Has SAP has changed the way licenses are issued?

Hi Everyone;
I was just informed by my client (Public Works Government Services Canada) that SAP has told them this week that ...
"for two maintenance releases within the same major version that we require two licenses on the same PC; one for 12.1 and another for 12.5".
My understanding was that a PB 12.5.x .LIC file will also activate a PB 12.x IDE as well on the same PC. In fact, that has been the case in previous years with various versions of PB from Sybase.
Has SAP changed (or are they changing) the way the old Sybase Sysam licenses work?

Apparently the person at SAP who wrote that thinks that 12.5 is a maintenance release of 12.0.
If the 12.5 license allows running 12.0, whether that is a bug would depend on whether Sybase intended to allow use of prior versions when you license the current version.
If they are going to license maintenance releases separately, that is definitely something new. I suppose they want to make sure only users with a maintenance agreement can install and use maintenance releases.
We should get clarification from Sue.

When I duplicate a version it is automatically appended with " - Version 2". Is there any way to change the way new versions are named? I'd prefer something shorter like v2, v3, etc, but I can't find any way to change it.

Thanks for your reply. I don't usually have a lot of files to rename, so I just do it manually. It's not a big deal, it's just that I prefer to use shorter names, especially when sending files to clients. I'm surprised they don't allow the user to control something like this.

Is there a way to change the way videos are listed?

I am in the strange (maybe?) position of having lots of video podcasts on my iPod and I'm wondering if there is a more direct way of getting to them than sifting thru video and then scrolling with my finger past all the 'movies' (lots and lots of 2 or 3 mins movies of my children!) before I get to the podcasts?

I had a bunch of videos of my son and here is what I did:
In iTunes go to the movies tab and right click the video and hit "Get Info." On the video tab change the Video Kind to TV Show and type in a generic name in the Show area: "Josh's Movies" Do that for each video (unfortunately, I couldn't do it for more than one movie).
This moves the videos to the TV Shows section of iTunes. Then when you sync with the Touch you get a section under TV Shows that you can click to get a list of your movies. It cleans up your video section (I had five seasons of a show!).

My problem is that I bought an home stereo system with an iPod dock. I'm using a brand new iPod Touch. I'm trying to watch downloaded exercised videos in my exercise room on the iPod Touch hooked up to my new stereo system. The problem is that when I place the iPod Touch in the dock and play the videos, the videos are shown horizonatally, not vertically. I'm trying to watch videos with the iPod Touch in the Dock. Can't help with your video issue, but I'm not sure what you mean by "can only post a question under a new forum". At the top of each forum is a link just below the forum title that is called "Post a new topic". That's the link you're looking for. Not sure what route you had to take.

How do you change the way files are stored in itunes

This may be simple!? I have a lovely playlist system setup but when I go to the actual music files I'm presented with a huge list of artists and within that a album link and then finaly the song file etc.. mixed albums are a nightmare to find! I would really just like a list which looks like my playlist. i.e. album name or whatever I called it and then the songs files in it!.
Is there a setting to get itunes to organise it this way?, Is it a possible to do this to my exsisting files without manually trawling through a million files?.

iTunes is responsible for the File Management, let it get on with it, you do your organisation in the iTunes window. And everything you need to do, you can do via the iTunes Window. Want to find the file of a track quickly? Right click on it in the iTunes Window and select Show File: A finder window pops open with the file already selected.

Change the way parametes are chosen in webi

Hi experts,
Weare having the following problem, in our QAS server, when we right click on a crystal report, select program and them parameters, we get the following screen

But in our pudctuon server we get this one.

And we have no clue on how to change that..
We need the Production server to be like the QAS, and i checked they are both on the same version.

Hello, I recently purchased Friends seasons 1-5 from the iTunes Store. I noticed that they were grouped like this:
However, I would like to find a way to display them the old (?) way that previous versions of iTunes could do, which looks like this:

As you can see in the second image the seasons have their own tabs within the TV show The Big Bang Theory. I would like to sort my Friends seasons 1-5 in this way. can anybody help me?

Right now the Incorrect feedback appears behind one of the possible answers and is not legible. Somehow the correct feedback appears on top. How can I bring the Incorrect feedback to the front. The option to arrange object is greyed out...Thanks!

I have backed up itunes by copying my itunes file to an external hard drive. I try to keep my large media files (like TV shows) in a separate folder so that I can keep my hard drive on my macbook from filling up. Problem is, apple has changed the way Itunes is organized and backs up over the years. Now I am having a hard time keeping straight what is where. When I go to support, it has different instructions for the various versions of itunes. I am using version 10 now but it seems like I can't see all my files within the itunes music or media folder. I want to get everything in one place so that I can easily back up, regardless of which version of itunes I am running at the time.
I have selected to let itunes organize my files. It keeps all the files I have purchased in one place apparently, but items I have imported don't seem to always be there.
How can I best sort this out?

I have, but if I don't have that particular external hard drive connected when my time machine backup hard drive is connected, then I don't think it is all backed up together. It is getting too complicated to get out all this equipment every time I want to buy some music.

You need to look at Mac's iTunes, check  > System Preferences > iCloud.
If you use iCloud for Calendar, Contacts then turn off those items in iTunes, Info tab with your iPhone connected and selected.

This is very incovenient as I never know if my call is going through, and sometimes when call isn't answered immediately I have to look at my phone to cancel the call. Is there a new setting I am missing?

Sometimes you turn off your Bluetooth and then back on and it doesn't reconnect with your phone unless you go into the menu. Either way doesn't help much if someone calls you while you're driving and you realize your iPhone is stuck on headphone input.

Setting Lightroom's preview size to larger than screen resolution is guaranteed to slow things down. I have a dual monitor system whith Lightroom showing the loupe on one screen and the grid on the other. The screen sizes are 1920x1080 and 2560x1440. Following your practice for previews would bring my system to a crawl and I have an entry level workstation.All my previews are of standard 1024x768 in size. The only delays in viewing come when Lightroom is asked to display an image where there is no preview. Once the preview has been created, browsing is near instantaneous.
I beg to differ! The reason is that a preview can be used for any size, which is smaller than that of the preview. Scaling down a preview can be done with little or not loss in quality compared to getting the full resulution and scale that down. Scaling up is not possible.
In your case, you will not use the previews of 1024x768 at all for full screen display. Instead you will force L3 to create bigger previews the first time you open the photo. You could try this by generating the standard previews for new imported photos before you start browsing. Then try to browse. You will probably get the "Loading" message, which indicates that the preview was not used and another one with higher resolution will be made. Then try the same experiment, setting the size of the standard preview to 2048. If, and only if, the size of your display area is not more than 2048 pixels wide and you display a photo in lanscape orientation, you will be able to browse without delay after generating the standard previews.
If I understand your setup correctly, you display the photos in a window of 2560x1440 pixels. I suspect that only 1:1 previews could be used for that. I think Adobe should increase the maximum size of the previews to a value larger than 2048, so that you are not forced to use only the 1:1 previews.
I agree, that when the previews have been generated, browsing is near instantaneous.

I find that if I do that, the parts in the stack all get merged together with no way to expand them (ie the triangle you would click on to expand the stack disappears).
I believe this is a bug, and wonder if anyone else has encountered it?

In addition to the above I also recommend Apple's Pages ($19.99). All of these options allow you to open, edit, and save Word-formatted documents and spreadsheets. I use OpenOffice and Pages and have been completely Microsoft - free for over a year now. Life is better without Microsoft.
