Has anyone seen this error "window.cpp line 11518"

I have this error in my application and I am not printing or using an event structure. Apparently this error code has been found with printing front panels or using an event structure. I am using a case structure and all other cases are working properly. Once I get to this case labview displays this error and crashes. I deleted the case and the case structure and rebuilt it but I am still seeing the same problem. In this case there are two subvi's when the second subvi is executed this error is present when the second subvi is in highlighted execution the error is not present. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks.

After troubleshooting this problem more, I found that in the second subvi under vi properties, show front panel and close after if originally closed were not checked. Once checking both of these options the error did not occur anymore. Also this error was not present when the subvi was open in the background.

  • Has anyone seen this error when trying to Save As...

In Acrobat X, after revising hundreds of links, I go to Save As... If I choose PDF... I get this warning instead of saving... "This document could not be saved. There was a problem reading this document (14)."  I have not tried all of the Save As options but the Save As - Reduced Size PDF... produces another error without saving.
    Has anyone else seen this?
I have figured out a work around - but it's still annoying....
    (Here's the workaround BTW)
First of all the SAVE works so you can save the work you've done.
In Bridge or Explorer make a duplicate of the file. Rename the file to what you want. Go in an make further revisions particular to that copy, Save and close. Now you have your Saved As...file.

I should add that the pdf in question has a lot of interdocument links/buttons and a lot of links going to another pdf document. Both files are kept in the same folder.
I'll try to answer any other clarifying questions.

  • Has anyone seen this error opening MS Office applications?

Yesterday I went to open MS Word 2008 on my Macbook Pro (now running Lion OS) and received an unusual error which I have not seen before. Word had been opening and working fine on previous days since my lion install so I do not think it is compatibility issue, but the description of the error has me more worried about potential hacking via Wifi.... maybe I'm paranoid but I'd appreciate some advice.
" Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac HSE cannot start because Microsoft Office is already in Use
An office program is being used by Rodolfo. Your installation exceeds the number of installations permitted by the license agreement. Click More Information to go online to learn about Microsoft Office licensing. "
I have only one installation, so my first question is, does anyone know what causes this error and my second... does anyone know who or how the name Rodolfo may have been displayed in this error message?
Strangely, although I had tried restarting Word several times in the same location I was receiving the same error, but when I went home that evening I opened it fine. Today I have returned to the same cafe to use wifi and Word has opened without errors.
Please forgive my ignorance but I would love some advice from someone who can shed light on this?

    Hi,

    Reynod-
A couple of things you could try:
    1. Close the view which has the error - in your case it is the Composite Applications view. Close any other views which have an error. Then to re-initialise your CAF perspective by going to Window -> Reset Perspective. You have to be in the CAF perspective when you do the restore.
    2. If (1) does not work maybe you should re-install NWDS.
    Cheers-

  • Has anyone seen this error message: "Disc burner or software not found"?

Two weeks ago I successfully burnt a CD of Word files. Yesterday I put in a blank DVD and got a formatting error message. I didn't think too much of it (thought I had bad discs).
Tonight I tried to burn a CD out of iTunes. I got this error message: "Disc burner or software not found"
I suspect this is not good.
Can anyone help? Details on the DVD drive below.

No moving or renaming files, except for I deleted a file related to Adobe Acrobat to remove a toolbar thing. But nothing other than that.
Are there specific files I should be looking out for?

  • Has anyone seen this error message before?

    Hi
We have a server running Windows 2008 R2 which we have built as a demo environment for P6 R8.3 EPPM. It was upgraded to R8.3 SP1 late last year, and has just been sitting idling in between being used for product demonstrations.
Recently I decided to let Windows Update apply a bunch of patches to the OS and the SQL Server instance running on the box - today when a colleague and I logged in to EPPM we kept getting a popup window every 10 seconds or so in front of the main portlet windows, headed "message from webpage", with the message
    Logged messages:
    message='unable to initialize AdfAgent' level=SEVERE error=message;'AdfIE8Agent' is undefined description:'AdfIE8Agent' is undefined number:-2146823279 name:TypeError at hh:mm:ss
This happens if we access the application using IE; it does not happen if we use Chrome - can anyone offer any suggestions what might be causing it? There is nothing related to AdfAgent or AdfIE8Agent in the Oracle KB at the moment

    Sachin
On the server where P6 + WebLogic are installed, it's IE 11
On my client PC, it's IE 11 as well
I am pretty sure that that the problem has only started since IE11 appeared, but that may be wishful thinking. I have tried clearing everything from the browser cache, with no difference in behaviour. I have also tried setting the emulation mode to IE8 but that didn't seem to make a difference either.
I have restarted the P6 web app several times, and cannot see any errors in the WebAccessLog.html except for a occasional minor one related to Struts - certainly nothing that seems related to ADF directly.
Whatever the issue is, Chrome is not affected, and I have now installed it on the server as well where it is working fine.

  • Has anyone seen this error? Final Cut X

The managed object model version used to open the persistent store is incompatible with the one that was used to create the persistent store.

You can link to feedback from the Apple FCP page.
Which version is this and what are your computer specs? You might try making a new user and seeing if that works.

  • Exception setting connection dictionary: null has anyone seen this error

I am migrating webobjects off of solaris and onto linux servers. The console starts up fine, but when I try to start any of the app instances, i get the following error

It seems you have multiple tnsnames.ora files. You can set TNS_ADMIN to point to the oracleDB home and it should be ok.

  • Has anyone seen this error message before? If so, any suggestions?

Happens whenever the user tries to add a signature to a PDF.

    Hi,
I don't recognize the toolbar on the left side of the screen. Is there a third-party plug-in installed. If so, close Acrobat, move the the plug-in out of the plug_ins folder located at \Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\plug_ins (don't delete, just move it somewhere else), restart Acrobat and try to sign. If the crash doesn't occur then it's being caused by the non-Adobe plug-in.

    Hi Mickey,
Have you updated MS DLL's before proceeding with installation ? (for that you need to run program R3DLLINS.exe usually located in the SAPINST\NT\I386\NTPATCH folder)

  • Pop-up window with an attempt to open a URL - has anyone seen this?

I was browsing a website for music lyrics when a suspicious pop-up appeared, along with a very small browser window (about an inch square on the screen). This has happened twice even though I have pop-ups blocked.
The pop-up had the Safari icon and looked like a standard mac window. The text contained the following:
    <edited by host>
Antivirus 2009 will perform a quick and 100% free
scan of your computer for Viruses, Spyware and Adware.
Do you want to install Antivirus 2009 to scan your
    computer for malware now? (Recommended)
There is a cancel and an OK button at the bottom.
The small browser window appears to be contacting the onlineprivatescan.com URL
I did a force-quit because I did not want to click either button.
I reset Safari, and ran the DNSChanger Removal Tool
from macupdate, but it didn't find anything. I have not loaded codecs from any websites and I had just completed the latest Apple updates for OSX, Quicktime and iTunes before this problem occured.
Has anyone seen this? Is this serious? I've never had any problems with Safari before this.

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger automatically checks your downloads for malicious software and content that could harm your system or collect information from your computer. You can read more about that here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2340
If you feel you need added protection, read on:
SecureMac has introduced a free Trojan Detection Tool for Mac OS X. It's available here:
    http://macscan.securemac.com/
The DNSChanger Removal Tool detects and removes spyware targeting Mac OS X. Called DNSChanger Trojan and also known as OSX.RSPlug.A Trojan Horse, the software attacks users attempting to play a fake video file.
Upon attempting to play the video, the victim receives the following message:
“Quicktime Player is unable to play movie file.
Please click here to download new version of codec.”
Upon running the installer, the user's DNS records are modified, redirecting incoming internet traffic through the attacker's servers, where it can be hijacked and injected with malicious websites and pornographic advertisements. The trojan also installs a watchdog process that ensures the victim's DNS records stay modified on a minute-by-minute basis.
SecureMac's DNSChanger Removal Tool allows users to check to see if the trojan has been installed on their computer; if it has, the software helps to identify and remove the offending file. After a system reboot, the users' DNS records will be repaired.
There may be other ways of guarding against Trojans, viruses and general malware affecting the Mac. A white paper has recently been published on the subject by SubRosaSoft, available here:
    http://www.macforensicslab.com/ProductsAndServices/index.php?mainpage=document_general_info&cPath=11&productsid=174
    Also, beware of MacSweeper:
MacSweeper is malware that misleads users by exaggerating reports about spyware, adware or viruses on their computer. It is the first known "rogue" application for the Mac OS X operating system. The software was discovered by F-Secure, a Finland based computer security software company on January 17, 2008
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacSweeper
On June 23, 2008 this news reached Mac users:
    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/06/23/mac_trojan/
More information on Mac security can be fund here:

More on Trojans on the Mac here:
    http://www.technewsworld.com/story/63574.html?welcome=1214487119
The latest news on the subject, from July 25, 2008, is:
Attack code that exploits flaws in the net's addressing system are starting to circulate online, say security experts.
The code could be a boon to phishing gangs who redirect web users to fake bank sites and steal login details.
In light of the news net firms are being urged to apply a fix for the loop-hole before attacks by hi-tech criminals become widespread.
Net security groups say there is anecdotal evidence that small scale attacks are already happening.

  • Has anyone seen this display problem?

I even changed my video card and still had the same issue? has anyone seen this or know how to fix this issue?
I tried to show a screen capture but didnt have any luck but the issue is alot of my icons are showing pink lines on them and when in certain application and safari the pictures are showing up all pixelated with pink and green pixels instead of displaying the correct image? is it possible the AGP slot is bad? i just upgraded to 10.5.8 hoping to correct the problem but no luck. Also this is a Power PC 1.8 ghz.
    Thank You

I wasn't notified that you asked me a question or that there was a new post on this topic. I should have been, that bugs me.
    Anyhow... Mr. Ah
The problem that some people, mostly with a certain video card, were having was when they updated from 10.5.4 to 10.5.5. For many of them the problem went away when they went through the hassle of reverting back to 10.5.4.
Did you +just recently+ update to 10.5.5? If you have, then their fix is for you too, going back to 10.5.4. If you have had 10.5.5 installed for a while now, and this just started happening, chances are good that it is your video card, or perhaps something affecting it like dust and dirt like DP says above.
If you have another start up drive, firewire or internal, and you had enough space on it you might consider installing a previous OS 10.5 on there and start up from it. If the problem went away you would know it's 10.5.5. Perhaps even if you started up from your OS disc the problem might go away and again you'd know it was 10.5.5. Apple was made aware of the problem on some machines and said they were going to come out with a fix, but I don't think they ever did.
Post back and say what the situation is, especially if you just recently updated to 10.5.5.
And post back with what kind of G5 you have, look in the "About this Mac" window.
Your card may be dying, but on the other hand it might be as easy as pulling it out, blowing it out, and putting the card back in again.

  • Has anyone seen this MacBook Pro 15" 2008 problem before?

Hi. My MacBook Pro has developed a fault whereby a horizontal line appears on the screen, the mac freezes then a host of vertical lines gradually appear on the screen until it is obscured. Something similar happened in May last year and Apple charged me over £300 to repair it, replacing the 'mother board'.
I have so far taken it into the Apple shop twice in the last week (a two hour round trip). Both times they have opened it, cleaned it and declared it fixed. This time it lasted about an hour before happening again, although this time at least I've been able to restart it.
Has anyone seen this before, or have any advice about how best to proceed?
I have put a video of the symptoms here:

Thanks for reading. This is my first post so apologies if I've rambled a bit!

Ah yes school boy error there out of frustration and discontent..
My issue is with music/apps/films etc not downloading from iTunes / App Store.
They initially fail and message is displayed stating unable to download / purchase at this time, yet if I retry it says I've already purchased (?) or alternatively I go to the purchased section and there they are waiting with the cloud symbol..
However some items get frozen in the download window and cannot be retried or deleted. Message appears stating to tap to retry, but even if you stole every bath and sink in the uk you'd still not have enough taps.
I post here as the iTunes guys are useless in there 'help' and have only advised posting here or phoning apple, at my expense, to explain a problem that could be rectified by forwarding my original email to a techie. However the tech team apparently don't have an email address as they're from ye olde Middle Ages..!
    Anyways I digress.
So I tried sync to pc, but instead of showing the file as ready to listen/use/view, the iCloud symbol shows and I'm back to square one as the item is unable to download..
At frustration station waiting for a train from pain...
All my software is up to date, and had all worked fine prior to the last big iOS update that resulted in all the changes in display and dismay.
