Has anyone run labview under XP Embedded

has anyone had any experience using labview with XPe for wireless data acquisition?

Hi track,
Here are some other posts on the same topic:
Windows XP Embedded
Windows XP Embedded
NI currently does not support LabVIEW on embedded XP operating system.
XP Embedded systems allow users to choose desired OS components to be installed and hence do not guarantee the presence of all the components required for running LabVIEW. So if you have the required components, you may be able to work with LabVIEW but as of now, we do not support it
Instead it is recommended that people who wish to use embedded XP and LabVIEW consider using LabVIEW RT or LabVIEW for Linux instead.

That crash appears to be casued by the Facebook plug-in.
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts or Users & Groups on 10.7 and 10.8), make a new Library in that account, import some shots  and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.

when downloading the trial, has anyone run into download issues?

I remembered we have weird permission issues at work. Somewhere between my Home Windows 8 machine(horrible permissions issues with network), my home mac, email and my work computer, some permission got out of whack. The workaround for this was copying the file to my desktop, back to the exact same spot on the network. This resolved all issues.

  • Has anyone experienced Labview 8.2 crashing when attempting wire a cluster filled with object and task references?

I am getting a complete shutdown (crash) of Labview 8.2 when placing the wiring tool over a cluster that is filled with task and object references.  The crash occurs on all computers I have attempted it on and happens throughout all VIs in all classes that distribute multiple references throughout the VI using a cluster.  The entire project I am developing is programmed in GOOP.  Has anyone experienced anything like this?  I have provided a screen shot of the place where the crash is generated.  Let me know if anyone has any insights.

There are several known crashes with LVClasses. One of the easiest
fixes is to load your application into memory and then hit
ctrl+shift+click on the Run arrow of your top-level VI. Then do
File>>Save All. You might also try selecting that wire (with the
selection tool -- use the Tools Palette to explicitly select a tool
other than wiring) and deleting it and then rewiring those terminals.

  • Has anyone used Labview to drive a Geckodrive, or similar step and direction servo/stepper drive? Thanks! -Kyle

I am running Labview 7 with a 1200 DAQ card.

    KBClark,
It is indeed possible. You can find out more information by checking out this link: Motion Control Software. Perhaps someone in the community has specific experience and can be of more assistance. Good luck!

  • When listening to Fireworks by Katie Perry the base notes sound raspy and distorted even though the eq is set to flat and have tried 2 studio monitor headphones.  Has anyone run across this and how did you fix it?

When listening to Fireworks by Katie Perry the base notes Sound raspy and distorted even though th eq is set to flat.  I have tried 2 studio monitor headphones when listening and the raspy sound appears with both.  The distorted sound from the downloaded song from itunes doesn't show up when listening to it on the computer. No other songs that have been downloaded from CDs onto my ipod classic seem to have this problem.  Has anyone else run across this and how did you fix it?

  • Has anyone run Photoshop after installing Yosemite?

I'm considering installing Yosemite in my Mid-2012 MacBook Pro 15"/Retina and I'm sure that most of the Apple apps will work fine, but I'm not so sure about the third party applications.  My most important 3rd party app is Photoshop CS6.  Has anyone installed Yosemite and had good luck running PS/CS6?

    Hi !
Running CS5 after upgrade to Yosemite. I had to install "Java for OS X 2014-001" and after this install, all working fine !

  • Has anyone ported LabVIEW to VxWorks 6.6?

I was wondering if anyone had ported the LabVIEW runtime library to VxWorks 6.6 using microprossesor SDK. My final target is a motrola 6100 VME SBC running VxWorks 6.6.
If someone has done this....have you been sucessful in implementing Queues? Timed Loops? Clusters?

    Claire,
Upon some more debugging it is clear that a problem exists upstream of these individual functions which is casuing the error.
The problem is that we are unable to pass data between subVIs using clusters on our
    embedded (VxWorks) target.
The exact same VI will function properly under (1) native
LabVIEW windows environment and (2) windows console, however it will not
function properly on  the VxWorks target. An example of the output differences
between target types is provided below:
    Windows Console (expected behavior):
    --TYPE before SubVI--
     4
    --Words before SubVI--
     100
    --TYPE inside SubVI--
     4
    --Words inside SubVI--
     100
    --TYPE after SubVI--
     4
    --Words after SubVI--
     100
    VxWorks Target (incorrect data passed):
    --TYPE before SubVI--
     4
    --Words before SubVI--
     100
    --TYPE inside SubVI--
     4
    --Words inside SubVI--
     0
    --TYPE after SubVI--
     0
    --Words after SubVI--
     0
I think that there is some alignment issue which is causing the
data to be dropped, though not positive. I have a zipfile that I could email you with our project and the generated code. Could I email it to you?

  • Has anyone run Maya 7 on their MacBook Pro/iMac Core Duo/Mac Mini Core Duo?

    Hi,
I plan on getting a MacBook Pro to replace my Powerbook 1.25 GHz.
I cannot find any info on a universal binary for Maya and was just wondering if anyone has actually tried it on an Intel based Mac.
If so, how is it? Is it like a G4, faster/slower? Does it even install?
I tried looking in these forums and the rest of the internet but couldn't really find anyone who has actually got it up and running on an Intel Mac.
Also, probably worth noting that the only other PPC apps I have tested on a MacBook Pro that are quite resource hungry are Cinema 4D, another 3D app that still takes advantage of dual processors even under rosetta and Google Earth. Both of these apps actually run quite a bit faster than my PowerBook and the universal binary version of Cinema 4D is breathtakingly fast.
Navigating around Google Earth esp. with 3D buildings turned on in New York is very smooth in contrast to the "choppy-ness" of my PowerBook.
Any real world feedback would be superb,
    Thanks in advance!
    Ren

this is from creativemac.com and their 3d benchmark article
    Autodesk Maya
Our Maya tests are also pitiful for the poor MacBook. Maya, like LightWave, has not yet been ported to Intel hardware for Mac OS X. It lost out in every single test to every other piece of hardware. However, if you look at the results of the slightly more powerful MacBook Pro, you can see the potential for Maya on the 13-inch MacBook once it is finally ported.

  • Has anyone run into an issue with their hotmail account being hacked on ios 6 ?

Im noticing that I am getting strange MALIER DEAMON emailsadvising me that my email to whomever could not be sent.I have preiously run into this issue and it turned out my yahoo account had been hacked when I began getting those messages. Has this happened to anyone else?

    Try this:
Go to System Preferences - Bluetooth. Delete the keyboard from the list of devices by pressing the "-" button. Take the batteries out of the keyboard and reinsert them. In Bluetooth Preferences press the '+" button to add the new device. If the keyboard begins to pair, click the word "pair" and type in the passcode. Press return. The keyboard is now paired.
If the mouse is not pairing, try this: shut down the computer completely, unplug any USB mice, then turn off the power to the bluetooth mouse.  ONce the computer starts up again, wait for the pop-up looking for a mouse.  Turn on the power to the bluetooth mouse.  It should work normally now.

  • Has anyone run  Adobe Premiere 6.5 on a Macbook?

    Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has tried out Premiere 6.5 on their Macbook to see if it works- Even if it is or isn't the program you use now. Would appreciate knowing if it will run.
    Thank you

    Hi,
I wanted to clarify something. When I asked about Premiere 6.5 running, I meant the Mac version. I know with if I run Windows on the Macbook, I should be able to use the Windows version of it, but my question was for the Mac platform.
    Hopefully somebody out there knows.
    Thanks again

  • Has anyone used LabView to control a Lumonics JK701H Laser?

I don't want to reinvent anything and was wondering if anyone has interfaced to a Lumonics JK701H laser via LabView. I haven't been able to find any drivers or shared source for this device yet.
Appreciate any pointers to finding information that would help LabView work with this device.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find a driver for this instrument either. It may be possible to modify an existing driver to work with the Lumonics JK701H laser. Otherwise, http://www.ni.com/devzone/idnet/other.htm states a few options to obtaining a driver. Drivers are developed based on demand and popularity so the more requests, the greater the possibility that one will be developed. It would also be beneficial to notify the instrument manufacturer. I hope this information helps.
