Has anyone had problems sending emails using via (Road Runner) POP account?

I cannot send any emails w/ the iPhone via Road Runner POP account.... I have tried everything. From Calling Time Warner to have my Password reset just incase I'm using the incorrect password, which in fact the settings menu for mail says the password for outgoing emails are optional.. I keep getting a message saying "my email was rejected by the server" Is anyone having this problem and if so please suggest any solutions.......
Does anyone know how to set my mail app on my home computer to only forward the messages I want to my iPhone while moving all other junk emails to my Junk folder on my computer????

Last I checked you could not access RoadRunner outgoing mail servers from outside of the RoadRunner network (i.e., the AT&T EDGE network). You can use cwmx.com as your outgoing mail server, with no ID or password, and that will work while you are on EDGE (but now when you are on WiFi).
As for junk mail, that is the scourge of the internet. Many people have many solutions - I can share with you mine. I had all my email forwarded to a free GMail account. GMail has amazingly efficient SPAM filters, and it has cut down my spam 99%. You can configure your account on the iPhone using the "Other" shortuct in such a way that emails seem to come from your Roadrunner account. The added bonus is that the GMail outgoing server works on both EDGE and WiFi, so you dont have to worry about where you are at.

  • Has anyone had problems with Domayne using generic third party RAM for memory upgrades? My RAM is now faulty and had to be removed, but Apple wont replace it under Apple Care because its not a genuine component?

The computer was purchased in the knowledge that all components and hardware were genuine and subsequently covered by the Apple Care warranty.
Domayne replaced the genuine components (8GB stick) with generic components (2x 16GB sticks) to save money and boost margin.
Apple should not allow this misleading, profiteering behaivour. This behaviour is brand damaging. Apple must maintain more control over their supply chain.
Has anyone had any expirenece with this problem?
Has anyone made Domayne or other third party resellers acountable for this misleading behaviour?
    Thank you.

Stick with Brand name RAM and reputable distributors.  Mac is finicky about low quality RAM
    Try OWC http://www.macsales.com/
    Crucial http://www.crucial.com/
Most RAM comes with Lifetime guarenntee so return it where you got it.

  • Anyone had trouble sending emails using mac pro

Until recently I was sending and recieving email with no problem using my Mac Mail and home router to a Hotmail server. About 2 weeks ago I was unable to send emails to anyone it came back with the message smtp server not responding.  I know the server is ok because I can send from other PCs and via web mail on the Mac.  I have concluded there is a mismatch between my router and Mac Mail application and wondered if any one else has experienced this.  More importantly do you know how to fix it?
    Any advice is welcome
    SB31

Simply it is Mac Mail. For any reason, or no reason at all, it just stops sending or recieving mail.
If you want to forgo these type problems in the future switch to some other, ANY OTHER, Mail program.
Mac Mail is the worst. If you don't believe me just do a search of these forums for Mail Stopped sending Mail, or Can Recieve but can't Send.
I use Thunderbird on all my computers, PC and Mac, and have not had one problem with it in the year+ I've been using it.
I used Mac Mail for about a day and said "There Has to be Something better". I then switched to Thunderbird on the Mac then a few days later switched my PCs, multiples, to Thunderbird.

  • TS3899 My iphone has had problems sending e-mail via my 1&1 e-mail account

My iphone has had problems sending e-mail via my 1&1 e-mail account for the last two days.  I get a 'recipient rejected by the server' message.  I have not changed any settings.  If I change the from address to i-cloud the e-mails go.  Advice please.

i think you need to contact your email provider - that sounds like an issue on their end and nothing to do with your phone.

One I had done this I was able to send from my main email and other email adddresses set up under my account."
Superb advice R&W!  My email sending block using TalkTalk started 2 months ago using Snow Leopard, continued when I upgraded to 10.8.2, and has been persistent on my wife's new iPad (IOS 6.1).  Implementing your wise words has fixed all that, and now enables me to call her on FaceTime — previously only she could call me.  Thank you so much; this will save hours of further fruitless searching and phoning.
Please remember that your email is now insecure, if you wish to have a secure connection SSL must be on and port 25 should be avoided.

  • Has anyone had problems trying to burn playlists to CD's so tht they can play on standard CD players.

Has anyone had problems trying to burn playlists to CD's, so that they can play on regular CD players?

Yes, I have had problems playing burned IDVD's on stand alone dvd players and on pc's.
I have set the burn speed to 4x and as low as 2x to no avail.
I will try Verbatim discs and DVD-R  to see if that resolves my problem.
I will also make sure of the minimum of 25 gb free space on hard disk.
Do you prefer a particular cleaning-dvd?  I've never used one on my macmini.
Thanks for your responses, I'm anxious to try your suggestions and see what happens.

  • My imac intel display is frozen.  Both the mouse and my network is working.  Has anyone had problems like this and were you successful at fixing it?

My imac (Intel) display is frozen.  Both the mouse and the network are working.  I've shut down various times, pulled the cord from the receptacle on the power strip, and restarted several times.  No luck.  Has anyone had problems like this and were you successful at fixing it?  Thanks.  Would appreciate any help.  Paula

Same problem, but a c.2009 iMac running OS X 10.9.1. Just happened overnight. Presently, I'm able to access my HD via wireless via laptop and copying all non-backed up files to an external drive. So far, Paula is the only other person I've found with this same problem and hers was three years ago! Going to keep searching for an answer.

Has anyone had problems with the latest Lexmark printer driver update? My Lexmark printers won't work with the latest driver update. If I reinstall an older version of the drivers, they work.

Mine crashed once with new update, but working fine.
I had to delete old printer, restart iMac, and then reinstall
new drivers to get it to work. Would not complete without
the restart after deleting non-working printer. No problems
    since and all features working.

  • HT1766 Has anyone had trouble sending a photo message

Has anyone had trouble sending a photo message

Many people (I'm not one of them) have had trouble sending pictures for a very wide variety of reasons.
If what you're actuallly trying to say is "I'm having trouble sending pictures. Can someone help?" then we're going to need more details. Check with your carrier to make sure your account is properly set up. Go to Settings>Messages and make sure you have MMS turned on. Make sure that you have an active data connection (cellular or WiFI).

Has anyone had problems with their apps downloading to their ipod? Or know why all apps have been removed from their ipod?

Possibly, but what problems?  Any errors?
If you are really running iOS 3.1.2 as your signature suggests, that is likely the issue.  Many apps now require iOS 4.3 or higher.
