Has my Broadband been downgraded? Should I renew ...

My one year contract with BT runs out on 28 January and I haven't made my mind up whether to continue or go with Virgin. Could someone please answer a couple of queries for me to help me decide?
A - I am on Empeter Peterborough Exchange which went 21CN in May (and which lost me 1MB of download speed which may have been a coincidence but I gave up talking to India!).
B - ADSL checker gives the following note: Your cabinet is planned to have WBC FTTC by 31st March 2012. Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Br
oadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 26Mbps and upstream line speed of 10.5Mbps.
C - I notice from item 2 below from 11/11/2011 where my modulation was G.992.5 Annex A (=ADSL2+) and my Line attenuation (Down/Up) was 59.2 dB / 34.4 dB that there is a difference from item 3 below from today (20/01/2012) where my modulation is now G.992.1 Annex A and my Line attenuation (Down/Up) is 54.6 dB / 31.5 dB.
Does this mean that my line has been downgraded between November and today?
Also, please note that I have had total stability on my Homehub3 for months but notice from the Line Status under item 3 that the hub must have gone off by itself four days ago.
I am connected directly to the master socket. I have no apparent noise on my phone.

Looks like you been backwards migrated from ADSL2+ to ADSL as your line was performing better on the "older" service. It's not unusual to see a drop in connection when a long line is put onto ADSL2+.
If you change package now they'll probably put you back to ADSL2+ which will have the same result as last time. However if you just change your package for a better deal and then Infinity becomes available you'll be able to take out a new contract with Infinity and your existing one at the time would be written off.

I wrote on here a couple of days ago as I was really annoyed at BT for cancelling my order for the Home Hub 4 which they ordered on my behalf - the order has disappeared off the MY BT page and I've no idea what happened, can only speculate. However, I've now logged back into My BT and found my broadband package has been downgraded from Unlimited Broadband to More Broadband!!! As far as I can tell, this means I've now got a limit of 40GB per month - I use that in a week!!
What the hell are BT playing at? Has anyone got these problems or have I been landed with the idiots??
Seriously considering cancelling the contract even though we are only weeks into it.

If this is indeed the first time that you have used your Apple ID in the iTunes or App store you do need to have a payment method the first time you set it up:

Ok, you should generally only get this when you are converting your ID to an iTS account for the first time.
Sign into iTunes with your Apple ID and you should get this.... IRC once you agree or accept it's now an iTS account and you wont get that again.

If you can log into the computer, go to the Mac App Store and purchase Mavericks under your AppleID. Even though its free, they still consider it a purchase.
If you are not able to log into your Mac you can try on a different Mac. Once you purchase it, you can stop the download if you want.
Once you do that then you should be able to reinstall via the Recovery HD

Hi,
The problem seems to be in your ALV grid display.
The reason must be your field catalog.
Just check your fieldcatalog.
The value in the fieldname field of the fieldcatalog should be same as the fieldname in your internal table and should be in capital letters.
Probably you must have mistyped some field.

when i try to render a afx project from media encoder i get the following message

i've read on the forum that this is due to an old installation of Premiere.
I'm using a brand new computer. the only software installed is my cs5 master collection and the updates from adobe website.
win7 pro

Hello, this is terrible problem, which i found in CS 6 softwares ...
solution i found only working, is uninstall and reinstall full package.. but it is not all,
you need to do BRAND NEW admin account in windows, and install it there.
that means, i could not export after repair from encoder in my original account never more (!!)   .. this is really terrible way how to repair this issue, because :
1.by reinstalling of software, client WASTE HIS TIME
2.by necessity to begin work in another windows profile you again WASTE YOUR TIME because of learning and migrating all other profile modifications, which i see really unaccpetable. Adobe means, this solution of repair is ok, and they did not do till today any steps of creating some "clever" solution.
I ask everybody, who will meet this issue in future, guys, please, complain about this situation, give "BUG Report" to them, and write "feature request" to them , in the way of creating some repair tool, which check actual "broken" connections between encoder and premiere, which refuses to "take material" from it and encode, and REPAIR it automatically..
   I am not IT, but ..does it seems so hard to create this ? Adobe IT developers should know their systems, and should create such utility tool really easy.
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. i export anything by button "queue" from premiere to Encoder
2. Encoder will start encoding
3. Encoder does not show the window of media encoding (down left )
Results: sound of sheep occur,
in encoding error file is this reason of canceling the encoding :

History of this problem and detailed description, HOW i did "repair" this. With wasting of app 2,5 days of my working time :
1. after repairing "error 5" problem , i solved it by reinstalling the suite from the new admin user profile (profile B) .
I continued my work on my normal working windows profile . (profile A)
Every cooperation (AE+Pr, export media via "queue" to Encoder) was working fine . . .
2. suddenly it stop working (without knowing any possible reason - i did not do installations )
and showed in error export log file :
"Could not read from the source. Please check if it has moved or been deleted."
3.repair via procedure(procedure "a"):
i did this procedure on the profile B (profile from last time installation of repairing problem error 5)
I did these steps :
a-uninstall master coll suite
b-i used Adobe cleaner tool (remove ALL)
c-removed raw directories in locations
•C:\Program Files\Adobe
•C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe
•C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe

this issue should be some "broken" connections between encoder and premiere, which refuses to "take material" from it and encode.
what i expect :
to get from Adobe some repair tool, which automatically checks these connections and repair if necessary, without necessity of founding the new profile and reinstallation of whole software.. this is madness !
what i do NOT expect from Adobe:
to get from Adobe advice of kind : you have to reinstall full software in new admin profile. sorry , we do not know the solution, because we do not know, how do behave our software.

I am so confused. I just downloaded Itunes. I set up an Apple ID with a password. Now I want to buy a song. I can't do it. I keep getting the message: "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the Itunes Store. What am I doing wrong?

You haven't opened an account with that Apple ID in iTunes. Open iTunes and log in. A dialog will appear in which you need to enter your Apple ID and/or password. Below it you should see a link for creating a new account. Click on that link to get started.

Last night, I saw my iPhone on the table in front of me and twice it made phone calls on its own. I just watched it make the outgoing call as it sat in front of me. Should I think that it has a virus? What should I do about it?

Also, it's been a little quirky lately: slow to respond to key pad touching and making it impossible to delete Apps?
Should I try wiping it and restoring it to factory settings?

It isn't a virus.
I would try the Restore from backup first and if that does not help try a Restore as a new iPhone.

I have a Batch program that is calling VL02n for Delievry Picking ,Pcking & PGI....
This batch program runs in Background
For Some Delivery it is giving this Error Message "Delivery has not yet been put away / picked (completely)"
...But When i run the same program in foreground delivery got Processed Well.
CAN U PLS HELP ME

After reading again through your messages, I understand that you are doing both PICK and PGI in single update BDC call to VL02N.
This is NOT correct way to do this, as this does not ensure that PICK values are committed first and then only PGI is attempted. We did face similar problems and have solved it by separating PICK and PGI in to two calls separated by COMMIT WORK AND WAIT.
I would suggest you to split your BDC into two calls. One which does only PICK and save and then followed by COMMIT WORK AND WAIT and then followed by another which does PGI and save. This should avoid the problem altogether.
Why it is not happening in foreground mode is it does not happen so quickly as in background. Even a split second can make a difference, that is why I would want you to split up both PICK and PGI update in two separate CALL TRANSACTION VL02N
I am not sure if it would help to know where the "Delivery has not yet been put away / picked (completely)" message is raised, as it is raised withing SAPs PGI routines, and it is mandatory that ONLY picked values are used for PGI.
I can only say that the message is given under id VL and no 609, it should be embedded somewhere in the PGI call, why don't you try to PGI without picking and put a watchpoint SY-MSGNO = 609

Has this always been like this?

I have just noticed that asking to be taken to the last message of a thread takes one to the last edited post, not to the last posted message. Also, the edited message shows its original time in the list, but the date and time of the last edit when open.
Has it always been like this, or has a recent change been made? I ask because I don't recall having observed this before (which doesn't really mean much). And, regardless of whether this is a recent change or it has always been like this, I find it very confusing. Perhaps marking a message as edited should be automatic, and not voluntary as it is today?
I am thinking, for example, of the automatic addition at the end of a message of a note saying "Last edited by (name of the author or host/moderator) on (date and time)". The reason for the edit would be added only if voluntarily added by the person who did it. As I will do voluntarily at the end of this message immediately after posting it.
I think that if, at the same time, editing a message doesn't make it automatically become the last one, everything would be quite a lot more clear and logical.

I'm not a software developer, so that's not for me to work out. The system is already in place to allow for the requested comment to be placed at the end of the message, that's all I was commenting about. By default the checkbox could be ENABLED and not be given the choice to disable it.
I am not sure if others are specifically looking for the timestamp, but clearly the system already has it in place, if it is taking a reader to the last *edited* message. Since it's already there, displaying it shouldn't be such a tough thing for a software development company to do.

Beginning a thread does not equate to how many replies end up in the thread, so saying that an OP started a 70 message thread is not relevant. Asking questions about timestamps and why the messages appear to have *wrong* timestamps, even when you are the originator of the message is quite different from asking about how the forum software is taking you to specific messages in a thread.
You said that the functionality has been there all along, to take one to the last edited message, but that has not been my experience here. Maybe I just didn't realize it, or maybe, just maybe it wasn't always like that.
The real point here is: we are not all programming gurus. We're not going to install all the plugins, subscribe via email, do the footwork that Adobe should be doing. We are users of the software and the forums. We have questions. Sometimes the questions can circle back to other questions, other times not. But to berate the users for asking the questions, clearly because they don't understand the answers/reasons, is wrong.
I have always been taught that there are no bad questions, but that does not seem to be the case in this forum.
