Has anyone migrated from 10.7 Server to 10.8 Server using Drupal?

I migrated my server, which in addition to hosting a couple of traditional web sites also has a multi-site Drupal 7 installation, and now I'm regretting it big time.
I had to futz with the settings to get the traditional web sites back on line, but the Drupal sites broke hard. Couldn't even load the user login screen, nothing but streams of error messages.  Now I'm in the midst of trying to revert to Lion Server again (including having to re-partition and re-install Lion to get rid of the 10.8 recovery partition) and keeping fingers crossed I can get back to what was working. Still a couple of hours to go on the Time Capsule restore.
This on my year-old Mac Mini Server that came with Lion Server installed.
Has anyone out there successfully migrated a mult-site (or even solo) Drupal 7 server to Mountain Lion Server? If so, what did you do to get your sites back on line?
Thanks in advance.

Yep, I've migrated from 10.7 to 10.8 with Drupal 7.
I've got 4 web sites running under 3 different domains.
I run stock os x apache and Postgres and php 5.4 (php-osx.liip.ch) and MySQL via homebrew.
Server.domain.com = os x server wiki site
Domain.com.au is my drupal / os x Postres site
Crm.domain.com.au is my Sugarcrm / MySQL site
Anotherdomain.com.au is a simple HTML page.
Wiki site worked out of the box
Drupal and sugarcrm broken
HTML site worked.
1. To fix the Drupal site, I just deleted from server websites panel and then re-instated it. That fixed that.
2. Set debug level to debug in apache2/httpd.conf
3. Looking at the apache error log, found that sugarcrm permissions needed to be reset and the cache directory needed to be writable by _www.
4. Fixed that and now up and running.
Hope that helps.

    Is there anyone experienced with this problem?

  • Complications migrating from Snow Leopard Server to Mountain Lion Server.

    I'm migrating from Snow Leopard Server to Mountain Lion Server. The article "OS X Server: Upgrade and migration" (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5381) says
    "Make sure that any DNS or DHCP servers on which your server depends remain running during the upgrade"
    This advice is reinforced by the details of the article "OS X Server: Steps to take before upgrading or migrating the Open Directory database" (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5300).
    As the server I'm migrating from provides these services it will need to be running during the migration process. This would seem to limit my options to doing the migration from a Time Machine backup (or, making a seperate clone of the server's drive and connecting it externally to the new box)
    My main concern is the seemingly inevitable clash that is going to occur on the network as the new server takes on the roles of the old one - while it is still running.
    What are my options here ?
    This is my second attempt as on my first try I did the migration from the TM backup with the network down - and none of my local network users or their home directories were migrated, although the settings for the mount points were, but there were no actual directories where they pointed to!
    Clear directions on how to procede would be VERY MUCH appreciated
    Thank you.

    Moving from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion means first installing the client (non-Server) version of Mountain Lion and then install Server.app this means that for at least part of the process you will not be running DNS, DHCP or Open Directory.
    If you are going to end up using the same DNS name and IP address after the change then an approach you could follow would be as follows.
    Destroy any Open Directory replicas
    Archive your Open Directory Master (to make a backup)
    Note down your DNS records in case they get messed up
    Export via Workgroup Manager your users, and groups (you might not need this but better safe than sorry), make sure you do not include the diradmin account
    Keep a full back of the server (you should always have backups)
    Note down your DHCP server settings in case they get messed up
    Note down any other service settings
    Install Mountain Lion
    Install Server.app
    Install Workgroup Manager (extra free download)
    Run Server.app
    Make sure settings for services are as much as possible the same as before
    If your lucky that may be all you need to do, otherwise...
    Restore Open Directory archive, if your lucky that will be all you need to do, otherwise...
    Make new Open Directory Master
    Run Workgroup Manager
    Import users and groups you previously exported
    You will then have to set passwords for each user as these are not preserved via Workgroup Manager export
    When I did this, I was also being forced to change all my IP addresses so I had no choice but to use Workgroup Manager to export and import accounts.

  • Has anyone gone from a camera similar to the SX200 to the G15 or G16 and what have you thought?

    I have the SX 200 and am not satisfied with the reaction time.
    I am looking into the G16 but am reluctant to spend $450 on it
    not really knowing if it is worth it.
    Has anyone gone from a camera similar to the sx200 to the g16 and was
    it worth it?
    thanks
    Karen

    I assume you're shooting his swing which is a form of action photography. If I'm right the best way to improve your results is to improve your technique, which costs nothing but takes a bit of thinking & practice. Thinking because you need to understand what settings fit the situation & how to set the camera to them. Technique comes into play when it comes to holding the camera STEADY, which is rarely done while using the LCD to frame the shot if hand holding. I don't own either of your choices but have a G9 which I've used for years but mostly as my underwater camera but even it would be an improvement over your SX200. The SX200 has a "slow" lens (f3.5 max aperture) while the G16 has f1.8 which is twice as fast (requires half the light all other settings being the same) which means under the same lighting conditions the G16 will use a shutter speed that's twice as fast as the SX200 would. Right now you only get 1 FPS (frame per second) while the G16 can do from 6 to 12 FPS depending on settings & having good light. More importantly it has a viewfinder (electronic) which allows you to hold it against your face to frame & time the shot AND keeps it more stable. You would however loose some of your current lens reach because the G16 only has about 1/2 the telephoto reach.
    If you take the time to read these articles I've wrote for a couple of other forums I belong to it might help you understand why things work the way they do & why developing technique is the key to better photos.

  • Changes in webservices while migrating from Oracle App Server to WebLogic

    Dear All,
    I am developing webservices for a external users.
    I am new to webservices.
    We were using Oracle Application server to deploy the webservices.
    The architecture was as mentioned below
    1) A interface class
    2) A Implementation class for the above interface class
    Now we are planning to migrate from Oracle application server to Weblogic Application server.
    I have few doubts about the migration,
    1) Will there be any difference between Oracle specific WSDL and WSDL created by Weblogic ant build command
    2) As our external parties are referring our SOAP requests ans responses for their implementation, i am concerned about the changes in the SOAP request and response formats. Will there be changes due to application server change?
    Oracle app server - Oracle 10g application server version 9.0.4.0
    Weblogic appl server - Weblogic application server version 10.3.0.0

    Now after creating the WSDL by Weblogic workshop. The previous request XML is not working.
    Can someone help soving the below query.
    We are in process of upgrading the Oracle 10g application server version 9.0.4.0 to Weblogic application server version 10.3.0.0. In the old application server we were using axis specific jars to create the WSDL for the webservices. There are so many third party applications which are accessing our webservices, so we can not change the wsdl, clients accessiong the webservices and the corresponding formats of request and response xml messages. So we need to deploy the same wsdl and for the same we need to deploy axis on to weblogic 10.3. Can you please help us regarding the same.
    Qns
    1 - If we can deploy the axis on to the Weblogic 10.3
    2 - Can we use the same WSDL in the Weblogic server too.
    3 - If we use the same WSDL, will it help us to keep the client accessing the webservices, the request xml format, response XML format the same as it is with Oracle 10g application server case.
    4 - Please share how to deploy axis on to the Weblogic 10.3 application server.
    5 - Please share how we can create EARs that can be deployed on the webserver using axis specific jars.
    Thanks and Regards

  • What the best way to call twenty tuxedo domains from one weblogic server use WTC

    I need to call twenty tuxedo domains from one weblogic server use
    WTC. the Service be called in the twenty tuxdo domains are same, do I need to
    write twenty EJB in the weblogic server to call the same service? who have good
    adea to deal with this problem?

    Hi,
    I have a question on the second case. When the client doesn't care of which
    Tuxedo domain it is hitting. What happens if one of the Tux domain is down ? What
    happens to the client request to that domain ?
    Another question is lets say i have a Tuxedo configuration as MP mode( Multi
    machine mode) how does WTC load balance between the Tuxedo domains.
    Thanks,

    Hi xcjing,
    One way to handle your needs is to use local service name to remote
    reservice name translation. For instance,
    (in 6.1,6.0 WLS)
    <T_DM_IMPORT ResourceName="TOUPPER1" LocalAccessPoint="WTC"
    RemoteAccessPointList="TUX-DOM1">
         <RemoteName>TOUPPER</RemoteName>
    </T_DM_IMPORT>
    <T_DM_IMPORT ResourceName="TOUPPER2" LocalAccessPoint="WTC"
    RemoteAccessPointList="TUX-DOM2">
         <RemoteName>TOUPPER</RemoteName>
    </T_DM_IMPORT>
    <T_DM_IMPORT ResourceName="TOUPPER3" LocalAccessPoint="WTC"
    RemoteAccessPointList="TUX-DOM3">
         <RemoteName>TOUPPER</RemoteName>
    </T_DM_IMPORT>
    etc
    With this configuration if your client have to call "TOUPPER" service
    in
    TUX-DOM1 then you code your client to call "TOUPPER1" and the request
    will be routed to TUX-DOM1. The same way for request has to go to
    TUX-DOM3, your client calls "TOUPPER3" service and WTC will route it
    to
    TUX-DOM3. In this remote name translation you may have to write 20 EJB
    although they are almost the same. However, if your EJB can analyze
    your client input to decide which Remote Tuxedo Domain to send the
    service request to then you probably only need one EJB.
    In the case that your client does not care which remote Tuxedo Domain
    provides the service then adding
    <T_DM_IMPORT ResourceName="TOLOWER" LocalAccessPoint="WTC"
    RemoteAccessPointList="TUX-DOM1">
         <RemoteName>TOLOWER</RemoteName>
    </T_DM_IMPORT>
    <T_DM_IMPORT ResourceName="TOLOWER" LocalAccessPoint="WTC"
    RemoteAccessPointList="TUX-DOM2">
         <RemoteName>TOLOWER</RemoteName>
    </T_DM_IMPORT>
    <T_DM_IMPORT ResourceName="TOLOWER" LocalAccessPoint="WTC"
    RemoteAccessPointList="TUX-DOM3">
         <RemoteName>TOLOWEr</RemoteName>
    </T_DM_IMPORT>
    etc
    Will load balance your client "TOLOWER" service request among your 20
    remote Tuxedo Domain.
    However, there is a bug in WTC that causes the Remote Service Name
    translation functionality not working properly. It is fixed in the
    upcoming release of WLS.

    hi xcjing,
    You don't have to write 20 beans or deploy 20 beans because there
    are
    20
    remote Tuxedo TDomain you need get the service from. Of course, WLSand
    WTC does not prohibit you from doing it though. Whether you need20
    beans or not depend more on you architecture.
    To access 20 remote Tuxedo Domain from one single WLS with singleWTC
    you can configure 20 remote Tuxedo Domain in the BDMCONFIG (6.1,6.0)
    or
    from the console (7.0). You import 20 services one from each remote
    Tuxedo domain. You write one bean, and deploy one bean. Your WLS
    clients will be able to access THE ejb, the EJB will access the WTC
    service, and WTC will load balanced the service requests among the20
    remote Tuxedo Domain.

    Dear All,
    i have intergrated an external content server to SAP using SAP archive link. All the scanned document are there in Content server and corresponding entries are done in SAP.I can search and view document using tcode : OAAD
    Please tell me steps for "how to attach a document from external content server using Generic Object Service "
    Scenario is :  For example when we change any Master records or create a new PO, or do some financial transaction then i need to attach the supporting document which is there in my content server connected  to SAP.how do we manual attach a Document in SAP using GOS.
    Do we need to do some special configuration to use GOS .please give the steps from initial.
    Thanks

    Hello,
    Check your configuration of document type assignement to required business document - object type, Archivelink table, content repository in OAC3 transaction.
    Goto respective business document > Click on GOS > Create > Store business document - Here you can see defined document type with desctiption. Double click on this the assign your document to this business document. Save it.
    This will help in attaching the document to your required business document.
    To verify you can check the archivelink table or by transaction OAAD.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Has anyone migrated existing file libraries into Final Cut Server?

    My company currently uses Virage to archive thousands of video clips. Currently we only archive proxies and keep a corresponding tape on the shelf -- it's a big library. We want to move away from tape and keep all the clips on a centralized server but we need to be able to move all the existing files over to FCS via an automated process. The clips we keep in Virage has 5 or 6 fields that we would need to migrate over and the thumbnails are mpg2. Has anyone had any experience migrating huge chunks of data over to Final Cut Server? We ditched our Avids and Unity and purchased FCP. Final Cut Server makes sense. (By the way...for what we paid for Virage, I could have purchased Final Cut Server and a Porsche to drive it to the office.)

    My company is implementing FCSrv as a video database. Moral of the story: I did everything from scratch. I took the time to log and digitize all the tapes, creating a file folder structure that corresponds to the tape label. I can say from my experience, you need to organize and have all of your original media ready on the drives that you want the files to live on and THEN upload to FCSrv. I left those drives as Edit In Place devices, created FCSrv assets, and then turned the drives off. The drives only come back on when I want to copy over any of the source files. Also, FCSrv wants to create everything from scratch - its own proxies, thumbnails, and poster frames. Currently I believe the only metadata you could map / migrate over would be fields associated with FCP Log and Transfer media. Another workflow hint I have is to find media that has the same (or most similar) metadata and upload those at the same time (choosing create individual assets). Also, there is a great workflow on the forum for bulk metadata changes that helped me out a lot : http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7522555
    Every time I call Apple anymore they try to sell me on purchasing the custom workflow services from an engineer so you could look into that for specific help with your current metadata fields. Otherwise, I'd suggest hiring some interns
    Good luck!

  • Migration from MS SQL Server to Oracle 10g

    Hi,
    In our application, we are planning to refresh data every one hour from MS SQL Server to Oracle 10g. Can anyone tell me what approach can be followed?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Faizal MK

    Hello,
    migrations can be done with the Migration Workbench that is included in the SQL Developer: http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/migration//workbench/index_sqldev_omwb.html
    But your question sounds more like a replication of data than a migration. Please read as a starter the following note in My Oracle Support (former Metalink):
    Note 283700.1: How to replicate Data between Oracle and a Foreign Datasource
    That note describes ways for the replication in both directions. Please let me know whether this is helpful for you.
