has anyone submitted a successful application for the up-to-date program? I submitted my application 2 days ago and when I log on it's still under review. Has anyone had difficulty with this? When they finally get back to me am I likely to be offered iworks? - I've fulfilled all criteria, I just wonder whether they expect me to jump through any more hoops

Your frustration is understandable. Leaving an ambiguous "October" on the shipping date is doing them no favors. If I had to guess, I would say that they weren't sure how much time they would be able to devote to manufacturing the iPod Touch vs. the iPhone 5 since they didn't know what the initial demand would be for the iPhone, and they do share some of the same hardware and components. Considering that we are seeing statuses change at all, this does seem to indicate that Apple is at least now moving along with the process. I sincerely hope they communicate accurate shipping dates soon, as even if that date is later in October, at least it will be a solid date.

Has anyone created a device driver for the DG101 Programmable Delay Generator?
I am wondering if anyone has written a LabVIEW driver for the DG101 Programmable Delay Generator third party device?
I have looked at the instrument driver network and there is nothing listed there. The board comes with the source code for the device as well as a gui to run under windows but I am working on the PXI-8196 embedded controller running a RTOS so the .dll that comes with the board is not compatible. I have been on the phone and email with NI over the last 3-4 weeks trying to figure out how to import the .dll, how to wrap the .dll, and how to create a new .dll. I spoke with someone yesterday and they told me that I would have to write a register level interface driver to work with the board and that it is very difficult for even the most experienced person. They suggested I outsource it but I was just curious, seeing that this board belongs to a very small community of programmable delay generators, that someone may have written a driver that is available.

What am I supposed to do for the Up-to-date program?
I read somewhere a couple weeks back that I'm supposed to call Apple support or something to acknowledge that I qualify for the program (I bought my new 2011 13.3" Macbook Pro from Amazon, whom I believe is an authorized retailer, on June 6th), though I can't find any official statements from Apple regarding the appropriate procedures. All that I could find was mention of 30 days after the purchase of the mac and 30 days after the release of Lion. I'm not sure if the 30 days from the date of purchase is nulled or not, due to the fact that Lion hasn't been released yet. Could one of you be so kind as to enlighten me? Also, I am deeply sorry if I posted this in the wrong category, I thought it was the most fitting.

I didn't know it was 30 days for the up to date program
I bought a brand new MBP with lion the 5th of july. I had a flight to take on the 6th and I was in a hurry as it was to replace the MBP that was stolen to me a few days ago. Bad news with my student budget and I wanted to wait for the release of the new Mountain Lion.
The salesman at the Apple Store told me that I could get a free upgrade to Mountain Lion but I was abroad for 2 months and I didn't have the time to check this from Asia.I only wanted to download the Mountain Lion version when I noticed this 30 days limit.
Big companies like Apple won't make an exception, but I'm wondering if someone had the same issue, was not aware, and could get the free copy..
After all I had the right to get it no I don't see why 30 days or 90 days is a big deal for Apple..Call and ask: Contacting Apple for support and service Of course making an exception for one person means they should make an exception for everyone. That may make no difference for Apple, but it would for those who did not get the upgrade. But then, it's all about you, isn't it?

Has anyone not been able to get the iTunes installer to load properly and get a message like this: This iTunes installer is intended for 32 bit versions of windows. Please download and install 64 bit iTunes installer instead. I have tried repeatedly to get this to load, I have uninstalled iTunes completely and reinstalled and still get the same message. I have windows XP and a brand new ipod touch which I am trying to load.

you should not be getting that many crashes and unlike others here i don't see any strong reason to go to 7.2 other than to get to 7.2.1. i very strongly suspect you have dodgy AU's (probably around 218 of them) and if you have a look at your crash log it should show you why you are crashing. if you see an AU in the crash log it is telling you it is causing headaches. my guess is that upgrading is not going to solve your problems.
just so you know, if everything is running as it should be logic will hardly ever crash. post up the crashed thread from your crash log next time it happens. also make sure that you have the proapp kit latest version.
i know its deeply frustrating when things are going pear shaped. everyone but everyone feels that the stupid thing should just work and gets the over-whelming feeling that apple is supposed to make products that just work, that we paid good money for that level reliability and if it's going to act like this we might just as well have stayed with cheaper PC's. reality is, once you start throwing thrid party's into the mix it is really hard to keep control of reliabillity. if you took logic back to zero 3rd party plugs and in built audio, it would take fanatical fundamentalist to crash the thing. (having said that - i reckon i could) -

Thanks for your offer to help. I don't really need assistance in figuring out how to communicate with the device in LabVIEW at a transport layer. I'm just trying to take inventory on what's already been done, at a messaging protocol level, that could be useful as a reference or starting point.

Has anyone got Python to wok on the N96?
I have downloaded and installed the latest edition 3rd 1.4.4 i think. it goes on the phone without any problems.
However when trying to use app that use python specifically pyPiow at the moment the app goes on the phone but nothing happens when i try to open it!
is it somthing i am doing wrong, where go i install the pictures, or the apps for that matter, can the apps go on the mass memory where they are now or do they have to go on the very small phone memory?!
does current python work at all on the n96

cheersI managed to get it to work, you have to install two files
the first for the actual python script files.
the second for the user interface.
you might have installed the user interface, but without installing python, and that's why its not loading up the application, also make sure you install python to phone memory.
On my N96 I installed:
Python for S60 1.4.4
Python script shell 1.4.4
if you get an 'update error' when installing its because you have not un-installed all of the old python stuff, open app manager on the handset and un-install all python relating files
one last thing, install python and the shell to the phone memory (c drive)
