Has anyone used Sage ACT! with there MAC?

Or is there another software compatible with ACT! Sage made my Apple? Thank you for all your help!

No experience with any CRMs, but several Mac options listed here...

Of which after looking at them decided only this one seemed affordable, not sure how important that is to you, or if it does what you need/want, but...

  • Has anyone used this RAM in there Mac??

    Greetings
have just found some RAM that is Mac compatible
Corsair 1Gb DDR2-667 SoDimm for Apple Mac
and am wondering if anyone is/has used it?? Being Corsair I understand this ram to be of very very good quality but have only ever been using Kingston RAM as recommended from Renaissance (New Zealand Supplier for Apple).
Your thoughts and answer will be much appreciated
    Thanks

Yes I added the same 1GB Corsair back in May 2006 to the stock 512MB. Replace the 512MB with the 1GB then put the 512MB in the other slot. Slide them in untill you feel then stop, then give them a hard shove to seat them into there slots. After you have seated both modules close the ejector clips and replace the cover.

That extra 1GB will make a big difference, you'll love it.

  • Has anyone used an app with the Maverick software to burn iPhoto slideshows to DVD disks that will play on any DVD player?

Has anyone used an app with the new Maverick software to burn iphoto slide shows to DVDs that will play on a standard DVD player?  This probably cannot be a demo app in that the amout of photos on the slideshows is large.
    Thank you,
    Jim

Export the slideshow from iPhoto, that makes a movie of it.
Do you want to use this DVD in a domestic DVD player? If so, then the disk will have to be 'authored' to make it the correct form for that. If you have iDVD then that's the app you use. However, iDVD is no longer developed or distributed by Apple. You may be able to get it on an old iLIfe install disk.
    Other options:
    Burn: http://macupdate.com/app/mac/21992/burn
    Toast: http://macupdate.com/app/mac/6351/toast-titanium
But there are lots of others too. Search on the App Store or MacUpdate

  • Has anyone used iPhone 4s with Oticon Streamer Pro

Has anyone used iPhone 4s with Oticon Streamer Pro

I downloaded it today. Doesn't seem to work. It gives you to the option of playing from "Logic Pro" or "Logic Express". When I click "SET" to set the project to fire, all of my logic files are grayed (assuming that means they are not an option)... Waste of 20 bucks.

  • - it doesnt want to drag? Has anyone used this software with imovie?

I am trying to transfer vhs movies to my harddrive using videglide  I have successfully recorded it and saved it onto my desktop but I cant seem to transfer the movie to iphoto for editing - it doesnt want to drag? Has anyone used this software with imovie?

I presume you mean Videoglide - which I had never heard of.
    Having read the specs:
    http://www.echofx.com/videoglide.html
I am wondering how it manages to digitise analogue video from a VCR. For that I use an analogue to digital converter that imports straight into iMovie via firewire.
You should contact the developers of Videoglide for instructions on how to use it.

  • Has anyone used a Pinnacle TV for Mac HD Stick

    Hi,
I was looking into this product and was thinking about getting it for my powerbook G4 1.67 Ghz. I know it came out about 2008 and is now discontinued but all new TV viewer programs require an Intel mac. With this one you can use a G4/G5 and Intel.
    Mark

If not the Pinnacle TV for Mac HD Stick how about anyone using the Elgato Systems EyeTV Hybrid? It has the same system requirements for viewing HDTV as does the Pinnacle unit. Anyone get HDTV with one of those on a MDD G4?

  • Has anyone used WRT54G v5 with Airport extreme?

Like the title says, has anyone gotten the linksys wrt54g version 5 firmware 1.00.9 to work in wds with the extreme? Also, did the ethernet port on the airport extreme work to connect a computer on the internet?

I presume you are talking about the Airport Express base station?
Like the title says, has anyone gotten the linksys
wrt54g version 5 firmware 1.00.9 to work in wds with
    the extreme?
It has been reported many times that the v5 firmware stops you from using an Express and WRT54G with WDS.
Also, did the ethernet port on the
airport extreme work to connect a computer on the
    internet?
In WDS mode the ethernet port of the Airport Express is active and yes you can connect a computer.

  • Is anyone using BT Fusion with a Mac

I'm getting littl joy from BT's help desk, they only seem to know about Windows?
I am trying to get their BT Hub onto my ethernet network but it will not connect to the internet so I'm back to my Voyager 100. Has anyone else in UK had this problem or any idea what I may be missing?

    Hi,
A member of my family is asking me the same question and I don't know how to answer!
I guess that the existing hub will be replaced by the BT Hub and wireless connection made by Airport cards in the several Mac computers. I am left wondering if an Airport Express can continue in the system? It is currently configured as a wireless base station.
Hopefully a knowledgable person will answer your query.
(We abandoned the Voyager 100 some time ago because BT could not keep up with changes to Mac OS)

  • Has anyone used Sage on a Mac?

I have been told to download Bootcamp which I have but have no idea what to do next?

Boot Camp Assistant, located in your utilities folder, is used to create a Boot Camp partition on your computer. You then install Windows in that partition.
Read the Boot Camp guides located here: http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/

  • Has anyone else had issues with their Mac running slowly after installing Mavericks?

Ever since I installed Mavericks, my MacBook is running waaaaay slower. One of my favorite things about Macs has always been how fast they boot up, but ever since Mavericks, mine takes forever. A lot of programs like GarageBand and Premiere Pro are also running really slowly. They used to work great. Anyone else having this same issue?

The first thing to do is ensure you have adequate backups, because what you describe can be a symptom of impending disk failure.
To help determine the possible causes of this behaviour read the following. None of what follows is intended to fix anything, but it will provide the additional information required to advance troubleshooting. There are four separate parts to it; read everything first.
Boot OS X Recovery by holding ⌘ and r (two fingers) while you start your Mac. At the Mac OS X Utilities screen, select Disk Utility. Select your startup volume (usually named "Macintosh HD") and click the Repair Disk button. Describe any errors it reports in red. If Disk Utility reports "The volume Macintosh HD appears to be OK" in green then you can be reasonably (though not completely) assured your hard disk is in good working order.
When it finishes restart your Mac and test again for operation. If it's still not behaving as you expect it should, please post the results of EtreCheck in accordance with the following instructions:
Apple Support Communities contributor etresoft wrote a very useful app to quickly gather certain system information that may help point to a cause of this problem. Read about it here. It contains a link to download EtreCheck. Don't download it from anywhere else (such as may be found by following the results of an Internet search).
Click Open - etresoft contributes to this forum frequently and can be considered a trustworthy developer.
It will take a moment to run as it collects its data.
Copy and paste its output in a reply.
Do not be concerned about anything that says "Problem" or “failed” or anything else that may appear in red.
EtreCheck was designed to remove any personal information (such as your computer's name and serial numbers) but if you see anything that looks like an email address or any other personal information that should not be divulged to others, please delete or obscure that information when you post the reply.
When you are finished with EtreCheck, quit the program. It occupies very little space, and you can keep it or drag it to the Trash as you wish.
After completing the above please determine if the problems also occur in "Safe Mode":
Safe Mode or "Safe Boot" is a troubleshooting mode that bypasses all third party system extensions and loads only required system components. Read about it: Starting up in Safe Mode
You must disable FileVault before you can start your Mac in Safe Mode.
Starting your Mac in Safe Mode will take longer than usual, graphics will not render smoothly, audio is disabled on some Macs, and some programs (iTunes for example) may not work at all.
Merely starting your Mac in Safe Mode is not intended to resolve the problem, it's to observe its performance without certain additional components.
To end Safe Mode restart your Mac normally. Shutdown will take longer as well.
System performance problems for reasons that cannot be isolated to any other cause justify an SMC reset. Be sure to read the procedure carefully and follow all the steps exactly as written, even if they seem inapplicable or trivial.

  • Has anyone else had trouble with there front facing camera on Ipad with Retina display since last update?

Since the most recent update for IOS 7.1.1 my front facing camera has not been working and the tech people say it is a hardware issue.  Anyone else out there have the same issue?

At this point you probably think the errors are SyncPX's fault.
    And you would be right.
I started by taking the fault up with SyncPX's developer, Qdea.  One other user had noted a fault similar to (2).  Qdea maintain that there's nothing wrong with their code, and blame Apple's disc drivers.
What steps can I take to pin this down further?  All advice and comments will be gratefully received..
Dump Qdea for someone who knows how to write Mac software.
    1. Qdea displays the following logo: . This is a pre-MacOS X logo.
    2. Qdea displays the following review:
MacFixit had a good reputation, if you are old enough to remember when it used to exist.
    3. Qdea provides download links to SynchronizeX and version in French, German, and Japanese. Apparently they don't know that Mac software can be localized into a single executable.
I'm sure there are any number of similar utilities available, all of them cheaper than SynchronizeX's $99.99 price.

  • Has anyone used Apple Maps (on the Mac) for RoadTrip planning?

I would like to use Apple Maps to plan a road trip, but I don't see a way to drop multiple pins for multiple locations.  for example, I'd like to visit South Dakota, specifically, Custer and DeSmet, but I'd also like to visit Devil's Tower in Wyoming, the petrified forest which is close by, some caves, etc.  I would like to be able to set my starting point and drop some pins for points of interest and then figure out what else is around those points of interest (PINs) such as restaurants, hotels, historical sites, etc.  And finally be able to pull all this together so I can figure out the road trip.
Has anybody done this and if so would you be willing to share some tips?

I don't see a way to drop multiple pins for multiple locations
This can't be done with Maps at this time. The best you can do is amass a set of bookmarks that contain a maximum of one starting point and one ending point with no way to organize them beyond the order in which they were created. (A completely fruitless exercise in my experience.)
IMO, you're much better off creating maps with Google Maps, saving those maps, then accessing your saved maps through the Google Maps app (in its settings) on your iOS device or via the Web on a Mac. You can also use the Google Maps app in conjunction with the TripAdvisor app and even the OpenTable app to navigate to places to stay and eat anywhere in the country.
(Don't underestimate the value of paper maps for long road trips like this, either.)
