Has anyone in the community faced this problem??

While watching a video on my iphone 4s with 3g connection (sitting in my car with the engine shut off)
for about 30/40 minutes (and after disconnecting the cellular data/3g) when i tried to start the car I found
to my horror that my CAR BATTERY has completely drained off.with help of a friend I managed to recharge the battery and
rode back home.
Since I was very perplexed by this I decided to experiment.Yesterday I watched another video the same way
and believe me or not the CAR BATTERY had drained off.
Normally it starts fine the next day morning after overnight garraging, and also after I park it for nearly 8/10 hrs.
during working days.
Any light shed on the matter will be greatefuly acknowledged.

iPhone battery is rated at about 1500mAhr. Car battery at about > 40 AHr. So in half an hour the phone has drawn about 0.75 AHr. Hardly enough to flattena car battery so your claim is impossible

If all of that stuff checks out - and iTunes is telling you that the apps have been downloaded to the iPad - try this.
Connect your iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. Right click on your iPad name on the left side of iTunes under devices and select Transfer Purchases from the pop up menu. Then sync with iTunes again. Don't eject the iPad yet. If you still don't see the apps on the iPad - click on the Apps Tab in the iTunes window on the right and see if they show up on any of the iPad screens. If they do - make sure that all of the apps are selected (checked) to sync - (checkmarks in the boxes next to the app names) - check to make sure that the Sync Apps heading is checked and as well and then sync again. You may have to click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes if the apps were not selected to sync.

Pay no attention to iinami, the amount of replies to people saying their handsets must have been jailbroken everytime iTunes throws out an error is tremendous. (Clearly you don't need to have any real knowledge to get to level 3 on these forums, let's hope apple's geniuses know a lot more than some of their customers.)

Try this:
Wipe Cache Partition - DROID RAZR / RAZR MAXX by MOTOROLA
Performing a wipe cache partition will remove any temporary files that may be causing an issue with the device. All personal files and settings will not be affected by this option.
Power the device off.

By "hard reset" you mean hold down the Home and power buttons until the iOS device restarts, correct?

Following the most recent IOS IPhone update our Iphone calendars, contacts and messages have all merged. This problem has never happened before. We all use the same Itunes account as a family and one AppleID. Does anyone know the cause of this problem?

We have 4 Iphones. As a family we have happily shared the same ITunes account and one AppleID. After the most recent iPhone IOS update all our contacts and calendars have merged and we randomly receive some messages that one of us has sent to another contact.
This is causing chaos.
Can anyone help me with:
1. Has anyone experienced a similar problem recently?
2. The records to the individual phones have not been saved been saved separately. After this merging of all the data into one composite record, is there anyway to reverse the change and restore the phones to just their individual records?
3. I guess that the cause may be the common AppleID. I have tried to create my own AppleID but my personal email address is already linked to the existing AppleID so I am blocked from setting up a separate AppleID in my own name. Does anyone know how I can get around this block?
4. Would it be better to create a separate Apple ICloud address for each of us as well? How do I do this?

I have a Model - MacBook Pro Laptop and the screen recently turned the colour grey, giving me no visibility or access to the unit.
Has anyone had or seen this problem before? Can it be fixed? I had a repair guy from my local Mac Store take a look at it - he said I needed a whole new screen and top of the computer, but this didn't fix the problem. I took the unit home unrepaired, and a week later it was all of a sudden working fine.
What is happening with my Laptop? Once this happens (grey screen) does it mean that it's going to become a chronic problem?

It's kind of difficult to diagnosis your problem without a visual clue, because there is a (mostly) software based "gray screen" at boot issue.
But if you got the screen replaced, took it home and now it works, why the repair shop didn't get it working before it left the store is beyond me.
Unless the repair shop is a authorized apple reseller/repair, I wouldn't have taken it to them, and of you did, they should have fixed the issue right away.

Has anyone in the community successfully OR NOT implemented Simpana backup?

We purchased Dell Comm Vault wth Simpana MML. We have been fighting with it trying to get it installed for a couple of months. We finally got a Simpana engineer on site and we are actually able to run sbttest successfully, but when we try to use the libobk.so to make an RMAN backup to CV disk, it fails.
We have spent hours and hours on this (probably in the weeks now) wasted trying to get it working. We are 'supposed' to move our production to our new OEL/RAC environment in @ 3 weeks, BUT if we don't have backups running we miss that date.
Anyone out ther using Simpana? If so, did you have problems getting it working and WHAT was the magic bullet to make it do so.

This is likely not going to come as a shock to you but
1. Dell has so far not been purchased by Oracle
2. These forums are not an appropriate place to deal with non-Oracle specific questions
3. One phone call or letter from your corporate attorney to Dell will get the problem fixed in 24 hours (and if it doesn't tell them to take it back and purchase something else).

Has anyone with the iPhone had a problem with 7.3 itunes?

I'm curious to know if people who bought the iphones have had the same problems with 7.3 itunes that seems so prevalent on the discussion board (like getting the error message in saving the library file, or frequent crashes).
I'd love to know, because if not, then it seems as if 7.3 is designed specifically for the iPhone (supposedly the iPhones only works with 7.3), and that may be why the rest of us non-iphone consumers are having a miserable time with the upgrade.

I have an iPhone and since I've upgraded to 7.3, iTunes constantly stops responding and I've had to force quit. I've reinstalled iTunes countless times and deleted the iTunes preferences in my library file and while this works for 1 or 2 times, it soon does it all over again. Help!

Has anyone noticed the subtle change this week?....

I figured that the "coaxing" (is the word I choose to use) by the store to upgrade to the latest version of the store would one day come. I noticed this week that the option to buy iTunes plus songs (or whatever thet are called) is now not an "option only" if iTunes plus is offered. Now, it appears one must upgrade to buy a song or album if not already running the latest store version when plus is offered.
For the time being at least, I will keep running older versions of the store that have time and time again proven to be more reliable and less risky (I am fully aware that a lot of people would choose to disagree with me on that assessment). I only buy music and I am currently passing on the advantages that these plus songs are the same .99 and at a higher bit rate (the risks in my opinion do not currently outweigh the rewards, even though one day with continuing improvements to each new store version, I will eventually make a judgement call and upgrade).
Realistically, one day in the future, I believe everyone will almost certainly have to upgrade to buy anything in the store for technological and security reasons which only makes logical sense (I will accept that fact when the time comes). It looks like that is the direction that we are slowly headed in, starting with this subtle change.

You probably have a lot of notifications turned on in Settings -> Notifications. Turn off those that you don't really need.
Turn Bluetooth and Cellular Data (if you have it) Off when not needed.
Under Setting -> Privacy -> Location Services -> System Services (at the very bottom) turn Off Location based iAds. Turning off Genius for Apps may speed up the App Store.

Has anyone solved the Apple Map App problem of no map data?

I have a blank screen unless zoomed way out when continents are visible in very pale green. When zoomed in, there is nothing visible at all, except the blue blob showing where I am, and oddly if I turn on traffic, then some traffic symbols appear. It is impossible to remove then re-install the app, so is there anything else I can do short of restoring the iPhone?

I would recommend closing any open applications in multitasking and restarting the device. If unfamiliar with multitasking, I have included a screenshot on how to process an application close. Test the results after processing these steps.

Has anyone tried the Zeiss Screen Eraser on their iphone 5?

Carl Zeiss company is known for fine optical gear. When I tried locally to find a flat-weave microfiber cloth for cleaning my iPhone 5, all I could find was a kit with the cloth and a Zeiss Screen Eraser, made for cleaning LCD screens and touch screens. The Zeiss Screen Eraser contains a soft sponge moistened with a solution that does not contain alcohol or ammonia. The pictures on the package show what looks like a Kindle or iPad, a Blackberry-type phone, and a laptop. So far I have resisted trying it on the oleophobic screen of My iPhone 5, using only the microfiber cloth, which by the way is high quality, which you would expect from Zeiss. I would very much love for Apple to test the Zeiss Screen Eraser and see whether it is safe to use on iPhone screens. In the meantime, has anyone in the community been brave or foolish enough to test it themselves? Thank you.
