Has anyone imported HVD to the new ipad 2 ?
Can the ipad 2 import HVD video or high quality video from a DSLR camera or Video camera and not have to compress it ?
l dont need to edit it on the ipad but viewing it would be nice. Plan is to download it to my mac when home.
isn't 3G also cellular ?
Yes...but the new iPad will connect to 4G wireless networks. Faster....whether you need dditional speed is a personal decision. The new iPad also has the "retina" display.

No, it's not. Tap an hold on the message you want to forward. Tap on "More" in the pop up box. Tap on the foward arrow in the lower right. Edit as neccessary.

I've ordered a new iPad 64Gb which will arrive early April. My hobby is making music, so does anyone know yet if the new iPad (3rd generation) will support a USB microphone plugged into Garageband via iPad's USB Camera Adapter? I am hoping to use such a portable setup to record live performances of voice & acoustic instrument.

John.When in doubt, try it out. I bought the Apple camera connection kit & used it to connect my Blue Snowball usb mic to my new iPad 3rd generation. It works just fine. I made some test recordings in GarageBand on my iPad 3 using my Snowball mic. They sound great.

Has anyone had experience with the new moire slider under the adjustment brush in LR4?
There's a new moire removal tool under the adjustment brush in LR4. In the near future I expect to have photos that contain moire patterns. Has anyone used this tool yet? I'd like to get an inkling as to how effective it is.
There is an example of moiré on the Nikon Imaging site for the D800E.

I was able to reduce the moiré significantly, but not eliminate it with the Lightroom 4 adjustment brush. I haven't found any software solutions that can completely repair moiré. The Lightroom 4 feature seems about as good as any I've tried.

Is anyone having problems with the new ipad staying connected to wi fi
My new Ipad 4G + WI FI keeps losing the connection to the internet. I have to continuously type in the password to our WI FI. Is anyone else having this problem? I didn't have it with the Ipad 2.

Has anyone had issues with the new Mac Pro computers and the Adobe Application Manager?
We just purchased a new Mac Pro and transferred everything from the old computer to the new one. Now we are getting Adobe Application Manager errors and it wants us to download Application Manager. That leads us to the Adobe Installer that encounters the following issues
Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem. But that doesn't work either.

I'm really irked with this. Been mucking around with the stupid thing for hours now.
Nothing was wrong with it until it suddenly decided to stop working, it wouldn't play tracks and Itunes wouldn't recognise it, hadn't missed a beat up till now. Sifted through the Support site for an answer and getting told I needed to update Itunes and update the Ipod software, ***?? It was working fine before. Me thinks Apple have inserted software in ipod to force users to update to newer version of Itunes. Anyway, ever since updating to the latest Itunes, the Ipod is back in action, but it is trying to tell me that half of my mp3s are corrupt (see error -69), rofl, um no, it's your stupid software Apple, I'm off to by myself a decent MP3 player without the bloat software. -
Has anyone had issues with the new iTunes download?
Unfortunately, I was one of countless folks that encountered issues with their iTunes on the previous download (mine did the whole choppy, skip thing whenever I tried to play music). I was able to rectify that with a suggestion posted here (NOWOOL was the author and many thanks by the way).
That said, I was wondering if downloading the new iTunes would be worth it? Would appreciate some feedback. I notice that my new IPad (3rd generation) will not stay connected to the power cord at all, I'm not exagerating, if I plug it in and browse the Internet without fail it will become unplugged and I will have to push the plug back in (Ba-beep). Ive actually grown to despise that sound when you plug your iPhone or iPad in because it reminds me of how much money I spent on something that PHYSICALLY will not charge while I'm using it.
I know the problem with it holding a charge while in use, I get it, the screen is amazing and it takes a lot to run the display, however, it is unacceptable to me that I can't even keep the thing plugged in while I'm using it. I can not even leave it on my Cal King bed overnight because I will wake up in the morning to find that the plug has been jiggled loose in a corner, so it's still attached but not making a connection thus not being charged.
I love the 4GLTE from Verizon and I love the iPad, but I'm actually using my 1st generation IPad while I am at home so I can leave my new $900 iPad on a table to charge free of incident so I can use the 4G while I'm away from wifi during the day. I have been getting more upset about this because I can not even use the Griffin extended cord to charge the iPad and be far from the plug because only the original apple sync/charge cord will have a better shot at staying in. Absolutely none of my non apple cables will stay in the iPad 3 while having it in my hands.
The plug is at an angle, unlike the first iPad, not sure about the iPad 2. Please let me know if they have same issue.
If anyone else is having this problem with the Gen 3 iPad please let me know because I'm tempted to do something about it with apple and I'm hoping that I just for some reason have a bad cable receiver or something and maybe I can get a replacement and enjoy the iPad as I had expected to. There is no reason why I should be even using my first iPad and I have friends that want to buy it but I am not selling it because I'm unable to sell it because I can't handle the new iPad while it's plugged in, that is ridiculous if it's a common issue so please let me know!Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. Over the last week or so I have been trawling the internet looking for references to weak wifi signals on the Ipad2 and was staggered by the sheer quantity of people who seem to have identical issues, not just with the ipad2 but also with the new ipad. What annoyed me most from reading the reams upon reams of comments made on the Apple community forum is the fairly large number of people who seemed to believe that 'these' people were either just moaners and wingers or else they must have something wrong with their router set-up rather than a serious fault with their ipad and it seems all because there ipad in question works like a dream.
Obviously I can only speak from my experience, and that is, I have an ipad2 32GB with wifi, purchased about 6 months ago and it works like dream with a good 2-3 bar wifi signal through 2 thick stone walls over 30 feet away. My router is a standard one supplied by my broadband supplier compatible with all 'g','b' and 'n' equipment. However, over a week ago now I bought second hand genuine ipad2 16GB with wifi from a close friend who has just purchased a new ipad3 to replace his old ipad2 (had it for over a year so no longer under warranty). When I started it up downstairs from my router, where I always use my other ipad2 which has a very strong wifi signal, I discovered that the new secondhand ipad2 I had purchased couldnt find a network signal at all. So after doing network resets and all other 'fixes' on the device recommended, I took it upstairs to my office where the router is based and found that the device could now locate the network, but the signal was lost over only 12 feet from the router!
I quizzed my good friend about this issue and he informed me that it has always been like this since he first purchased it and he never thought that it was a fault, it was just the way it was. When he first aquired the device he did think at the time that this distance was poor, but thought nothing of it as he didnt have any other ipad to measur ethe signal strength against, and as his router was in his living room anyway he nothing of it. Fair enough.
So, there we have it. One ipad2 with a very good wifi signal and another ipad2 with a very poor wifi signal running off the same router, both with the same IOS 5.0. ?
As well as all of the other isues that customers have picked up on, such as 'death grip' (which I must say does appear to happen, but personally i dont think that this is a serious issue if you are aware of this issue and have a strong signal anyway), my experience seems to be a good example of a 'duff' wifi ipad versus a 'great' wifi ipad', an issue confirmed by complaints from a fairly large number of customers who have also reported the same or similar weak wifi signals with both the ipad2 and the ipad3. So, as this shows the weak wifi signal is a very real issue it seems on a batch of ipad2 and 3's, which to my logic is obviously a hardware issue on a batch of early ipad2's and not a software one, otherwise all ipad's would suffer this problem! So, is it a faulty antenna or a faukty network card in an early batch?
So, the bottom line now is, of course, firstly, how can I get Apple to fix my other ipad2 when the warranty has run out? Any suggestions anyone?

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

Does anyone has a problem with the screen of the new ipad? (there's a part of the screen which the color in it is "very" bright) and when I move the aluminium part of the smart cover when it's attached to the ipad the colors change!! Help!!!
I'd take it into my local APple store and have them look at it. There may be something wrong inside your device.
