Has anyone had a DPS Newsstand app rejected because magazine is biannual?
Rejection from Apple is telling me magazine must be updated at least quarterly to be distributed through Newsstand, but I subscribe to multiple otehr biannual magazines through Newsstand. Is this a new rule, or is there a workaround?
I think you need to publish atleast once in 3 months (Quaterly) to be part of Newsstand.

If you are really running iOS 3.1.2 as your signature suggests, that is likely the issue. Many apps now require iOS 4.3 or higher. -
Has anyone had a problem with their imac after the power company--in my case Pepco in Washington DC--installed "smart meters" which read the meter and transmit the data via wireless? I've had trouble and when I move the imac downstair it disappears. Help!

It might, as long as the shield is grounded. Metallic (such as copper) window screen is often sufficient.
As mentioned, it would not hurt to file a complaint. The burden of proper shielding should probably belong to Pepco. Among other things, the FCC frowns upon RF leakage and its interfereing with radio communications. Besides, Pepco probably would not want you to affix a shield around their gear - liability issues, etc.
You could experiment by temporarily hanging a shield-screen on the inside of the wall, behind where the meter transmitter device is located, and see if there is any beneficial change. -
A lot of my apps have disappeared and I can't re download them. Matter of fact I can't download anything from the app store
god, i love it when i find answers to my own questions! here is a work-around, not really a fix because you have to run this daemon that constantly performs read operations to prevent the drive from going into low power mode - which seems to be the source of this problem. caution: this will drain your battery if you leave computer awake while not plugged in, but this solution darn well beats the issues i was having before with spinning beachball every couple minutes.. i was going crazy! it only eats about 2-3% of cpu usage and i have not had the problem since i installed this daemon which sits in Library\LaunchDaemons (if you want to remove it later.) also the developer leaves his email in the install file and he is very helpful.

I have updated my iOS and now my hotmail will not verify my password through apple mail app. I have reset password - tried new password and old password and it still gives me password incorrect. Hotmail works fine on Mac. Has anyone had this difficulty and been able to resolve it?
Did you try deleting the mail account, then adding it back? I've read a lot of times that is what needs to happen in order for it to work properly.

Is the check something like a payroll check where its digitally printed and all in text?, or is it a handwritten check?
from my experience handwritten checks rarely work, myself and friends have always recieved an error stating the picture was to blurry no matter how many times we took a picture. From what i have read with others who have issues with depositing handwritten checks, some checks are deemed to blurry based on the handwriting, therefore the app wont accept the check, while other handwritten check will be accepted just fine, i hope this resolves your issue's and concerns -
The display screen on my Ipad is coming up all blurred with blue background mixed with pink and purple lines. It's difficult to see icons but apps are still accessible. Colors are off and images are very unclear on apps and home screen.

Thanks.First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
But it could also be a hardware failure. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -

I had a similar issue and it was an easy fix for me. First you need to log out of your account completely in the Mac App Store. Quit the application. Re-open the Mac App Store. Click log-in, enter your Apple-ID and password. Now when the screen pops-up that has all of your billing/credit card information on it DO NOT select done. Instead select View my Account, then select View hidden purchases. There you should be able to find iPhoto. Hope this helps if not let me know. I'm still searching solutions for you.

Has anyone had an iPhone email problem associated with the VPN app, Hotspot Shield?
I just want to make a record for the Apple Community. After installing Hotspot Shield on my iPhone 5, I developed a host of email problems including erratic reception and recurrent failures to send emails. I called Apple Support and, after standard repair measures failed (like deleting email accounts and reinstalling them) was advised to try deleting Hotspot Shield.
Removal of Hotspot Shield was unexpectedly difficult (simple deletion of the icon that works with other Apps did not suffice). With the help of Apple Support, the Hotspot Shield app was finally eradicated. The result was that all the email problems disappeared.
Again, I just wish to make this record of iPhone email trouble clearly caused by Hotspot Shield available in case someone else runs into the same problem. I did not contact Hotspot Shield but the point is that I began with an email problem that was mysterious to Apple Support and we finally traced it to a recent installation of Hotspot Shield. -

Has anyone had an issue with FindText not scrolling in Acrobat X?
I wrote some code for Acrobat 8 using C# that used AcroAVDoc 's FindText method to search for a particular phrase so that I may find the page the text it was on and its location on the page so that I can insert an image at that location. This worked great, the FindText method returned true when it found the text, scrolled to the page it was on and selected the text. In Acrobat X, I can not reproduce this. It finds the text but does not scroll or select.
Has anyone had this issue? If so, how did you resolve it?
