Has anyone had strange things show up in their Notes?

I am the only one with access to my phone, and since I worked from home today it was with me all day. Today a note showed up with the words Chips Pepsi and dr pepper. Funny, I like coke. I definitely did not write this.

Is anyone else on your account?
Maybe your home computer has icloud synching on. Your wife or husband can type and save to cloud and it shows up on your device
I thought you were going to say it was alien writing or something

The iWeb Application will still run after Mobile Me will be turned off; you can export your web pages to a folder on your hard disk and use ftp to upload the pages to another hosting service.
The generated webpages however will refer to icons located on the mobile me server. To make the forward/backward arrows in slide shows work again you will have to patch the iWeb Application. See Old Toad's tutorial on how to do this:

Has anyone had a message come up on their iPad about icloud backup? The message on mine is"This iPad hasn't been backed up in 3 weeks.Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi."The message won't go away and the iPad is frozen,you can't unlock it or turn it off.Any suggestions as to how to fix this problem?

Try to make a hard reboot of your device by pressing and holding down the home button + power button at the same time for ca. 10-20 sec. until the Apple logo appears.

Has anyone had a problem with their "spotlight search" not working? If I restart the phone it will work for a few days then not work again.

It's more likely the OP's router. I have a wifi only iPad 2, yet location services work just fine on my iPad. If I open maps, my location is found quite nicely. I have seen that some routers do not provide location services and I suspect the OP has such a router.

I have the first gen iPhone and noticed something different on my phone the other day. On the edge icon the blue square box usually has the "E" inside of it but when I looked at my phone the blue square box and a black circle in it. It stayed like that for at least 30 seconds. Does anyone have any info as to what the blue square box with the black circle mean?

it cant be gprs because gprs is still a blue/white box, apple didnt change this in the new firmware because in this page where they explain the meaning of the status bar icons not only is the one in question not included but GPRS is shown as the simple blue/white box

Has anyone had trouble with safari after having their hard drive replaced?

I received an email about the recall on hard drives for the iMacs and took it to my local apple store to have it replaced. I brought it home today and started it up to find safari will not open. Whenever I try to use safari it brings up a prompt saying safari quit unexpectedly and I can either click "ok" or "reopen". When I click "reopen" it only brings back the same prompt.
I called the apple store and they redirected me to the apple phone support number. Apple phone support would not let me speak with someone without paying twenty dollars. I am not about to pay for problems caused by apple's faulty parts. I called the store back and I am currently waiting to hear back from a manager.
Any trouble shooting ideas would be much appreciated!!!

I had my HD replaced under the recall program. I am running 10.6.8 and Safari 5.1.7 on a 2.8GHz iMac.
I haven't noticed any significantly different behavior of Safari since having my HD replaced and using Time Machine to restore my data. The only thing I've run across in about 2 weeks is that Safari's Preferences panel takes a bit longer to load than I remember.
One thing you can try is launching Safari from your computer's main Applications folder. If it still crashes, you can also try downloadng a fresh copy here: http://www.apple.com/support/safari/
Have you ever checked out Firefox? I personally like it better than Safari because it offers more security options, such as greater control over cookies, and supports many useful privacy and security plugins.

Has anyone had issues with 4G Connectivity with their Windows HTC 8X?

I recently upgraded to the Windows HTC8X and have not had 4G service since. I've only had the device about three weeks and initially had 4G service. Now I barely get service at all. Ivive in washington DC, the entire city is in a 4G service area yet no matter where I go in the city, no 4G service, only 3G and that is sporatic. HELP!!

Both inside and outside areas. no issues so far with voice calls or text messages. I cannot access the internet most times, get error messages that page is not found or unable to access the file at this time. Have just abut given up on using the web feature. Will not allow me access to my wifi portal at work. Have powered on and off several times. Another issue I have is when I power off and the phone is connected to the charger it will automatically power back on. I don't like that at all and this phone is just one big battery, you cannot take the battery out and put back in, lol. Have been working with Verizon Tech support for two weeks so far not go with resolving issue. Waiting now for new sim card to see if that helps.

My 4S Iphone would not sync although it would charge when i connected it to my computer. I got help from an apple representative who walked me through syncing with icloud to get back my contacts. My phone wil not hold a charge since then. Apple diagnostic said the battery was perfect??

hi Thank you so much for your reply. I swear with every Apple product every time there is a problem with a product it acts up at home but at soon as I get to the store everything is resolved. There is no longer a problem. I end up looking like someone who is trying to hassle the employees. I will test it out for a little longer to see if it might improve.

its fixed!! After posting my problem with the FROZEN ipod classic (2007) 80 gb a screen popped up with similar subjects that I did not find in my original search. 'Rich Fleming' in the community posted a suggestion to someone with a similar frozen issue and it WORKED when I tried it.
hold the 'menu' and the 'circle' buttons down at the same time, KEEP the pressed until the apple appears. and now it is working. Hope this helps others.

As Shootist pointed out, the system uses more power.
However, initially it will reindex the hard drive for spotlight, which will slow things down temporarily.
It also must rebuild caches that eventually will speed things up.
If it has completed indexing the hard drive (no dot pulsing in the spyglass), then there might be something wrong.
Start by booting into the Recovery HD (a partition created with Lion that has Disk Utility and reinstallation options) by holding down cmd-r when you restart. You can let go when the gray screen appears.
When it boots, select Disk Utility and Repair the drive.
If that doesn't speed things up, try re-installing the OS from the same Recovery HD. It won't delete any of your files, but it has helped some people whose Macs ran slow after installing Lion.
Also, how much memory do you have? Lion needs RAM so maxing your Mac out might also help.

Hard drives do not appear in 10.1 like they used to in previous versions.
You can open and close libraries as needed and you can store them and move them as needed.
