Has anyone heard anything about iWeb being developed for iOS?

I'm certainly hoping this is the case!

No, and Apple never provides such info either.
Best to tell them you want it here:

(Note that the OS X version has not been updated in quite a long time now)

  • Has anyone heard anything about 2.0.1?

I've read some reports that the folks from BGR claim to have found Apache server logs making reference to 2.0.1 but not much else. Has anyone heard anything more definitive on the topic?

Likewise, no problems with 2.0. Yes, there are a lot of posts about problems. There are a lot of sick people in hospitals, also. That doesn't mean that the entire population is sick. If more than even a tiny percentage of the 6 million iPhone users had problems with their phones these boards would shut down from overload.
This is not to say there are no real problems, but that it is a small minority that has them. People with no problems don't go to message boards just to say "I have no problems".
I'm not saying the problems aren't real, but rather than wait for Apple to produce a 2.0.1 that might or might not fix the specific problem you are having try to do a little troubleshooting. Even it it's an Apple problem you can probably fix it yourself.

  • Has anyone heard anything about the next N86 FW?

It has been nearly 3 months since the last maintenance release, v21. The major update, v20 was released a long time ago. Since then, I haven't even heard of any rumour or info about the next FW update for the N86.
Has anybody here heard anything or knows anything?

Unfortunately Nokia's software update plans are well-kept secrets and aside from occasional leaks and some exceptional circumstances (e.g. letting people know that fixes are on the way after the recent E75 debacle) nobody outside of Nokia really knows what's going on. We can't discuss it on this forum anyway, what with it being a secret.

  • Does anyone know anything about U2 being downloaded for free to everyone with iTunes?

I am wondering about my iTunes account, I heard a whole album was free to everybody with an iTunes account. I apparently got the whole album downloaded into my iTunes account without even realizing it, and it charged me money, so I'm wondering can I get my money back for free because I got charged when this album got downloaded to my iTunes. The album was by U2, and I didn't want to get it or even get charged the money for it, so I'm wondering about this, can someone answer me about this if you know anything about it, thank you.

If you mean the Songs of Innocence album, it's free. If you got charged for it or got an unwanted charge for anything else, click here and contact the iTunes Store staff.

  • 01/06/12 I am waiting to have movies in the cloud. Has anyone heard anything??

I have bought a lot of movies from Itunes and lost them when I had to reinstall Windows 7. I did not take the time to make a backup and I am hoping Apple will put movies on the cloud. Has anyone heard any recent news about this and doesn't Apple realize that people would buy more movies if they didn't have to worry about losing them??

First of all - if anybody did know - they could not discuss it on this site since I'm pretty sure they would be violating a non disclosure agreement with Apple - if somebody actually knew. Any other knowledge would just be rumored or speculation and that is also prohibited on this site.
Not being able to redownload purchased movies has nothing to do with Apple not wanting to offer the feature. I'm pretty sure that It has to do with the movie studios not wanting to grant the rights to download the movies again at no cost. It really is a decision that must be made/approved by the movie studios.

  • Has anyone heard of the replacement process program for the ipad?

Just spoke to a specialist that told me that apple was starting a pilot program that repairs ipad screens. Has anyone heard of this?

These are the only options Apple lists as available for iPad service:

  • Has anyone heard anything definitive?

It's been a week since the OS4 update now, and my 3G is pretty unusable. I've lost all my data and my phone won't restore or sync, so I have no contacts, no email, no messages and empty apps. My phone is behaving weirdly too, I keep getting texts through in a block rather than when they are sent.
I've been waiting patiently for a solution to be posted, or a new update that will help everyone that seems to be affected.
I'm really fed up with it now. Just wondering if anyone has heard whether or not they are actually doing something about this problem.
If I've lost my data, I can live with that, but my phone was fantastic a week ago and now it's useless. That's awful and I can't seem to get in contact with Apple (I'm in the UK) without paying for it.
    Thanks for anyone's help.

Apple has a history of just letting things like this blow away in the wind....
    a) Remember their Bluetooth headset for the iPhone? I went through 8!! of them through Applecare until I got one that worked...a few months later they were poof gone from their stores with no notice, apology, acknowledgement that they were no good.....
    b) Remember the yellow screens al ot of people had on their iMacs? Nothing was done for a majority of them and the problem still exists (for my brother and father at least who were turned away by Apple three times) and the problem was swept under the rug......
    c) Remember when the Time Capsule was coming out and they advertised that you could backup to AirPort drives, then the feature mysteriously went away a few days before product launch.
    d) MORE RECENTLY: how about Steve Jobs stating "not all features" were going to be available for the 3G? He never mentioned that it would bog down most 3G iPhones and make them relatively unusable. And people please, please don't comment about how your 3GS is working just great, we're talking about the 3G here.
    e) oh, MORE recently: how about iPhone 4 handsets that lose reception when you hold them. At least Apple UNOFFICIALLY commented by stating that you're holding it the wrong way. STILL no official announcement, because they expect this to just go away like everything else.
I would suspect that the 3G debacle will just be thrown under the rug like others in the past....don't expect an apology from Apple....oh, and EXPECT all the fanboys out there to say stuff like, "you did it at your own risk" or some such nonsense.
Do yourself a favor and google about how to rollback the operating system to 3.1.3. . . there's a few posts in here that have the information. You won't be jailbreaking your phone. You'll be glad you did it. I did and the phone is blazing fast the way it was when I bought it 2 years ago (Oh yeah fanboys, guess it's obsolete now? )
    **oops....see above about lifehacker**
Let's see how long it is before this post gets deleted.......

  • Developing for IOS with flash on a mac

    Hello,
Lee Bremelow put up a good starter's guide on his blog about setting up development for IOS with flash on windows.
Can someone help me with a similar introduction to doing the same on a mac?
Been looking for one with no luck.
    thanks,
    romit

    Hi Duncan,
In the Publish Settings window, in the HTML tab, at the top
of the window under the "Template" option is a second option:
"Detect Flash Version". Check this box. The AC_RunActiveContent.js
file will contain a couple of functions that will test the user's
plugin version. If it doesn't pass the test then the html page will
show a message telling the user to get the Flash plugin and a link
    to the plugin.

  • Has anyone heard definitely that Apple has stopped supporting anything but IOS 7 for FaceTime?

Has anyone heard definitely that Apple has stopped supporting anything but IOS 7 for FaceTime?

No such announcement has been made.
From the various posts on the forums, it seems users on various devices and versions of iOS are having issues, even those with iOS 7.

  • Has anyone heard about hotspot shield

has anyone had anything to do with hotspot shield and is it safe

It's a public VPN service. The point is to prevent other people at a hotspot from seeing your network traffic. It will do that, but the people who run the VPN server will see all the traffic, and moreover they will know your identity. How much do you trust them?
With or without a VPN, the traffic all ends up on the open Internet eventually.
If you connect only to secure websites (such as this one) and other secure services, the content of your network traffic is protected anyway.

  • Has Anyone Heard About This Story?

I'm just wondering how many people out there have heard anything about this story regarding alleged US spying on UN Security Council members.

It's a huge story internationally, but there is silence in the American papers.

  • Has anyone heard about updating my brand new mac to a Intel mac?

Imagine my dismay when two weeks after buying a new mac, they introduce the intel chil and Ilife 6! Has anyone heard of Apple upgrading us poor saps?

Well, I had gotten an iMac G5 just after Christmas, and it was still under the 14-day return policy, so I exchanged it for a new one.
However, it is extremely unlikely that they will replace yours if you've had it for more than 2 weeks.
    Sorry...
