Has anyone had this issue with CUPS-PDF after update to Yosemite?

It states the PDF is getting made but have looked and no file ever gets created. The printer Queue shows a file but it always pauses the queue and even after resume it does not create a PDF file

Hi, I have this issue too.
It looks like a sandbox issue : In the system log, I can read, just after trying to print something, with no file created (cups-pdf is intended to create a PDF file) :

I tried to uninstall and re-install several times, changed configuration (where to create the PDF files), chmod 777 folders and executables, reseted PRAM and SMC… no effect. Did not made the permission check yet.

Has anyone had an issue with the Last Software Update for Lion 10.7 causing a system to be non-bootable? As of 12 June 2012?

I recently did a Software Update of OSX 10.7.4 (on June 12, 2012). It was on an iMac 27" Mid 2010.
After the Update, the system froze on a grey screen, the update failing. The mouse was still active, but the system was otherwise frozen.
The keyboard Caps Lock light would not respond. After waiting 15 minutes, I did a Power-Off by holding down the power buttone.
Upon reboot, the system gave a "grey screen of death" with a lernel Panic, noting the following was on the screen.

I downloaded the latest panel for Adobe CC, but whwn I try and install it I get msg saying the file does not have a valid signiture.

Has anyone had any issues with the most recent update?

I just did the latest software update for my Apple TV, and now the little light is blinking fast, and the only picture on the screen is of the Apple TV with a white cable leading to the iTunes icon. Any ideas what's going on with my Apple TV? I tried unplugging it, but it didn't change a thing.. Any ideas or suggestions on the way ahead are much appreciated!

The microUSB cables are fairly common... most portable electronics today use them for file transfer/charging.
If the user does not own one, they can be purchased from most retailers fairly inexpensively.

trying to to connect VPN , but I get this messag, "could not validate the server certificate".
I am trying to connect to Oracle VPN.

Has anyone found a solution for this yet? I am still getting the could not validate server certificate error. I have tried importing the entire certificate chain as well as importing each individual cert in the chain. My certificate works perfectly with the cisco vpn on my pc.
This is my first experience owning an apple product, and I am very disappointed with the customer support that I have received. I tried calling the help line and no one would even attempt to answer my question. I was then told that the Mac "geniuses" wouldn't know either and that I may be able to find an answer on the message boards. Yes a number of people have had this issue in the past, alas you are not the first.
You should test with another cable or in another outlet to make sure its neither of those, if not probably take into an apple store.

HT1363 after pressing Menu and Select, when the Apple sign appears, I immediately press select and play/pause, but again the red X sign appears. so it does not go to Disk Mode. Has anyone had this issue? I would be grateful if you could tell me what to do

The red X has appeared in my Ipod Classic Screen. Apple support tells me that I need to first put it manually on disk mode. to put it on disk mode I ought to press menu and select buton togeher, when the apple sign shows up, hold select button and play together.

I was able to call the iPhone support line this morning. The Apple rep stayed on the line with me for about an hour until he was sure the new phone would ship out. For $199 plus $29 for expedited handling I was able to get the replacement ordered with overnight shipping. Since the replacement doesn’t involve ATT&T I have no reason to suspect any further delays. Kudos to the Apple rep that helped me straighten out this mess.
It’s a shame that AT&T cares so little for their existing customers. Not only did they try to sell me the same phone for $499, they outright refused to help me. They also lied to me on numerous occasions and strung me along for close to three weeks for something that only took an hour to complete with the Apple rep.
I filed a formal complaint against AT&T through the Better Business Burrow as well as requested a review of our cooperate contract with AT&T. Our company currently has over 3000 phones with AT&T and there contract comes up for bid the end of our fiscal year (this October). We will be giving it heavy consideration before we consider renewing their contract.
I doubt that any of that will matter to a company that cares so little about their customers, but you never know.

Suggest that you do a Google search for the "guts" of your model/generation iMac. See what the "guts" are made of and post back your findings.

Has anyone had an issue with FindText not scrolling in Acrobat X?

I wrote some code for Acrobat 8 using C# that used AcroAVDoc 's FindText method to search for a particular phrase so that I may find the page the text it was on and its location on the page so that I can insert an image at that location. This worked great, the FindText method returned true when it found the text, scrolled to the page it was on and selected the text. In Acrobat X, I can not reproduce this. It finds the text but does not scroll or select.
Has anyone had this issue? If so, how did you resolve it?

SlideShow in iDVD has a 99 photo limit - more than this and all sorts of error occures.
One can have more than one SlideShow on a DVD = X times 99 photos.
or assemble SlideShows in a movie editor (no limit at least not under 650 photos)
(only limit is Time in iDVD (movie time + MENU time --- 60 min or 120 min on SL-DVD and about twice on DL.-DVD )
I use
• iMovie up to HD6 - or -
• FinalCut any version
As they will give a better quality than iMovie'08 or 09 or 11 can do.

You are probably correct. I tried all different variations to test it. As long as I quit each document separately, i.e., red dot it, I seem to bring up only one document after that whether I click on the document itself or open it within pages. The same is true with numbers.
Two more questions:
1) can you turn off the "resume" feature? If so, how? I could not find a way to do it.
2) why the "save a version" feature in pages? What happened to the old "save" and "save as" features?
