Has anyone seen the new Cygnett accessories range yet?

Has anyone seen the new range of iphone and ipad accessories from cygnett.com yet? I just saw some pretty cool looking cases displayed on slashgear this morning from the CES show.
what does anyone think?

Apple just announced an iPhone 4S. Same case, it appears, as the iPhone 4, but the A5 chip and other internal goodness. No mention yet of an "iPhone 5".

  • Has anyone seen the new 2012 iMac in any Apple stores yet?

I was told by an Apple store employee that they would have the new 2012 iMac's in the Apple stores with-in a few days of their launch announcement, back in late October .... here it is late November and the new 2012 iMac's are not yet in the Apple store, for display purposes, here in Rochester, NY.
Last night I was again at the Apple store here in Rochester, and asking about the new iMacs. one of the employees now says they "may be out in December" some time.
I'm very disapponted as a loyal Mac user for over twenty years (and even as an Apple investor). that Apple is announcing the launch of these new products, and then taking months for these products to show up for sale.
I'm starting to think that it won't be until late January that I can actually be able to purchase one of the new 2012 21.5" iMacs ..... i've been waiting years to get a new "antiglare" iMac.
Has any one actually seen one of the new 21.5" 2012 iMacs in one of their local Apple stores, on display yet?

    UPDATE: Dec. 6, 2012
I was just over at the local Apple store loking at the new 21.5" iMac, and to be honest, I wasn't all that impressed. I have been waiting for over a year to upgrade my Mac, and had high expectations for the new 2012 iMac's .... but seeing and playing with one in the store .... the new one's may not be for me.
Most of all I wanted to believe all the talk about 75% less reflections in the new iMac display, but while in the Apple store, I saw no real difference over the previous model ... and if so, it was more like 25% less reflections. Nothing that dramatic, certainly not like the "anti-glare" screens available in the 2011 MacBook Pro. Basically, my understanding is that the new 2012 iMac's use the SAME DISPLAY as the previous iMac models did. It's the LG "LM215WF3" display, same as those in the 2009-2011 iMac displays. The only difference in the 2012 display, is that they took out the small space between the outer glass and the actual screen surface to get the overall display thinner. It still has the basic "glossy glass" cover screen.
The other disappointment was the extremely poor audio sound from the new iMac's built-in speakers. They just sounded so "tinny", even when playing with multiple iTunes "equalizer" settings. Again, disappointing.
Looks like I'll have to research the possibility of buying a Mini-Mac and an older Apple 20" cinema display off eBay. Or pick up a late model 2011 iMac and get the Rad-Tech "anti-glare" screen film for the display (Ugh!).
Being a graphic designer and art director in profession, I just can't understand why Apple has abandoned the "professional" market for these glossy displays in it's iMac line .... or at least STILL hasn't given us an option for a true "anti-glare" display.
Is it just me, or are my observations on the new 2012 iMac being seen the same by others as well?

  • Has anyone seen the NEW 160GB Classic for sale (besides at Apple)?

Amazon is still selling the 120GB.
Perhaps someone is familiar with the typical time delay between when a product is available from Apple and when other resellers made them available.
I have found some selling the OLD 160GB (for about $500).

I was at Best Buy 9/12/09 and got the new 160gb for the same price as the old 120gb.

  • Has anyone modified the new AV video cable yet?

Specifically I want to get video on my Pioneer avic-d3, which has a 4x6 inch screen. It can play ipod gen5 videos but not gen6 (iphone).
My idea is to splice a new AV cable with the existing ipod cable somehow to then route the video to the AV1 component in on the Pioneer. Has anyone tried this yet or reverse engineered the cable yet to see which pins are what?
The easy option would be to just have 2 places to plug in my phone (2 cables) and just switch it as needed, but that seems very primitive. An alternative solution would be some kind of Y cable where my Iphone hooked into 2 cables.

I am not sure that I understand the problem.
Can you simply connect the iPhone component cable connections to your AV1 component input on the Pioneer? If not, can you describe your goal with more detail.
Video cables are susceptical to noise - thus any "splicing" is likely to cause problems. Further, the Apple AV cable reportedly contains a chip which enables the iPhone for video out.

  • Has anyone seen the new UK Advert for Siri?

I just saw a new advert for iPhone 4S and people using Siri.
I could swear they were using English accents and they quoted a road here in England that is local to me (Brook Street)
Does anyone have any ideas on this? If there is an advert for it it's got to be released soon, right?

The ad is called Farmer's Market. It is not just a UK ad, but it was used in Japan as well. That was an appointment she set up. Just tell Siri you want an appointment. It'll ask for the specifics, you specify when, and where.
So now, later in the day, when she's heading to her meeting, she asks Siri where it was and it told her. All Siri did was read back the information the owner gave to it. Try it, works like a charm.

  • Has anyone seen the new 'killing hazard' redirect virus/trojan?

I have been getting since 9/26 a new redirect-style virus/trojan. It masquerades as a "popup" antivirus. Any attempt to kill the popup (click on the right-corner exit, etc) starts the virus-scanning operation of the fake anti-virus. I have flagfox, which says that the page is chinese. I must kill Firefox to eliminate the page. I have run malwarebytes with a completely updated database, with no malware detected.
Full text for the popup window
    Warning!
On your computer detected the malicious code.

I had the same problem and found out that the virus changed my router's settings: instead of the correct setting DNS Address "Get Automatically from ISP", the virus changed it to a specific DNS server: 213.109.69.44
I realized that something must be wrong with my router when all my devices (including my iPhone) were being redirected to the fake anti-virus web page when connecting to the internet through that router.

  • Has Anyone Found the New Version of the  iPod Radio Remote?

    Hi,
Per iLounge, Apple released an updated ipod radio remote that has the most current version of Apple's ipod headphones as opposed to the shortened ones. I've checked on-line, Best Buy, Circuit City Compu World, Micro Center with no luck. I aslo tried the bricks-and-mortar Apple store...they looked at me like I had ten heads. Apparently they have the same sku as the old set.
I posted a question to Apple Support, but no response yet. Has anyone found the new version anywhere?
    Thanks

Thanks. I've submitted requests to Apple to find out if or when they will be shipping the new remote, but they have not responded within their promoted 24-hour timeframe. I'll try to order from Apple directly and hope I get the new headphones too!
    Thanks

This sounds like a virus or malware program that has made its way onto your computer.  I would ensure you have the latest virus definitions on your computer and run a thorough (complete) scan of your system.  If this doesn't work, I would suggest  you use Microsoft's Malware Removal Tool.  You can download it at the link below.   Hope this helps.

  • Has anyone gotten the new 640x480 videos to work?

Has anyone gotten the new videos to transfer to their ipod? Mine keeps saying that they are not supported by ipod. Also does anyone know what bitrate for video is now supported?

On Tuesday I updated my 8 month old video iPod with 1.2. This morning I successfully transferred Mulan I downloaded off iTunes and played it out to a normal TV. I did not see any compression artifacts that I would normally see from the previously downloaded TV shows such as Battlestar Galactica. This probably means that it has the more updated resolution.

  • Has anyone bought the new ATI/MSI RS480M2-IL s939 motherboard yet?

Has anyone bought the new ATI/MSI RS480M2-IL s939 motherboard yet?
    If Yes, How is It?
This seems from what I've read at least to be a good or even great overclocker, It's too bad that It isn't a full ATX motherboard, Maybe If sales are good enough MSI will use this chipset on a Full size ATX motherboard one day. Of course It does have an Integrated ATI video card in It and It have as much as 128Mb ram for the pci-e built-in video or You could add a separate pci-e video card in the 16x slot. It's $94.00 right now on pricewatch.com of course.

Ordered one for a home workstation from ZipZoomFly.com. Also picked up a 3000+ and already have 1GB of Adata PC4000. Will be utilizing onboard video until I have the need/desire to upgrade to PCI-Express video card. Hard drive will be a new Maxtor 250GB ATA-133 16MB Cache that I picked up from CompUSA for $99/no rebates :D
I will post my thoughts after the system is together, should have parts by Thursday/Friday.
Well at least You aren't buying from Logic Circle Systems That place will ship incompatible ram that is Intel approved and say then It is You cpu that is at fault, I should know I'd bought zoom3's motherboard and some Wintec ram(Samsung chips ending in TCCC) and They said they were tested and AMD approved(They aren't, Wintrec is Junk on an AMD Platform), I now have a Corsair CMX512RE-3200LL Dimm and My cpus work fine at PC3200 speeds and above, Logic Circle Systems said was at fault. Logic Circle Systems is a bunch of Liars and are not trustworthy.

  • Has anyone received the new update for the X6?

has anyone received the new update for the X6 with the updated browser? what is the firmware version?
    Greece Nokia X6 RM-559 v40.0.002

    I agree with Vinimutta!!
*slide to unlock with digital clock & sms & missed call notification
    *support for homescreeen widgets
    *qwerty keypad in portrait mode
every single update so far was pathetic attemp to fool us and make us happy.
there is no change at all from v30,31, and 32. exect the slightly smaller font for text input in v32.
nokia promises alot in the new update, (browser, smiler and map)
hope it leaves up to the expectation and include the portrait qwerty, homescreen and lockscreen.
Why is it so hard to implement?
slide to unlock and homescreen is already available in c6, and the portrait qwerty is available in 5800.
its no like we are asking for impossible like continuous autofocus for video recording!!

  • Has anyone installed the new firmware?

Has anyone installed the new firmware yet? And have you noticed any issues with it? I'm weary of installing Apple's firmware updates after how terrible the last one was (I'm sure everyone remembers the hdd hangs). Also, Apple's trackpad update was terrible as well for the first few weeks it was out.

Because I was one of the users affected last time.
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=10416721#10416721
Not just a tiny amount of people. Lots of people had this issue. Firmware downgrade is what solved it, until Apple released an upgrade of the upgrade. I just wanted to check if anyone was having issues with this firmware before I upgraded.
And I'm not sure why people are getting so offended. It's a simple question of "did upgrading to the new firmware screw up your computer", and requires a yes or a no answer. The last two times I installed an update it messed with my computer, so it makes sense for me to be weary. You would be as well if you were in the same situation. And I have not yet heard anything about this firmware, but I haven't had time to check out what people have said. I'm in med school and I'm usually fairly busy.

  • Has anyone tried the new MS Oracle DataProvider ?

    Hi all.
Has anyone tried the Microsoft issued Oracle .Net data provider? I am not fond of switching horses in midstream (have been struggling with ODP for a few weeks). I do not like the ODP for these reasons...
    1) Documentation is really non-existant/useless especially where hueristics and 'gotchas' are concerned
    2) it is a HUGE install (why I have no idea)
    3) some things simply do not work (like my recent rants on trying to return varchar2's from stored procs and functions).
Is the MS any better ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    1) There is a pdf doc and integrated help which comes with the ODP.NET. There are a few gotchas which could cause some hair-pulling moments. Sometimes it helps to read the same doc several times to really know what to do.
But instead of wasting time reading the doc, the samples cover most of the typical cases. (i think it includes your varchar2 output bind case).
    2) The huge install is due to Oracle Client 9. The provider needs several dlls beyond Oracle.DataAccess.dll and OraOps9.dll. There are some other oracle standard dependencies also. MS provider for oracle will have the same issue (I think they need oracle client install also).
There a few post where the `Instant client install` is going to solve that.
But the thin client (like JDBC thin driver for oracle) is still (IMHO) the best solution for the huge install problem.
    3) See my reply in the other post. (try the sample also)
Finally, which some other posters have mentioned before: Good luck looking for help for MS's provider when you are stuck.
    Arnold
