when I am running LM01 , it gives the error : user 'abc' has no profile definition.

Hi,
If these transactions are working for other users, RF Queue Management should be missing for your user id in the configuration.
Maintaining your user id in the RF Queue Management should resolve the issue.
SPRO -> IMG -> Logistics Execution -> Mobile Data Entry -> RF Queue Management -> Assign Processor to Queues

In mobile data entry geeting erro user has no profile definition

I am trying to logon to handheld to the systme .. i am getting this error " user has no profile definition ..m
What could be reason for this error ??

In the configuration Maintain an entry with your user id in the following table
SPRO--> Logistics Execution -->mobile data entry --> RF Queue Management --> Assign Processor to Queues.
If an line item already exists, copy that and change the username, if its blank (which will be in a fresh client) input all the parameters.
If everything is configured properly for ur user id, when you type LM00 it should show you the screen on the RF gun, or else you will get the same error.
try this, it should work

Web Console has no profile definition

Dear Gurus
I've installed the Web Console. Configure the profile at SAP Console Adminstator. From URL, I can access the SAP system. When I sign on to SAP , I'm getting the following error:

I can login with this ID via SAPGUI.

I have created a user 'Bitest' and group 'Bi_Test_Group'. Assigned the user to the group and the group to BI consumer role.
I gave access to only procurement and spend catalog folder reports and Dashboards.
When I login to BI Presentation Services with above created user and open any procurement and spent catalog dashboard i am getting below error in every report.
Its BI Apps 7.9.6.3 installation.I gave read access to group to all procurement and spent subject area.

Using SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 R2.
I am getting the error in the subject trying to cache a report, I see that this is described here

But, how does this solve my problem? I still want to use the user as a parameter filter so surely returning a default user as part of the error handling will just give every user the data for that hardcoded user when the report is run?

When we use the User!UserID to filter the data at runtime, the system tries to evaluate the User during Cache Load. At cache time report processing does not have access to the user profile information. Any expression like User!... will cause “has user profile
dependencies” error.
Just as Jerry said, we can write custom code to call the User!UserID in your report to get rid of the UserID during the Caching Operation. Please note that we should use a valid filter instead of "System" like shown in the code to the filter the user.

Error Message: "User has no profile in this organization."
Chrome browser. Am downloading Mozilla in the meantime and will report after.
Attempting to log into various TV subscription cable channels with a valid ID and password which ordinarily allows me to enter the on lne version of the cable channel, such as HBO and TNT and USA. Works fine on Showtime. Something is local to these channels, I suppose yet suggesting that something in the computer is blocking also. Everything worked fine with my HP notebook, all subscription/ login required channels were accessble but this new computer actually refurbished but like new) an HP Elite sff 8000 seems to be blocking me from logging in. Could it be the cable channels? Also got a message that indicated something about "User repository". Please sugget a detailed fix if there is one from this information.

I have created a Initialization block named Budgetary_Control
the query entered in the data source is

     column

     table
where
     user_name=':USER';
then i selected a connection pool and tested with 2 USER
and it gave me expected result.
in the Edit data target i gave a name to this variable as S_Budgetary_Control and a default valus as -1
i checked on row wise initialization test again
it show me multiple record.
the i save the rpd and deployed the same to the server.
now when i trying to create a report using this varriable like VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.S_Budgetary_Control) it gave me error like
[nQSError: 23006] The session variable, NQ_SESSION.S_Budgetary_Control, has no value definition.
Please help me to get rid of this issue.

I have a Session initialization block for Fetching Departments from a Security table for the user logging in.
One user can have Multiple Departments assigned to him, so i enabled Row-wise initialization in INIT Block.
But when a user not assigned to any departments logs in, i am getting 'Session variable has no value definition' error in all the reports. But i should instead pass a default value when SQL in INIT Block is not returning anything. Like '0'.
How can i do this? please respond.

Hi Swami,
When the query fetches a result set, the variable gets initialized.
But, when the query doesn't fetch any rows, the variable doesn't gets initialized and hence "no value definition" errors out.
So, to avoid this,
In the query itself, place an exception condition which returns '0'.
select dept_name from table
where user_name = ':user'
UNION
select '0' from table
where user_name <> ':user'or you can use like this
select CASE WHEN user_name = ':user' THEN dept_name ELSE '0' END
from tableP.S: Query written orally. (Pls adjust the query accordingly)

For all Dashboard reports and Adhoc reports suddenly we are facing the below error for some users

In those dashboard reports we are not using any Area prompts even if we take only area column in analysis also it is showing the same error. But for admin the reports are coming fine only for some users it is showing like that but previously it was fine.

Hi,
this means your init block is not working. Check the init block why its not resulting in any data.
only when init block doesn't not result in data , server checks for default value for the variable.
Since there is no default value, you get this error.
Init blocks can fail because
1. connection pool is not working.
2. The table or view does not exist
3. no data in the table
4. filter in the sql in init block is not initialized if its coming from another session variable.
typically no data should bring no results in a report.
Since you have a session variable being part of the report, and that variable failed to initialize you get this error.

I have been attempting to install and have AM 7.2 working properly with the J2EE Policy Agent for V9 of Sun's App Server. I have followed mostly the default values during setup. I believe I have the installed properly. In order to verify that everything is working properly, I have also installed the sample app that comes with the J2EE Agent.
I made a few changes to the README that came witht the sample app by changing the default org setup in the exaple to dc=sample,dc=com. I setup up the policies, users, groups and roles as specified in the read me. However, when requested to authenticate, the access manager responds with "User has no profile in this organization..."
It is quite mystifying as to what this error actually means unless there are organizations within the default realm other than the one it actually came with. Which is what I am using.
Any help would be deeply appreciated and thank you in advance.

Hi,
I had done as you suggested. But there is a problem. Once this is done, the amadmin subject can no longer log into the application amserver. However, the agent sample works. How I got around the the problem is to create another Realm (with sample as the parent realm). In this second realm I set the User Profile to ignore. Once done, I went about creating the subjects in the second realm. What was was kind of strange is that the URL policies had to be defined in the Parent realm.
Once so done, amadmin could log in and the application iteself worked as advertised.

Row wise Initialization - "Session Variable has no value Definition"

Hi,
I have gone through other posts relating to this error, but could not find a solution.
I have defined an initialization block with 'Data Source' as SELECT 'TEST_VARIABLE', cost_center from XX_COST_CENTER.
In the 'Edit Data Target', i have selected the 'Row Wise Initialization' option.
When i 'Test' this initialization block, using the 'Test' button, i get the exected output, with all the different Cost Centers being defined.
However, in the Presentation Services when i add a column and change its formula to VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.TEST_VARIABLE), i get an error
+[nQSError: 23006] The session variable, NQ_SESSION.TEST_VARIABLE, has no value definition.+
Would appreciate some input, to check if i have missed any steps, or am doing something wrong

Hi,
Error is caused because no value is returned from the sesision variable for the logged in user, you may check the NQquery.log file to see if the initblock was successfull and if that returned any rows, try setting default value in the session variable
It might also happen when
1. You created the variable as Repository variable in RPD and referring as session variable in Answers
2. It may also happen when you are referring the Session variable Name wrongly in Answers. E.g "Current Week" in RPD (2 Words) and CurrentWeek in Answers (Single word).
Try to use the same letter case for the name of the variable (upper and lower).

Shame on them. This is a symptom of lacking faith in the authorization concept and their confidence to use it.
I am sure you will not be the last person to stumble over this "User does not have the profile" message and wonder which analyzable authority is missing....
