Has anyone upgraded CPS from NW 7.0 to 7.01, 7.1 or 7.2 ?

We had a recent "Health Check" conducted by Redwood, and an upgrade of the Netweaver Stack was one recommendation.  The predicted improvements were better use of memory resources (better Java Garbage Collection), and general performance improvements.
Has that been anyone's experience for CPS specifically?

Hi,
Well it is nothing to do with CPS. However upgrade is always comes with new feature and performance improvement options.
On CPS side, if you upgrade from M.26 to M.28 or M.28 to M.33 then it will make sense to look at NetWeaver version upgrade requirement before undertaking upgrade. This is purely based on pre-requisites but nothing to do with performance, if you are not upgrading CPS.

  • Has anyone upgraded GRCPINW from V1000_731 to V1100_731?

    Hi Experts,
The business would like to upgrade the current GRCPINW V1000_731 to V1100_731. Has anyone successfully upgraded this components?
I have downloaded the media CD51046221, and see the upgrade and install files therein. But the saint tool doesn't see the files when I place the uncarred files into EPS/in. So just want to know if anyone has been able to do so successfully.
SAP also suggests to use the same media and use the installation option instead of upgrade. But when I try this option I get this error:
There is currently only SP04 available on the marketplace but it asks for SP05.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Asad

    Hi Johny,
    Thanks for replying.
I have downloaded and placed the files in EPS/in but it doesn't like it. I used SUM to try to get it upgraded but I am getting the below error which looks like the same as we saw in SAINT:
    Thanks,
    Asad

Has anyone upgraded the Ironport ESA to 8.5.6-074 and had the issues of Raid status showing unknown? After we upgraded our appliances we are having issues with our ESA appliances showing the RAID status as unknown. When we reported the issue to CISCO we were updated there were no issues reported at all. Could anyone please confirm if you have experienced the same issue.

You should see OPTIMAL - meaning the drives in the C170 are in good health/status:

  • I'm having the same buffering issues that other users are having when I try to send a short video from my Iphone 4S to my Apple TV.  Has anyone heard back from Apple on this bug ?

I'm having the same buffering issues that other users are having when I try to stream a short video from my Iphone 4S to my Apple TV
Has anyone heard back from Apple on this bug ?

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    Restart your mobile device.

  • Has anyone upgraded your MacBook Air SSD? Is it possible?

Just out of curiosity, Can you upgrade your SSD? Have any of you upgraded your SSD in your Mid 2012 MacBook Air? If so, what did you use and how much can the 2012 Air SSD take?
    THANKS

This is what I found below on the OWC site. My Macbook Air is 5,2 and it says that it is compatible.  I checked the video and looks pretty straight forward. I am just looking for what people's experiences were and what the outcome was... Has anyone upgraded their SSD to 1TB? Good or bad idea?

  • Has anyone upgraded to lp9 from lp7.2..

Has anyone tried to upgrade from lp 7.2 to lp 9 yet?....did u need the dongle in to do the upgrade or the xskey serial number?...im plannin on getting a new macbook pro laptop and i have lp7.2...i dont want to reinstall lp 7.2 then install lp9..how would i do this upgrade?....i have heard of using the seial number on the xskey to putting in the dongle b4 u install which is correct?..remember this is a first time install on a new macbook pro laptop.

Install LP9. The installer will first ask you for your LP9 serial, then it will ask you to insert your XSkey to authenticate your LP7 licence.
That's it, no install of LP7 is necessary.

  • Has anyone upgraded iPad 2 from iOS 4. to iOS 7?

I need to update iPad 2 from iOS 4.3.4 to iOS 7. Has anyone done this and what problems occurred?

I don't think that the distance from 4.3.4 to 7 is going to be your issue. Remember that the iPad 2 is the oldest device supported by iOS 7, so it may be slow in places.
I don't think I've seen many issues, but you can search here by typing "iPad 2 iOS 7" and see if there's any watchouts.

  • HT204347 Has anyone ever booted from an external drive? System 10X6+

Has anyonetried to boot computer with removable drives? or any body knows?
My super drive broke down. I replaced it with external.  How do you boot from this drive. Pressing "C" is ineffective?
don't have another Mac, so Target Disk Mode is not an option. Any advice ?  I paid 80.00 for the same problem the last time.  I ran this progam bundled with the drive  called DriveGenius to rid my hard drive of binarys (Intel and 64) localizations, duplicates within the system, and what I thought were two systems, a 10X6.8 and 10X63. When the .8 wasn't working right, and I couldn't fix it-or find an answer for it--I figured I would go back to the 10X6.3  But no. I changed it in the system preferences (only the dock responded to commands and the tab bar's secondary files. so I rebooted. Nothing but I blue screen.  I know it doesn't have to be erased, like they did before. for $80.00 and waiting 4 days something they 'fixed' in 20 min?
Thanks for you comments and advice in advance. Thanks for listening.  I'm using the PC I had before, and I'm wondering has anyone tried or heard of using PC to/from Mac?  I have Drive Genius and it boots for both system. The CD?DVD drive is broken here too.  so we're back to the 1 st question

I wonder... Can you use the carburator from your Grampa's wheels on your new car? "No way!", you'll say; it's a whole different ballgame. But you can still use the stereo, the speakers (if not busted) or even  the GPS, right? Maybe the core of the old vehicle (engine & its management, transmission, chassis, suspension) can't be used in a modern car, but many of the accessories can. Same thing here: the newest Macs have the latest from Intel, which is a world apart from processors 2-3 generations ago. And the Operating System that talks directly to the hardware has to follow suit.
At First Start, the Setup Assistant did give you the option to migrate your stuff from the older computer. Were it a Mac, settings, files and compatible applications could have been transferred over (in many cases, even with their registrations or activation codes). Had it been a PC, only files and compatible settings could have likewise moved over. If that wasn't taken advantage of at the time, two options remain for getting the stuff over without too much hassle:
Run Migration Assistant and use that instead. Migrating user accounts and files contained in their Home directories can be tricky if they are named the same as those already on the new Mac, but apps and non-personal files (not in duplicated Home directories) can transfer fine.
Reinstall the OS to redo the First Start.
And FYI, a new Mac from last week will ONLY run the latest Mavericks.

  • I have PR cs6 and my mac has recently upgraded itself from iPhoto where i imported all my photos and film from to "photos" now all of my current project is showing 'media offline' AAAAARGGGH!! now i can't see anything. the audio is fine but everything els

can anyone help me get all of my edited holiday video visible again? my mac upgraded itself from iPhoto where i keep my imported video and photos, to "photo" now all of my current project (and probably old ones as well! ) are showing media offline. how can i get this back seeing the clips on 'photo'?

When you open a project you need to point PPro to the new media location and relink
    >mac upgraded itself from iPhoto
THAT is not good... I am Windows, but at least a Windows update gives ME the option of unchecking an update

  • Has anyone picked materials from one storage location but confirmed TO to different storage location?

The business does not want to use MRP areas to segregate materials between service part and production. What they want to do is separate service parts on deliveries at our shipping storage types (915/916) from MRP view. This requirement is primarily for our international shipping area. We may pick parts for an international shipment and the parts will sit on the delivery - not goods issued because we don't want to invoice - for up to 3 months. During that time, MRP sees the inventory so replenishment is not done in a timely fashion or parts may get stolen from the shipment for a production requirement because the inventory is seen.
Could one solution be to create a non-MRP relevant storage location (say 1200) and place the shipping storage types in this storage location?  Then when the transfer order creates, the system would show the source to be from the MRP relevant SLoc (1100), stype (130), bin (A-01-A), - these are examples - with the destination to be to non-MRP relevant SLoc 1200, stype 915, bin (dynamic using the delivery number) 0080745298? Has anyone had this type of request or know of a way to satisfy the business requirements without different MRP areas? They also do not want to have two transfer orders - one with a 601 movement and one with a 311 movement.
Any known solutions or outside-the-box thinking would greatly appreciated.
    Marla

I don't have the solution, just some critical questions and hints
Even a non-MRP relevant storage location can be warehouse managed.
The stock is shown in any stock list as long it is not goods issued, no matter if it is stored in a
    non-MRP relevant storage location.
Stock that is picked for a delivery is not available for others, it is reserved. A delivery is a MRP element and hence should be taken into consideration in the planning run.
A non-MRP relevant storage location will only solve your planning issues if you move the material there if it is not yet picked  and allocated to a delivery.
Do your thieves really use SAP to check if the stock is there, or do they just see the stock in the warehouse? As said, the non-MRP relevant storage location will not solve this issue since the stock is still visible.

  • Has anyone upgraded the W520 CPU?

I have seen several requests to see if it was possible, and never saw a positive confirmation. Just "it should work". Has anyone here actually done this? How well did it work? Was the fan up to the task?
I currently have the 4270CTO (W520) with the 2620m. I have been finding the dual core too limiting in some tasks (Fallout NV and Diablo 3 for example) and was hoping the 2760qm/2860qm would work out well.  Warranty expires at the end of the month anyhow, so no issues there.

You would need to consult the Hardware Maintenance Manual and see if a quad-core CPU would fit in your "specific" machine. The motherboard and the thermal unit of a dual-core machine are different than the those of a quad-core machine. The thermal unit of a quad-core machine is more powerful. A quad-core motherboard also comes with 4 RAM slots; its circuitry is designed to deliver 45 watts or 55 watts power needed by a quad-core CPU.

  • HAS ANYONES ORDER CHANGE FROM PROCESSING OR GET A SHIPMENT EMAIL POST HERE (VERIZON ORDERS)

If anyone who ordered from Verizon order status change or you receive shipping info post here please! I have seen which I believe are FALSE reports of phones shipping through USPS already but I honestly don't believe them lets clear this up here!

    Leady wrote:
Who care's if someone posted a fake shipment? It's a freaking phone guys, if someone wants to be immature and do something like that then that's their problem. Complaining that your phone isn't shipped yet, or accusing people of putting up fake shipment emails is not going to make your phone get to your house any faster. The only thing we can all do is wait till it arrives at our front door.
You obviously do if your on this forum reading and posting in my threads! I just want up to date accurate info I have heard Sprint and AT&T have gotten some shipment notifications and I would imagine we would too maybe by end of today.

  • Has anyone upgraded to MBP from Macbook..how much better is it?

I currently have a Macbook..1st generation Core Duo, I am very happy with it, has been relatively problem free apart from the RSS (Apple Service fixed this so no complaints). When I bought this it was supposed to be an interim measure that would do until I returned home to the UK after working abroad for a few years afterwhich I intended to then buy either an iMac or Mac Pro. I am doing a lot of video editing (hours and hours of DV tapes to get through!) and was hoping to use Final Cut Express. I have now just found out that I may be posted abroad again so I am now rethinking and considering a Macbook Pro. I really want a good upgrade from the Macbook as although it is a great little laptop for most things I feel that I need a lot more speed, better graphics and screen for the video work. How does a MBP compare to say an iMac, and how much of an improvement can I expect after the Macbook? It would not be impossible to have a desktop shipped to my next post but I am not sure I want to trust the movers not to break it and feel better taking a portable with me, but I have so been looking forward to getting a better spec'd Mac.
What to do...? Will I be happy with a MBP as an alternative to an iMac?

I've just done the same thing you're thinking about doing. I have a first gen Core Duo BlackBook. I absolutely love it. I was in the market for something with the Santa Rosa chipset and beefier graphics capabilities. I was looking at PC notebooks... but I couldn't find anything in the price range of the MacBook Pro that was similarly spec'd and with a similar form factor. The days of Apple notebooks being overpriced are long gone with their move to Intel. Unfortunately... many people still equate Apple products with being over priced. Anyway... I almost "settled" for an HP notebook that was about $500 less than the MacBook Pro. It didn't have nearly the MacBook Pros beautiful svelte form factor... it had an Intel Core 2 Duo 7300 (which is in the high end of PC notebooks sporting the Santa Rosa chipset), it had an integrated GPU (albeit the newer one that is part of the Santa Rosa chipset... better than the GMA950... but not as good as a dedicated solution... especially the bleeding edge nVidia GPU in the MacBook Pro)... I think I almost ordered the thing about a half dozen times but kept talking myself out of it. I finally decided to go with the MacBook Pro. It just seemed silly to go with a PC. With either a MacBook or a MacBook Pro... you're basically getting two computers for the price of one... a Mac and a PC. Getting a PC notebook seemed like a waste of money. I ended up getting the base model MacBook Pro. It was a little more expensive than I was looking to spend at about $2,000... but dollar for dollar, it was the best value out there. Using the Migration Assistant to move my data over from my MacBook was a snap (I was actually surprised at how well it worked). It's faster and cooler. The one issue I always had with my MacBook is that the fans revved up to pretty loud levels when the system was under a moderate load. The MacBook Pro runs nice and quiet... only revving up the fans when the load/temp gets to a level that I would consider it normal to do so. The keyboard is a matter of preference. I like the MacBook keyboard... and I like the MacBook Pro keyboard... I can't say I prefer one over the other. The backlit keys are kinda cool on the Pro... though I don't typically find myself using my computer in an environment dark enough to have the backlighting come on. Another thing with the BlackBook was the finish... those things attract fingerprints like no ones business. The aluminum case on the Pro is great... scratch resistant and not prone to showing fingerprints at all. I also don't worry about my MacBook as much as I used to now that I have my MacBook Pro. I feel comfortable with being a little more rough with it... and I don't worry about washing my hands right before using it each and every time to avoid getting prints on it. I love my MacBook... but I love my MacBook Pro even more. It basically eliminated everything that I had an issue with on my MacBool.

  • Has anyone upgraded to 8GB of NuRAM from OWC?

    Check it http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newer%20Technology/8566DDR3S8GP/
Cheapest 8GBs of ram out there apparently... Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or experiences with NuRAM. It's probably just as good, but they don't offer the money back guarantee on it...
I'll be putting it in a late 2009(5,3) MBP 3.06ghz core 2 duo
    Thanks

Right after the NuRAM first appeared on OWC's web site there was a small flurry of posts about it here from folks who had bought it and returned it after finding that it didn't work. Read this thread (all of it) for the story:
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=11890766#11890766
I haven't seen much more about NuRAM here since that thread appeared. If you do buy, please let us know how it works out for you.
