loaded movie clips thinking the new iMovie with updates would be better than the pervious version....WRONG!!! New version is much more difficult to use. How do I revert to the old version??? HELP!! My job depends on getting this video together my MONDAY!! YIKES!

The install of iMovie 10 doesn't remove the previous iMovie version 9 or any of its files.
Look for it in your HD/Applications folder.

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5/5.01 can not open Pages 5.1 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.1 sometimes can not open its own files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has not only managed to confuse all its users, but also itself.

I recently got a MAC BOOK PRO! The newest version and I make beauty videos, so I need to edit my videos, how do you do voice overs on Imovie? It doesnt give me an option to do a voice over. And how do you have a video going and then in the corner have another one going? I Have the IMOVIE app on my phone and I know how to do all of that but it doesnt let me do it on my laptop. You can't. It's already downloaded and filled the drive. The only option is to erase and reinstall.
You may be able to Target Disk Mode if you can connect the Mac to another with FireWire or Thunderbolt Cables (USB will not work and it cannot be connected to a windows PC)
Do you have a Time Machine Backup?
If not best option is getting it in somewhere where they can transfer the data you need off before Erase and Reinstalling OS.
Unless there is nothing on the Machine you need anymore that is, in which case you may be able to Erase in Recovery. It May not work though, if the Disk is too full.

I'll assume you want to create a still to use outside FCPX, not a still frame within FCPX. It's kinda hidden in the "share." Go File/Share/Add Destination. You want "Save Current Frame." After you've created that destination, it'll be there for you in the future under Share.

In the old iMovie, there was a 'Move rejected clips' function that I cannot find in the new iMovie. When I select it to where it only shows rejected clips before selecting 'Move to trash', ALL the clips, including the ones marked as 'favorites' end up being deleted. If you click the Adjust button and then choose the Cropping tool you can adjust the framing to create a pillar box. That way rather than having your shot blown up to fit the 16:9 frame is will be shown at it's actual size with black bars on the left and right.

Right click on the icon and choose "Show Package Contents".
Drill down through the folders to find your original source clips (probably .dv files). Drag them to a new Desktop folder to import them into iMovie.
