Has anyone had a positive Ovi experience?

Has anyone had a positive Ovi experience, particularly when dealing with support. I've tried twice now. The first time it took two weeks and many emails before I got my application. This time, again after two weeks, they sent the wrong application version (peggle) and are now not responding to emails.Given that applications are supposed to be redownloadable now, I don't understand the difficulty.
People will forgive a lot of faults if the customer service is good. The Ovi support seems to be rather slow and uncertain. I realize that only people with problems will postbut even so, it appears that there are problems to be addressed.

My experience with Ovi store has been good (using N97). Smooth downloads and installations. One setting that I am glad the Ovi store client has, is to provide the "Install to Phone Memory/Mass Memory/Memory Card" option. I set it once and dont have to worry about installations getting installed into my phone memory. People complain about the lack of a huge number of apps available on Ovi store and compare it with Apple's app store. Well i think that Ovi store will grow with time as well..just like the Apple's app store. Its only a matter of time.
I guess the "Ovi Experience" should encompass all things Ovi and hence, the Ovi Suite which in turn contains other stand alone apps. If I have to summarize, Ovi Suite has been a huge disappointment. I fail to understand when companies take one of their perfectly working existing products (in this case Nokia PC Suite) and in the name of adding more features and (supposedly) enhanced user experienc, absolutely clutter it up with all sorts of additional components and packages. I was seriously annoyed when i saw a huge list of Nokia Ovi XYZ components getting installed on my computer.Well I know the answer to that could be to uncheck the items i dont want to install but in that case, at least privde a small description next to the component regarding what it actually does or why would i need it. Dont expect that in the middle of an installation , i should be googling to find out what nokia media server does or why should I install Nokia One Touch Access and pleaes dont assume that I should be knowing them beforehand since they are very cool features ....this could be the user's first experience with Nokia. I could still let all of this pass if this collections of tools or apps or whatever could actually do what its meant for. I used Nokia Music that comes with the Ovi Suite to transfer music to my newly bought N97. It managed to do only once (which also proves that there was nothing wrong with the installation/my laptop/my phone) The next time i tried, Nokia Music just fails to detect my phone. The funny thing is that the Ovi Suite does recognize my phone when I connect it in PC Suite mode. As if that was not enough, uninstallation and re-installation was another area where the Ovi Experience has been a bad one. If there is an uninstaller packaged with the suite, then can someone please educate me as to why do I have to run use PC Suite Cleaner to remove all traces of the previous installation? Please Nokia, either dont include the uninstaller if I have to download another app for removal OR add this feature into the unistaller itself and If you think its not possible, then there is something seriously messed up with your product and you need to go back to your SRS documentation.
Hmmmm it looks like my tone has been a bit harsh but I have been really really frustrated by the Ovi Suite. I hope Nokia does come up with a better version of the Ovi Suite because after looking at various forums including Nokia support discussions, it appears that a lot of users are facing similar problems. I was very happy to get my hands on my N97 but a week into such problems and I am already missing my BB. After all, what good is a shiny multimedia brick with 32 gb memory if you dont get to use the multimedia features?

    Have spent 1 month trying to get a resolution to this problem and Apple seem to be behaving in a profoundly unprofessional manner. My own phone (14 month old – so outwith warranty) failed the day of the update to IOS 7.0.4 and on checking with a techie colleague discovered his had failed as well. I'm assuming the new software is overdriving the Wi-Fi chip which then overheats causing solder-joint degradation. The only fix is for the chip to be re-attached by very sophisticated SMT flow-solder technology - a bit beyond a "man with a blowlamp".
    Apple should NOT be responding with an audible note of surprise when you phone support with your problem when the forums are inundated with countless examples of a problem which has obviously been caused by an IOS upgrade which it would appear is inappropriate for their current iPhone models.
    I was hoping for a “special upgrade or replacement offer” for victims of this problem – but cannot wait any longer, so have reluctantly opted for a Mail-In Exchange/Repair. A recent convert to Apple products – 2 Write-Off phones in three years is getting seriously expensive for me! If Apple don’t respond more positively this will I fear get seriously expensive for them too!

    its fixed!!  After posting my problem with the FROZEN ipod classic (2007) 80 gb a screen popped up with similar subjects that I did not find in my original search.  'Rich Fleming' in the community posted a suggestion to someone with a similar frozen issue and it WORKED when I tried it. 
    hold the 'menu' and the 'circle' buttons down at the same time, KEEP the pressed until the apple appears. and now it is working.  Hope this helps others.

    There's no reason for a standard external USB hard drive enclosure not to work on a Mac. The technology is an industry standard. As you don't link to the specific item, we can't say anything about the quality, ect... but I guess for $1 you don't have much to loose. So long as you're sure the drive you have is an older IDE drive (as most drive for the past few years have been SATA). I guess that may be why they're selling so cheap as IDE drives are pretty rare in notebooks anymore.

    Check how many applications are starting when you log in, I found that if there was a lot of activity at login Finder did not display the icons on the desktop correctly, again like you it did not occur at every login, just occasionally.
    For Safari have you tried resetting Safari, if that does not help you could disable plugins and extensions one at a time. You may find one of those is causing the problem.

    I am afraid its worsen then THAT!!. I bought two licences from those fraud spammers, liftetime with "satisfaction or moneyback guarentee".
    Both my Imac and MacPro kept crashing after installing it. All the helpdesk from zeobit did for me was sending me mails i should re-install osx and mackeeper.
    When that didnt help, the gave in. I asked my money back, as in the guarentee. Thet denied flat out. "Sir this is not OUR software causing the problem, but OSX. Go there with your complained!"
    Alsoo there newsletter......i UNLISTED 9 times now and still i get 5-8 spam mails a week.
    It´s a fraud a company !!

    Hi, I recently bought Apple TV 2nd gen. I can, after a while, get access to my library but when I start to play movies I cannot get sound. Has anyone had a similar experience? If so what did you do to overcome the problem?

    Do the movies contain both stereo and 5.1 audio.
    Have you tried toggling the Dolby Digital setting or the Audio Output setting.

    What version of iPhoto? How are you trying?
    As a Test:
    Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
    Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

    I do not know if a similar one will be required for AutoCAD LT so be sure to check their website.

    I had a similar experience with mac e-mail where apparently someones ICLOUD id for their Iphone was created with an Alias I had @mac.com for years.  Originally thought the mail was phishing and deleted without opening - then received forwarded mail from the other persons non-apple account - so gave feedback through mail to apple and also sent an email to the other persons non-apple account from a non-apple account telling them I was getting their mail because it was my alias.    
    That person did get apple to untangle the accounts so I did have to reset my password once it was done.
    So one option would be to contact apple support to get them to find out what is going on with your account.
    E-mail contact of the other person was easy once I had a legit account to send to -- don't know how you would contact the other person in notes.

    Is the check something like a payroll check where its digitally printed and all in text?, or is it a handwritten check?
    from my experience handwritten checks rarely work, myself and friends have always recieved an error stating the picture was to blurry no matter how many times we took a picture. From what i have read with others who have issues with depositing handwritten checks, some checks are deemed to blurry based on the handwriting, therefore the app wont accept the check, while other handwritten check will be accepted just fine, i hope this resolves your issue's and concerns

The Apple tech told me that all I could do is wait for Apple to come up with a fix... Got a new router this week so that isnt' it.  Would I be better off w/o this until Apple gets their act together?  I downloaded the combo update 10.7.3 & it helped for about a day...  yesterday I still had to manually reset the connection but now it's resorting back to disconnectiong w/o fully going into sleep mode first.  Sorry to say this is a major lemon.  Help!

    Seems unfair... I thought I was probalby having a router problem...  got a new router this week. Thst's when we realized we have a computer problem.  My next door nieghbor got zero sleep staying up all night while trying to help us figure out what the problem could be. He said if it were him he would have returned the iMac / Lion.  Got the new iMac w/ Lion for Christmas but didn't realize until this week that Apple is the problem....  Hard to believe that Apple just has kept on selling this like ... oh  No problem!  Can't stay on the internet... but will sell you another one today!  I'm getting mad...  It's not every day we spend that kind of money on a computer .  & ALL they can give us is that LOUSY Lion combo update.  I can't even stay connected long enough to make a vitamin order with Puritan's Pride...  & then the disconnection wipes out my cart... so I have to  start over. When are they going to fix this!   'Not feeling very positive'.  I feel like Apple KNOWINGLY sold my husband a defective... system.  14 days... oh please...

    This is a place ONLY for people with problems so every one you read has "A PROBLEM"
    I installed 10.5.2 with no problems (repaired permissions, verified my disk, have a current clone in case of problems - but did not need it)

    Has anyone had this problem with IPad 3 after upgrade to IOS 7,
    trying to to connect VPN , but I get this messag, "could not validate the server certificate".
    I am trying to connect to Oracle VPN.

    Has anyone found a solution for this yet? I am still getting the could not validate server certificate error. I have tried importing the entire certificate chain as well as importing each individual cert in the chain. My certificate works perfectly with the cisco vpn on my pc.
    This is my first experience owning an apple product, and I am very disappointed with the customer support that I have received. I tried calling the help line and no one would even attempt to answer my question. I was then told that the Mac "geniuses" wouldn't know either and that I may be able to find an answer on the message boards. So I am reaching out to the community...Has anyone been able to figure out how to resolve this issue or even the specific cause? Any help is appreciated.
