phone as i have no iphone to use and apple say i should go to an apple shop.

Follow the Account management options until you are offered and email contact.
Explain the issue via email as only someone in Support can now remove your iPhone Number from iMessages if it has not "de-registered" itself correctly.

Now Tony, I know you can't hear my tone on a forum post but I was not complaining, simply stating facts . This change brought several people in my office to a grinding halt in a long established workflow that is really rather simple (and I thought was already assumed from the original post above ):
1) Select a set of records in FileMaker Pro 12 and export only their e-mail addresses as a CSV file.
2) Open that CSV file in Excel.
3) Copy the column of e-mail address.
4) paste into the appropriate recipient field in Mail.
5) Send
If I were to complain it would be about Apple's typically opaque approach to updates. There is no granular explanation of why changes were made or even "what" changes were made.
Complaining is futile since Apple is Apple and is unlikely to change, but sometimes it is cathartic to "shout into the void" .
I had thought about doing something with a formula in Excel and your suggestion was simple and helpful. Again, however, it is only a workaround for a long established helpful behavior that Apple has inexplicably broken/removed in Mavericks Mail.
I, and the other posters here, would love to have the capability back rather than have to add previously unneeded steps to our workflows.
Ultimately we may add scripting steps to the FileMaker side to export the address lists with commas inserted already if Apple ends up having permanently removed this feature.
