Has my mail been migrated from Yahoo to BT Mail?

I have heard nothing since the email in the spring about being migrated to BT Mail, but I had to set up a sub-account for my husband yesterday and it seems as if I am still on the Yahoo system. I expected that this would have happened by now?

Afraid not - It is still in progress and no one really knows how may existing customers have been successfully migrated. If you open the webmail interface and get a Yahoo interface, then that address hasn't been migrated. (you don't necessarily even have all your email sub accounts migrated along with the primary).
When you are being migrated BT should alert you. you might like to have a good read on the Email section of the community to see what various people have discovered about how to survive the migration as painlessly as possible. Then do feel free to ask whatever questions you like and people here will try and answer you.
If you usually collect mail by IMAP or pop3/smtp, then you should make sure you have adjusted the settings in your email client to match those required by the BTMail system. That method of collecting mail should be the most seamless during the migration (should!!) - as long as you have the right settings, then there should be no need for password changes on your email client and the same settings that work before migration will work afterwards (as long as you have done the recommended port/SSL changes already).
If you usually use webmail, then you have to wrestle with BT's rather complicated BTID login instructions relating to the migration as that login method WILL change when you are migrated. But there is help here to guide you through.

Is there a way to identify which files haven't been migrated from a backup?

I've just upgraded my girlfriends 13" mbp from Leopard to Snow Leopard. It was behaving a little strangely and being sluggish so I erased everything before the upgrade. I've used Migration Assistant to transfer most files from a Time Machine backup but was a bit unsure about transferring everything blindly as I'm a little worried about what was causing the problems before the upgrade. The only items I didn't select in Migration Assistant were the 'All other files and folders' in the 'Users' drop box, and the 'All other files and folders on Macintosh HD'. I left these as I wanted to investigate what exactly these files were but now I have no clue how to go about this. Is there a quick way to highlight which files were present in the backup before the upgrade that aren't there now? Are any of these files likely to be hugely important?
Also, because I backed up again after the upgrade, Migration Assistant automatically selects the last backup to migrate from instead of the one that has the missing files. Is there a way to select which backup file to use from my external drive?

It's usually not a good idea to upgrade a computer that's having problems. They may get fixed, but more often they'll get worse.

Those are other files, not in any user home folders, besides system files. On most installations, they're just a few Help files, but if you've installed things or created files at the top level of a drive, they weren't migrated.

No, unfortunately. You can only do that with a full system restore.
If you used +Setup Assistant+ when the Mac first started up, the user accounts now on the Mac are the same ones, and you can use the "Star Wars" display to restore selected items from older backups. But you can't restore an entire home folder, or the default folders in the user's home folder (Desktop, Documents, etc.); you have to select the contents of those folders instead. See #15 in [Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/FAQ.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).
If you used the +Migration Assistant+ app, however, the user accounts may not be recognized as being the same ones, so may not have permission to see and restore from the backups.
It's a pain, but your best bet may be to start over: do a full system restore of the last Leopard backup, per #14 in the FAQ. Then try to address the "strangely and being sluggish" issue. Once that's either fixed or you determine it isn't a big problem, just install Snow Leopard over Leopard without erasing.

Has Bigraphbean.jar been removed from Jdeveloper?

I am trying to show graph in a JSP (without using DataControl). And I found that, we can do it using oracle.dss.thin.beans.graph.ThinGraph
However the jars required for the same seems missing in latest version of JDeveloper.
e.g bigraphbean-nls.zip;
bigraphbean.jar;
jewt4.jar;
LW_PfjBean.jar;
share.jar;
is missing from Latest Jdeveloper.
It seems Oracle has refactored the graph component.
Is there, another way, where I can use oracle Graphs inside a plain JSP (not the JSF )?

I have already tried the latest dvt with faces. Its awesome.
But unfortunately, the browser that we work on (stone aged IE6) is not supported.
So i guess, we will have to stick to old Jdev version.
BTW, is migration from old style to new supported (if in future we plan to do that)?

I believe you are right…and thanks for posting…hadn't noticed until you asked the question. Maybe it's there hiding in plain sight, but I couldn't find it. A search on MPEG in the new User Guide actually comes up with one reference to MPEG1 as a setting (p 111), but that may simply be a vestige of the previous editions.
What do you need MPEG1 for? Could MP4 work?

No, it is not included in Acrobat 11 and is available separately. If you had Acrobat 10 installed, installing Acrobat 11 removes it but you are elgibile for a free copy of the latest version, but you have to request it.

Why has QLOGIC 1280 been removed from Kernel 2.6.6 & 2.6

Hi folks,
I upgraded to the latest 2.6-scsi kernel and all of a sudden, no boot. After looking at the .config it appears that the qlogic-1280 support has been taken out. Now I understand that I can also recompile the kernel but is where could I have read about these changes before applying the package?

theoretically you should be able to find such info in the cvs "changelog" for this kernel. i usually use the web interface for the cvs as you can use the colour coded diff features.

Has This Topic Been Pulled From The FCE Forum?

I have just rceived a new email notifying me that "Protected ACC Files in FCE" has just been updated.
However, when I clicked on the link I got an error message saying I did not have permission to view it. It doesn't appear to be in the forum any more.
Has it been removed for some reason?

Go to SETTINGS, then ACCOUNTS AND SYNC select facebook and uncheck sync contacts and then do the same for yahoo.
back up contacts w/ backup assistant that is under accounts and sync.
then go back to SETTINGS then APPLICATIONS then MANAGER APPLICATIONS then ALL select PEOPLE then clear data. this will erase your contacts so make sure you have it backed up.
then go to SETTINGS then ACCOUNTS and SYNC then backup assistant and sync now and this should put all your contacts back on your phone without being relinked to facebook or yahoo at least i remember it being something like this when i was trying to get rid of facebook being linked to my contacts on my Tbolt.

Has sync Services been dropped from Mountain Lion or is it broken?

Am trying to sync contacts between Address book and MS Office/Outlook contacts but the sync boxes via tools are empty.
Have tried a full delete of MS Office including cleaning out the hidden files but no success. MS Office is uptodate.
Strangely, my Mac Book Pro doesn't have the same problem.
Any alternate way to move contact details across would be appreciated. Have tried exporting to csv and importing but doesn't work properly.
Any help would be appreciate. I am useing a recently aquired iMac.

Thanks for checking. I've been having other issues with mdimport, but I checked the manual again and the only option that mentions schema is <mdimport -X> followed by the path of the importer(i've also tried sending it the schema.xml path) and that just gives me the manual again. Would you mind trying <mdimport -L> and telling me what you get back. I get an empty list back, despite there being at least 4 user importers installed and many more system importers.

I'm trying to play video podcasts without having them run in a separate window. Before, I could simply run a video podcast and have the video play in the Now Playing box in the lower left corner of iTunes. Now, when I try to X out of the separate window, the video just stops instead of moving to the Now Playing box. How do I change this?

Maybe this question has been found already, but I have yet to find the answer. How can I restore my bookmarks after it has been deleted from my 'bookmarkbackups' folder?

So it has been a couple months now since I last cleaned up my bookmarks toolbar. And I could remember a couple of bookmarks tabs I wish I did not delete. I found some articles saying I could try restoring previous versions of my bookmarks from the dates of recent system restore points. But the earliest date I found was of only last week's. I've checked everywhere in my Firefox profile for anything that I could restore to date back into that time, but they too only tracked back as early as last week. I believe the automatic backups Firefox had made during that time has now long been deleted from the system in order to make room for my most current ones. How am I going to be able to retrieve those bookmarks when their aren't any backups available now to restore from?

If you do not have backups of your bookmarks, either in the bookmarkbackups folder or saved elsewhere, then you can't restore your bookmarks.

Migration from Oracle 7 to 8i or 9i

If a customer has the choice to migrate from 7 to 8i or 9i it seems more efficient to migrate directly to 9i.
Are there any circumstances or reasons for not migrating directly to 9i? (for example stability?).

For my two cents, I'd recommend going from 7 to 9. Why start off with the database already being a release or two old. Also, I believe that 9iR2 is going to be released in the next 6 months, and 9i has been out long enough that any gotcha's should be documented. From my experience, Windows platforms only, 9i is faster and as stable or more so than 8i was. Lots of new features too that are useful. The only reason to go with 8i from my perspective is that it takes less server resources generally (but not significantly more), or if you need specific 3rd party vendor support.

Based on my knowledge,
the Upgrade of the function level do not affect the trust relationship.
Besides, before you upgrade the Functional Level,
verify that all DCs in the domain are, at a minimum, at the OS version to which you will raise the functional level.
Once the Functional Level has been upgraded, new DCs on running on downlevel versions of Windows Server cannot be added to the domain or forest.

ABAP Adaption while migrating from Windows to Unix

Dear All,
I am working on a project where SAP system has been migrating from Windows to Unix os. Because of this all ABAP which are using Files, Operating system command has to be adapted as well.
How can I get such a list of ABAP objects which will be affected by this migration.
Example I can look for Dataset command, External OS Commands and so on..
Please advice if there is a straight forward way to get such a list?
