Has the Apple Store stopped selling wired keyboards that suppot 10.6.7? I only see wireless keyboards that require at least an operating system of 10.6.8. My iMac was purchased in late 2007 and I don't think I can use a wireless keyboard on it.

Almost any wired (usb) keyboard will do. Stick "wired keyboards for mac" into a google search and pick one. Better that using BT anyhow since you always have a connection even if you loose BT. Ditto for the mouse. I keep a wired mouse as a backup to my magic mouse. I only use a wired (non-apple) keyboard.

Where did you buy it? And was it connected to a carrier?

Phone cycles on and off. I have restored and so has the apple store.

I had a screen sensitivity issue with my original 4s. It would react to my finger getting within about 1/4 inch of the screen, and would auto dial without anyone touching the screen. Fortunately, It happened to actually do this in front of one of the 'geniuses' on my third trip to the apple store so they replaced the phone about 5 months ago. I was given a 90 day warranty on the new phone. It worked fine until last week.
It started cycling on and off. Then it wiped the phone and all of my apps. I restored the phone but there would be a noticeable hesitation between when I touched the screen and when the touch registered. This went on for two days.During those two days the power indicator did not ever show any indication there had been any battery drain, but always showed 100% charged, days, then went dead without ever showing it was discharging. I took it to the Apple store. They tried to do the same restore I had. The phone came back on, but then cuts on and off to the Apple logo. The battery will take a charge, but as it sits on the charger it cuts on and off. The store solution was for me to purchase a new phone since they either had no idea what the problem was, or wouldn't tell me. The phone has not had rough treatment or been exposed to water or excessive moisture. Any suggestions?

try to force restore using: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If that doesn't work, I'm afraid the device needs another hardware repair.
Please note that using that article will erase everything so make sure you've got a backup.
But restore it AS NEW if it's at all possible.

In iTunes? Yes I did. Logged back in with new ID and password. This works fine. Account on iPhone and in iCloud still shows the old ID. Apple ID field under setting/iCloud/account is non-selective. Is only option to delete account and recreate?

HELP! ...I went to the apple store to get my iPhone replaced. When I left, happy & all, I realized I did not erase the data off of the iPhone I got replaced!! Does the apple store reset those iPhones so that information isn't stolen or tampered with?

First, please understand we are not Apple employees on this forum, and we are not authorized to speak for Apple.
Having said that, here are two thoughts:
1. Did you sign a form when you left your old iPhone with Apple? You might consider reading that form. It may help.
2. You might consider telephoning the Apple Store and ask them about resetting your old iPhone.

Yesterday I was told that my ipad which I finished paying off in March (18)month loan , could not be fixed. The warranty had run out 150 days ago, it was now useless! The solution is to put out 299 dollars for a replacement! I am saddened, shocked and very diasappointed in apple products. This is my only computer, I waited to get this version ipad so I could finance it, and am dependent on it for Bill paying, etc.. It seems not to be shutting down, so I am reaching out to this community for suggestions . I now can not open any of my apps. there are some things you can try. I'm sure you've done the reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds until you see the silver apple. See if it'll reboot.
You can also try to restore your iPad. You may need to borrow a friend's computer to do this.
If you have another apple store in the area you can make an appointment and take it in for a second opinion. however, once that device is out of its factory warranty period Apple is pretty much done with it. You get a year, two if you buy the extended warranty, then once it hits that deadline, all you'll ever get is an out of warranty replacement (which is what you were offered). Then it's up to you to decide if you replace it with your same model, put the money towards a newer model, or choose something else. (for me, I have an ipad 2, which is 2.5 years old, so if something goes wrong with it I either toss 249 at a practically defunkt device or put the money towards somethine else that will have a longer life span)

I am about to switch from PC to MAC, and I would like to buy Macbook Pro 13" 2.4Ghz.
I am French and I am living in Ireland for 6 months, so I have to buy my Macbook on the Irish Apple website.
During the ordering procedure, I saw I can order a computer with a AZERTY Keyboard (French), but I'd like to know if it's possible to order the computer with a French Leopard OS, or will it be by default in English and after I can put it in French ?? Please answer if you know, this is the last step before I buy my Mac!

If you didn't setp your iTunes account, from the beginning, without a credit card, you'll have to either add a credit card to your account or redeem an iTunes gift card, regardless of whether the app is free or not.

Will the apple store fix my keyboard area for a third time?

I have an early 2008 white macbook and about a year after I got it the edges of the keyboard area (right where the magnets from the screen part close on top of) started chipping off. It tends to catch against my hands or arms and then rip more off of it. I brought it to the apple store and they told me that I just needed to be really careful when closing and opening the laptop because the magnets can put stress on that area and start making it break. They replaced the whole keyboard and all was well.
I was really careful, just like they said to be, for another year or more and it started breaking off again. I left it for a while because I didn't think they would fix it for me again, but then my touchpad wouldn't let me click anymore (the button wouldn't even press down) so I brought it in again. They said the battery started inflating or something and they replaced the battery and the keyboard again for me.
Now the keyboard area is chipping again. I'm curious, do you think that they would replace it for again a third time or is this wishful thinking?

Your post says you have an iPhone 3G. Is it running iOS 4.2.1, which is the latest iOS it can run? Even if so, it's now quite old (nearly five years). That could be part of the problem.
Anyway, maybe you should delete your mail account (Settings >> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -- if it was still called that back in the iOS 4.2.1 days), and start over.

Carriers lock phones. Only Carriers can unlock them. Contact the carrier to whom your phone is locked. See if they allow unlocking, and if they do, what the qualifications are.

Buying the iPhone 3G S at the Apple store

Hey guys, so i have been waiting for the iPhone 3G S ever since i got tired of Edge moving so slow on my 2G iPhone, and its been quite a wait. But sadly, Apple's strict policies and quick sales are keeping me from obtaining an iPhone. All of AT&T's stores are probably filled up with preoders so my last option in this moment is to get my dad to go to Apple...Well the thing is, Apple will require a credit card, government issued ID, and AT&T account number (if new member) right? I want to know mainly if
1. Can I pay for the iPhone with CASH after verification?,and
2. If it is REQUIRED to activate the iPhone at the Apple store.
Reasons why is that me getting my dad out of work is on a very tight time schedule. Thanks for the help.

If I had a family plan with a son or daughter under 18 with a line under my family plan, I darn sure wouldn't want my son or daughter (who wouldn't be the account holder) having the authority/ability to make changes to my account without my knowledge or permission, or without me being on hand to approve any change, including purchasing a new phone and signing a new two year contract for their line/number, adding a data plan, or making changes to the calling or messaging plan. And the same for anyone with a line under my family plan even if they are over 18.
And this is not the reason AT&T stores are out of stock. Apple directs larger available shipments to Apple stores over AT&T stores. Apple stores receive larger shipments of available inventory than AT&T stores do. Apple did the same with the 3G.

When I downloaded Mavericks, I could not figure out how to download them without the charges. When I downloaded the most recent OS to my iPad, I got a prompt to download them. It's not correct at all. It is true that Apple is offering Numbers, Keynote and Pages for free, but only for users who have purchased a Mac after October 1st, 2013, and for existing iWork '09 users. If you have not got iWork '09 and you purchased your Mac before October 1st, you need to pay for these apps.
The new iWork version (Numbers, Keynote and Pages) is criticised by its lack of features. Instead, I recommend you to get LibreOffice or, if you need the most complete productivity suite, Office for Mac. Give LibreOffice a try first
