Has there been a fix for the accelerometer issue plaguing iPod touch?

I have rebooted, restored, restored to backup and restored it as a new iPod and no matter what my accelerometer has not functioned properly. And I do not have the portrait mode locked! It begins to work for a little bit but after awhile it stops. I didn't have this problem until I upgraded to IOS 5.  I just cannot believe it is only a hardware issue.

If your iPhone is no longer in warranty you could do an out-of-warranty replacement for $199. Make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store. This assumes you, or a 3rd party repair site, has not opened the iPhone.

  • Has there been a fix for the dreaded kernel_task eating up all CPU problem yet???

Since I bought this pile of garbage in 2011 and went overseas I've been struggling with it. This kernel_task issue is completely insane and a lot of pepole experience it as well, so has Apple released a fix or has anyone figured out a proper way to get rid of it?

I have this same issue on my iMac after an upgrade. My girlfriend's iMac (same model) was unaffected. So the problem seems to affect random machines of all ages and types. I have a solution but not a fun one.
@ScottC75 : The CPU percentage shows what % of an individual core is being used. If you have a multi-core chip (which most Macs do) this can go above 100%
I've read *a lot* of forums on this kernel_task problem with people spouting quite a lot of rubbish.
I first tried everything listed on forums: reinstalling OS X, removing kexts (that apparently stop your computer from overheating), new RAM, tidying up the computer. None of it worked.
One guy said he took three trips to the Apple Store, having his MBP sent off each time; eventually they gave him a brand new MBP of the latest spec. That might be the option for you but I didn't want to be without my computer for that time.
Finally, I did a complete wipe of my Mac. If you boot using the backup partition, or using a USB with an OS X Install on it, the option to 'reinstall' or 'install a new OS X' does not wipe your computer. Once it has finished, you will have all your files and applications still. This did not fix my computer. Instead, you must use Disk Utility first to wipe you Macintosh HD partition and then install. Then you Mac acts like it's brand new. Only this fixed the problem. The massive downside is that I had to backup everything and reinstall all my apps.
This is a drastic measure, and you run the risk of forgetting to backup all the stuff you want. It did work though and was ultimately quicker than going to the Apple Store (even if I might have got a new computer out of it).
In summary, to fix this problem:
    1. I backed up all my files onto an external hard drive!
    2. I booted up to the recovery screen (Command + R or hold the option key at bootup)
    2. In Disk Utility, I 'erased' my 'Macintosh HD' partition
    4. Back on the main recovery screen, I chose to (Re)install OS X.

  • Has there been a fix for the speakerphone problem?

I recently had to return two N97 handsets due to the fact that the speakerphone on the handsets worked poorly. Contacts I called using speakerphone repeatedly told me I was "breaking up." Speakerphone volume was also mediocre, compared to other N series handsets I have owned. When the problem occured with the second handset I settled on returning the phone and waiting until I knew more about the problem and whether Nokia was aware of it and preparing a fix for it. I no longer own the phone and have gone back to using my trusty and very excellent, but old N958GB.
Can someone/anyone tell me whether this particular bug on this handset has even been identified by Nokia and whether it has been fixed? Is the problem with the speakerphone a software issue or is this a hardware/mic/factory issue? If this is an isolated problem and it was simply a "bad batch" I would be prepared to buy the phone agan, but based on my reading on this forum, this is not a completely isolated problem.
Basically, I'm waiting to find out whether (a) Nokia knows this is a problem, (b) it can be fixed via software upgrade, or (c) this is a design flaw with the handset that's not fixable remotely. Any help users can give would really be greatly appreciated, as I would love to purchase the phone and update my handset at long last.

    Hi
Does anyone know anything about this? At least, can anyone who had an update that has improved the phone say whether the update solved that problem, if they were experiencing the problem with the loudpspeaker before?

Unlikely.  Based on the complete lack of detail of the issue provided it is entirely possible the same issue would occur.
Unless and until the user provides some actual details of the problem, there is nothing the indicate that the issue is with the iPhone.

Likely someone does but Apple has not stated if/wehn.

Then don't use the repair program unless you are actually having an issue.

I've never even seen such a thing in SL. That said, it's pretty difficult to understand this so called "bug" without some sort of reference. Do you have a screen shot you could post?
Edit: Never mind. Found more than a few sites talking about this issue. Here's one:

  • I got a new computer and backed up my iTunes library to an external hard drive.  The external hard drive is not allowing me to access the drive.  Is there a way to transfer the songs from my iPod touch to my new computer?

I got a new computer and backed up my iTunes library to an external hard drive.  The external hard drive is not allowing me to access the drive.  I no longer have access to the old computer.  Is there a way to transfer the songs from my iPod touch to my new computer?

That's a bummer, didn't realize the exHD files were corrupt, esp if you have tried from another PC and not just this new computer.
You can get purchases from the itunes store transferred from an iPod using these directions:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848?viewlocale=en_US
If you want everything (meaning non-itunes songs, app data, photos, etc) you need to buy a 3rd-party ipod manager that support iTouch. Here is an iLounge article to start your research:

  • Has there been any fix to Aiport Express Scanning Issues?

I have my HP printer/scanner hooked in to (by usb) to an airport express. I knew about a year ago that you weren't able to scan with this configuration. Has there been any workaround to this problem?
    Thanks..

Has there been any workaround to this problem?
The only workaround remains to connect your printer/scanner directly to your computer.
Since It is HP that must supply the correct sofware drivers for this functionality to work on the AirPorts, you might want to contact HP to ask them about their future plans in this regard.
I suppose that it could not hurt to remind Apple that you would like to see this type of functionality as well.

  • Has there been a resolution to the wake up issue created by upgrading to OSX Lion?

Since upgrading to OSX Lion my iMac will not wakeup. Has there been any resolution to this problem?

This is a problem with your computer and system, not with Lion. I suggest you do the following:
Install or Reinstall Lion from Scratch
If possible backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive.
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Erase the hard drive:
Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. For example, if you are already booted into the Lion you originally purchased with your Apple ID or if an instance of the Lion installer is located anywhere on your computer.
Because the Lion volume will be erased I recommend you first backup your files so they can be restored after reinstalling Lion.

  • Playback issue is still occurring, has there been a fix yet?

If you guys don't mind, can you please vote for the following issues below, so they can get more attention for the support team?

I've been experiencing this issue for 3 months now and so far, I've tried the latest Flash 11.3 beta build, but that did not solve the problem.
Ever since I've upgraded to the latest flash player(11.2), for some reason, when I view certain flash videos online, the video moves really slow. The audio is fine, but the video frames doesn't seem to move normal and not sync correctly with the audio. This happens on both Fire Fox and Chrome.
    Steps I've tried:
    1. Reinstalling Fire Fox/Chrome
    2. Reinstalling Adobe Flash Player(Yes, I even followed the tutorials from this site)
    3. Reinstalling Shockwave Player
    4. Enabling/Disabling Hardware Acceleration on both Fire Fox/Chrome and the video settings.
    5. Obtaining the latest drivers from my manufacture.
None of those steps helped. This is most likely an issue on the new Flash Player version
When I've ran a previous version, I never had this problem.
The best thing I can do right now is wait for some more info from the bug report I submitted awhile back.
So I ask, how or when this can be fixed?

Pay attention to the notes below on the bug thread:
    https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3155813
The Flash Player developers already have a new test version made with a fix for this issue which is going to be sent to testers.
