Has Lion fixed the "no artwork found" in iTunes screensaver?
Has anyone determined if Lion has fixed the problem experienced by many when they try to use the iTunes screensaver and get the message "no artwork found"? Trying to determine if I should quickly upgrade some family member computers to Lion that experience this unfortunate problem - and they used to LOVE the screensaver.

Has Apple fixed the problem with 4G cellular connection on the iPad 3?
Cellular connection problem was for US connection in Houston, Texas. Have an iPad 2 which functions perfectely on Wi-Fi or 3G. Bought an iPad 3 strictly to get the increased speed from the 4G LTE connection. Purchased on with the AT &T cellular. Wi-Fi functions fine, but 4G LTE connection is terrible when it connects at all. Went to AT&T and they said no problems with service in my area, but never get over 2 bars and most times, Web pages load very slow or will hang and not load at all. Went to the Apple store and they said it was AT&T network problem and went to AT&T and they said no problems with their service. Went to the Apple communities forum here and discovered that many people were having the same problems with the 4G LTE cellular connection on their iPad 3's. Didn't seem to matter if it was AT&T or Verizon. So I decided that I would just return the unit and wait for Apple to fix the problem. Hence my question.

Try this:
Wipe Cache Partition - DROID RAZR / RAZR MAXX by MOTOROLA
Performing a wipe cache partition will remove any temporary files that may be causing an issue with the device. All personal files and settings will not be affected by this option.
Power the device off.
Press the Power button then select Power off.
If the device doesn't respond to input, press and hold the Volume Up / Down then press and hold Power button. When the device screen goes blank, release the Power button while continuing to hold Volume Up / Down then proceed with step 3.
Press and hold the Volume Up / Down then press the Power button.
When presented with the Boot Mode Selection Menu, release all buttons.
Press Volume Down to select Recovery then press Volume Up.
From the Droid triage screen:
Press and hold Volume down.
Press and release Volume up.
Release Volume down.
Select wipe cache partition then press the Power button.
Use Volume keys to navigate options.
Select reboot system now then press the Power button.
Use Volume keys to navigate options. -
iOS 5.1 or iPhone Configuration Profile 3.5 for Windows has not fixed the issue with apply Proxy Settings via a Configuration Profile. Has anyone else got the same issue? Are Mac users got this issue?
This seems to be working for me now but will keep monitoring it the next couple of times I use it to make sure its not a one time thing

I have to keep fixing and re-fixing the same broken links in iTunes
Does anyone have a reason, or better yet, a solution as to why I have to keep re-fixing the same dead tracks in iTunes 11? It doesn't seem to matter if i Use 3rd party apps or iTunes Locate feature, I can fix a link then it will just be broken again later. Not all the time though.

First you need to find out if the distributed songs have anything in common, for example the date added or the Artist, since it is obviously not the name of the album. If you can identify some common feature you can create a smart playlist
File > New > Smart Playlist
and define a rule, like "Artist is "
and all your songs will appear in one playlist.
Then select all the songs from the playlist and activate the Information panel "cmd-I". Now set the album, the genre, the artist to a common name.
If however your songs don't have a common feature, then collect the songs by adding them with drag& drop to a regular playlist, and then proceed as mentioned before.

I ask because every time I did call they could not fix the problem, as in I could not send mail, I was told it was my Internet, then they tell me it is my computer. After spending many many hours on the phone with Apple, I was told I had to reload my hard drive. Which by the way takes a lot more then a few hours. The next day I found I still had the same problem. I could not send mail... I found the problem my self// I didn't have a mail box set up to send mail. How sample that was. Then the next time if I wanted to empty trash I had to turn off the computer then reset to do so. When I called tech support she tells me that is normal and they had to do the same thing every time. Well she is wrong in that if you use "empty securely" and not the one that just says empty trash then you do not have to reset or turn off your computer.... So I ask what am I paying $245.00 for? I am sure I will need support at some time, and at least it does give me someone to talk to.

FYI - there has not been a name brand consumer personal computer actually manufactered in the USA in years. Lenovo, Dell, HP, Acer, Apple, Samsung,... - you name it they are ALL made in China or Tiawan. Often many of those brands are being assembled by the same Chinese company in the exact same factory, pulling parts (hard drives, displays, RAM, etc) from the exact same bins. Foxconn for example, which makes iPhones and iPads for Apple, also makes dozens of other makes and models of tablets, ereaders and smart phones for other companies. Like it or not, but the consumer electronic manufactering center of the world is China.
The only consumer computers actually made in the USA these days are by local custom build companies, and it has actually been that way for many years now (I think twinhead may have been one of the last with a plant in the USA - they are still around, now GammaTech, and they still do their "final assembly" in the USA but most of thier manufacturing is done in Tiawan and Malaysia).
By and large, the USA has been out of the actual consumer electronics manufacturing/assembly business for a decade or so now. -
Has anyone fixed the Headstart libraries for Forms 11 ?
I have a 100% generated Designer - Forms application using the %65.pll headstart libraries - the so-called Headstart version 6.5i.
Currently our production environment is running on Oracle Application Server 10.1.2. It works fine, however, because of several reasons (the underlying Oracle Portal environment is not working properly anymore on Internet Explorer 10) and continuous alerts that our customers may not use Java 6 and should upgrade to Java 7, we have to migrate to 11g.
We have installed Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.6, upgraded Portal and recompiled all Forms modules and libraries. Also the Headstart libraries compiled ok. However, when we start a form we get the message that it has been created with an older version of Forms and it quits.
The consequence is that i have to migrate the Forms as well with the tool frmplsqlconv. Sadly that fails on the Headstart libraries. For example these errors occur:
CG$MESSAGE: The String CALL was found. If it is an occurrence of the Forms Built-In, It should be replaced with CALL_FORM.
CG$_SHOW_KEYS: MENU_SHOW_KEYS changed to SHOW_KEYS
CG$_PREVIOUS_MENU: The PREVIOUS_MENU Built-in is obsolete and will not compile.
CG$_HELP: The MENU_HELP Built-in is obsolete and will not compile.
CG$_EXIT: The EXIT_MENU Built-in is obsolete and will not compile.
CGNV$FIRST_NAV_ITEM: BREAK changed to DEBUG.SUSPEND

the problem has been fixed...
1) I tried to migrate the forms to 11g, but that can not be done with headstart... The fmb/pll files should be kept on 10g.
2) The migration documentation is not complete: webutil has been installed completely (in other words, webutil is not migrated)
So, steps are:
1) Install webutil
2) Recompile all libraries (including headstart and webutil)
3) Recompile all menus
4) Recompile all forms
Then the Forms application works again.
Java 7 update 21 is very dramatic. The "vendor" work-around can not be used anymore, like with previous Java 7 versions... It is unbelievable how amateuristic Oracle deals with Java. For me, Java in the client is dead as long as Oracle has the controls. So, the end of Forms is very near. If you are also looking for alternatives, check theformspider.com.

Will Mountain Lion fix the major Internet Sharing bug in Lion?
Does anyone know if Apple have indicated that they will be issuing a fix to the Internet Sharing bug in Lion (i.e. Internet Sharing does not work) in the new Mountain Lion?
Hmmm. Pete, suggest cease dissing people's problem with VNC in Mt Lion as "doesn't exist here" syndrome. Maybe for you, it's working just fine....for some of us...NOT.
Following several threads on issues with VNC and Lion and the vague hope that Mt Lion would fix the problem, I also upgraded to Mt Lion. Worse.
Prior to Lion, VNC worked every time with any Mac I tried, inside or outside the local network. With Lion, VNC worked correctly until around 10.7.4, then with intermittent connections (requiring restarts on the target Mac in order to connect a second time).
Now, with Mt Lion (target Mac is still on Lion and restarted), I cannot connect externally to the Lion Mac even with it being restarted (and Screen Sharing and Remote Management turned off/on as one thread suggested).
As another thread suggested, I had deleted the iCloud System Pref on both Macs while on Lion (with no effect to VNC).
While I'm sure there's a solution out there, I have yet to find it.

Has Sun fixed the direct draw and direct X problems?
I have been looking at the bugs and forums lately and have not seen anywhere that Sun has fixed the direct draw and direct X problems. I disabled these options a while back but would like the performance of direct draw back. Here are the flags I am talking about.

I had that same thing happen on an older system while using a GF2 MX and a NIC card in the top PCI slot. I discovered the AGP and top PCI were "shared" on that mobo. Moving the NIC to another slot resolved the issue. -
Has Apple fixed the audio encoding problem?
As many other people seems to have experienced before me, iDVD6 stops working when encoding audio. Everything works before that step but when it reaches the "Audio Encoding" sequence iDVD stops working. Did Apple fix the problem? What else can we do?

iMac G5 Mac OS X (10.4.5) PowerMac G4I followed your advice and restarted at 6:00 pm last night - this morning it was still going on - over 13 hours! The funny thing this time is that I got the 'rainbow ball' encoding audio at the beginning of the 3rd step, 'Processing movie' after only 1-1/2 hour. The last time I burned the same project, I got the 'rainbow ball' encoding audio message at the end of the 3rd step - in other words, it had processed the entire movie (which took 6 hours) and then began the encoding audio phase. I'm letting it run while I'm at work, but do you think there might be something else going on?
Here are some facts which apply to both times that I have tried burning the DVD project:
1. I have iMovie project (26Gb) on my external drive with about 15 Gb available space
2. and the iDVD project is on the internal hard drive with about 50 Gb of available space
The reason I moved the iMovie project to the external drive was because I would have only had about 24 Gb of available space if I left it on the internal drive (less than the movie itself).
Which drive is doing all the encoding and needing the most space - the internal or the external? I was assuming it was the internal drive. Should I move the iMovie project back to my internal drive and start over?

Has CS4 Fixed the _notes Problem?
I am thinking about upgrading to CS4 but was wondering if
anyone knows if they have fixed the bug/feature where a _notes
folder is inserted into every folder in the website, regardless of

synchronization -
for example, it keeps Design-time stylesheet info there, too.
I can't see why it is such an annoyance, really.
