Has Apple flipped the killswitch on my iPod Touch?

My iPod touch  was working fine last week, however in the last couple of days I noticed that apps that require internet connection became slow or just wouldn't fetch new data. Same thing when browsing on Safari: Google loads fine but If I try any other page 80% of the time it just get's stuck on loading forever.
Weather and Maps seem to work everytime. But like I said, Safari and 3rd party apps don't. The App store app loads the featured page everytime but If I search for something 3 times out of 5 it never loads.
To clarify it does not lose the wifi lease and it joins the wifi connection fine.
When I try to log in to Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, ANYTHING, 90% of the time it loads for a long time only to give an error to check my connection. The thing is that if I enter a random password, apps DO tell me my password is wrong!
After managing to log in or using any app that uses internet, they are constantly giving me errors, can't find or load what I need, but hey, ads do load!
I was on 6.0.1 so I just restored to 6.1.3 hoping it would fix this issue but it's still here. I have reset the network settings before and after restoring but nothing helps.
It cannot be my home wifi connection fault because all my computers and devices including my iPhone work fine on it. This 4th gen iPod touch which I bought new not 2 years ago was working fine last week.

Does it work OK when connect to another network?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
