Has anyone got tethering to Nikon D3x on Mac Lion to work?
I've been trying with LR4, LR4.1RC2, and LR3.6 - but none recognise a camera is attached.
Same with a Nikon D700
I've tried all the suggested troubleshooting tips but still no go.

Delete "com.apple.PTPCamera" files in the ~/Library/Preference folder

Has anyone successfully tethered a Nikon D7000 with Aperture 3.1?
Hi,
I have a new Nikon D7000 and tried to tether it to Aperture 3.1. Aperture recognizes it as a D7000, but I can't get an image to display. I'm outputting JPEG right now and can wait until RAW is available, but it would be convenient to tether so I can get immediate feedback on the image while I'm shooting.
Has anyone had success tethering the D7000 with Aperture 3 or is the software not there yet? I'm talking about having the image immediately downloaded to the iMac and automatically displayed after you take each photo, not downloading at the end of the day.
ThanksUPdate - the key was opening a new project in Aperture 3. Once I did that, Aperture recognized the D7000 and I could shoot from the camera and have it displayed immediately on the iMac.
It works right out of the box. Yea!!!

Has anyone got the Calendar feature for 'Show Holidays calendar' to work ?
I have tried most things but cannot get this to work for the UK ! I am under the impression it looks at your regional settings and then adds the holidays for that region. My region is set correctly so I assume it just doesnt work for UK.

OK, Has anyone got the QT stand alone installer to work that has a problem getting IT6 to work also?

and now am stuck with an old version of QT and no version of IT! Can't update iPod, can't do crap. How slow can Apple be to fixing whatever bug is in IT6?! It's obvious that alot of people are having trouble and many of us are having the exact same or similar problems. Apparently a call to support is no help.
MarkI didget QT stand alone to install. I had the error -3 message. I unistalled itunes and quicktime. Then I reinstalled using my orginal ipod disc. I then was asked to upgrade to ipod 6 or something. Which I did. Still got the error -3. Then I got the QT stand alone to install by it self and every thing works great now. There was some thing stating if I wanted to "Unistall QT for windows" I said yes. There were some error associated with removing "QT for Windows" during the install but after that it works great. It took something like 20 min. for it to download when it took itunes only 7 min. to download earlier.

I'm trying to update my apps using the creative cloud desktop app. I can't see any apps in the app tab, the wheel just spins round and round and nothing happens. Has anyone got any ideas? I've tried uninstalling the desktop app and reinstalling but it still has the same problem.

Has anyone had trouble manipulating Nikon D750 raw image (NEF) in Aperture (version 3.6 500021000000000.3, Digital Camera RAW 6.0 - Build 761.5, Digital Camera RAW support 6000 - Build 136.1)
I used to be able to manipuplate Nikon Raw (NEF) images from a Nikon D70 and D3200 using Aperture, until the 70 died and the 3200 was stolen about 18 months ago. Recently I did two things: (1) I upgraded OS X to Yosemite and (2) purchased a Nikon D750. I have successfully imported NEF files from the camera to Aperture, but the images do not render/ cannot be opened/ manipulated. Instead, I see a black thumbnail for each imported image with a cassette recorder play icon in the center of each image.
I can view the NEF image in Finder preview mode, either directly when viewing the images on the camera SD card or after exporting the previously imported NEF image from Aperture to my desktop or user folder. Previously imported NEF image seem unaffected.

D.The current Apple OSX 10.10 Yosemite and the current Aperture version 3.6 do not have support yet for importing Nikon d750 nef/raw files. It usually takes Apple six to eight weeks to release a new digital camera raw update file for new Nikon dslr models. Once that digital camera raw update file is finally released, update your current version of Aperture and that will allow you to import your d750 raw files. In the meantime, you have many workarounds. In my opinion, the easiest is to save images in duplicate nef/raw and jpeg image files to your SD cards.
And for now, just import the jpegs to Aperture 3.6 from your d750. Process your jpegs in Aperture - and hope your clients are happy with the jpegs and can wait for later nef/raw image processing. Be sure to save and do not erase your original SD cards that include the nef/raw and jpeg files - then when Aperture finally releases a new digital camera raw file update that includes the d750 - just insert your original camera SD cards into the computer platform and import the old d750 nef/raw files and edit/process them.
There are many other ways to proceed in the interim as well. You can always import your d750 nef/raw images into Lightroom (if it has been updated to convert the d750 nef files) and process them there. But for the time being, if you can afford to save and hold onto your original SD cards and wait for the inevitable Aperture digital camera raw update, this is a very easy and simple way to proceed. -
My apps will not download to iPad 2 This is something that has just recently happened. Have tried re-booting but that makes no difference .
Has anyone got the answer to this problem please or do I need to take it into an Apple store Thanking you.If all of that stuff checks out - and iTunes is telling you that the apps have been downloaded to the iPad - try this.
Connect your iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. Right click on your iPad name on the left side of iTunes under devices and select Transfer Purchases from the pop up menu. Then sync with iTunes again. Don't eject the iPad yet. If you still don't see the apps on the iPad - click on the Apps Tab in the iTunes window on the right and see if they show up on any of the iPad screens. If they do - make sure that all of the apps are selected (checked) to sync - (checkmarks in the boxes next to the app names) - check to make sure that the Sync Apps heading is checked and as well and then sync again. You may have to click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes if the apps were not selected to sync. -

Pay no attention to iinami, the amount of replies to people saying their handsets must have been jailbroken everytime iTunes throws out an error is tremendous. (Clearly you don't need to have any real knowledge to get to level 3 on these forums, let's hope apple's geniuses know a lot more than some of their customers.)

has anyone got elisa running?
i've installed now elisa for the 3-4 time in ~one year and it's still not running. at least i get now the shiny start menu, but when i choose video, music, etc entry and then a directory it simply does nothing and gives out tons of debug errors/messages. and yes, i ugraded to the latest plugins package. don't trust shiny things...

Has ANYONE got a 'faulty' superdrive to work without replacing it?
There are many tales of people here with dodgy sauperdrives. Now I have one in a 2 year old eMac. So before I spend money replacing the superdrive, has anyone got their's going by way of software or cleaning or dancing around their Mac chanting to the sky?

there are lots of ways to do this in logic. straight off the top of my head (so it won't necessarrily be the best way)
set your loops up in individual exs insts
transform midi note to controller 7 with a trasnformer in environment, mapped note to midi channel.
now when you hit the right key, it will turn the note into controller message to open the volume on the exs instrument with the right midi channel.
you will need a 'master' note to turn on your loops in the exs inistruments. obviously this needs to be connected outside of the transform to midi channel.
if you need to more than 16 loops, you can put a transformer before 'notes to controller 7' to split the messages by their key range. sounds complicated but is really easy, no harder in fact than programming VCR.
you will need a master instrument to run all this from in arrange. i would have used a single channel midi instrument in environemnt new>instrument.
my method will work but there maybe a way to set everything up in an exs instance, but i not sure how you would do that so it didn't retrigger rather than open up the volume on the part of the loop you want.
my way will work though. -

The recipe I am using is start from room temperature (20ºC), ramp up to 100 ºC over a period of 15 minutes, remain there for 10 minutes, and then ramp up to 1200ºC over a period of 110 minutes, remain for 10 minutes, then ramp down to 20ºC over a period of 280 minutes. I ran through all the string codes in the program and the only two I can't validate is Run Recipe string $0101W065.0000G2 and the cancel recipe string $0101W063.0000G0
I called and sent emails to Omega on this issue and their response is that they don’t do third party programming. I was hoping that by posting it on here that someone may have used the program and could confirm if it works or not and if it didn’t work could possible tell me what needs to be changed. I’m really beating my head against the wall here and use help from anyone.

I had a go with the terminal commnds posted by apple support but no joy. Since then Apple has pulled the suport article - is it because it didn't work?
I get PPTP is less secure but PPTP seems to be more reliable don't know whey they can't keep as GUI. I've got them both running on our 10.4 server and L2TP stoped allowing connections for no reason PPTP was still working L2TP started working again on its own. Plus L2TP drops my connection when I connect with a 2nd device e.g connected with my Macbook connect with my iPhone (different username) it drops my Macbook.
Any advice getting PPTP to work on Lion Server would be appreciated

I have posted a bugreport on this issue to Apple. Currently (10.7.2) it is not possible to run PPTP on any Mac OS X Server when using a 10.7 Server as Directory Server.
I have tried 'everything', but the MPPE encryption mechanism seems to be broken.
Edit: I see now that the bugreport is filed as a duplicate to an older case, which is now closed. I hope this means they have found the problem and will release a fix in the next update. -

But for various compatibility reasons this machine has to been running Win98SE.

the first for the actual python script files.
the second for the user interface.
you might have installed the user interface, but without installing python, and that's why its not loading up the application, also make sure you install python to phone memory.
On my N96 I installed:
Python for S60 1.4.4
Python script shell 1.4.4
if you get an 'update error' when installing its because you have not un-installed all of the old python stuff, open app manager on the handset and un-install all python relating files
one last thing, install python and the shell to the phone memory (c drive)
