Hate yosemite want back maverick

I was very happy with maverick Unfortunately when I took my macbook for service they installed the STUPID, DISGUSTING YOSEMITE.
Can I re install maverick.
In fact I was very happy with system before maverick.
EVERY TIME APPLE COMES WITH NEWER SYSTEM ITS WORST THAN THE ONE BEFORE. IT WOULD BE BETTER APPLE GOES BACKWARD.

Do a backup, preferably 2 separate ones on 2 separate drives.
Revert to a Previous OS X - Yosemite
Revert Yosemite to Mavericks
If you do revert, I'd use Setup Assistant to restore your data. This process takes a while, so do it when you won't need the computer for several hours, based on my experience.

    Hi megamike1969,
I've been losing some apps also in the Dock. As Niel said I think is that you may be able to just drag them back to the Dock, if you can find them.
What I do is open Launchpad and while you're in there, drag the application to the Dock. If you can't locate the apps, then disregard this post.

  • We just want back in

my wife and I were former customers. our daughter decided to get a family plan with another provider and have us switch to that new plan. the new provider gave us credit for our Verizon phones and was going to pay the etf's and life was supposed to be great. Well our daughter decided one day just a month into this new service to cancel me and my wifes service. by cancelling we lost our numbers which we had transferred from Verizon and since she cancelledf us in such a short period, the new provider refused to pay the etf's ultimately we went from Verizon customers to no service and a huge bill because of the actions of a know it all teenage kid. we just want back with Verizon. can somebody help??

You CAN return to Verizon within 60 days, return to your former plan and status, and the ETF's will be credited back.  However, since your daughter cancelled, you probably won't get back the same numbers, and your devices were turned over to the new provider too, so you'll need new phones.
Call Customer service (800-922-0204), choose option 4 (Other) and then say "Agent" when prompted.  That should get you to a human being pretty quickly.  You can also visit a Verizon store (corporate, use the store locator at the top of this page to find one close to you, and be sure it is a corporate Verizon store) and get this straightened out in person.

  • When I go to restore my phone; is there any way to pick what you want back on your phone or do you have to get everything backed up?

When I go to restore my phone; is there any way to pick what you want back on your phone or do you have to get everything backed up?

Thank you.  I was afraid of that.  I backed up from iCloud.  I looked at the iTunes one - it had four different ones on there; was hoping I could see because my grandson's phone was redone last year (his mom messed it up then) and didn't know anything was backed up to iTunes.  He lost a lot of stuff that time. I'm just trying to get his phone back to par after someone changed his passcode on him as a joke and forgot what they changed it to a few days ago.  They should change it so one could go in and pick what they want or don't want.  Thank you again for your time.  I do appreciate it.

  • HT201317 I want back all my photos from fotostreamer.

I want back all my photos.

You should call Apple Support and give them your Apple ID so that they can verify how many photos you actually do have backed up in iCloud...
Also, are you able to do an iTunes backup at all? Because that would save all of the photos and allow you to get them onto the new device.
    Apple Support number is

  • I have recently downgraded my mac from yosemite to os mavericks but i want iwok apps which were free when i bought mac now why am i supposed to pay.

I was facing some problem in my macbook when i upgraded from os mavericks to new os yosemite. So I went to the apple store and they downgraded my macbook. Now after all the softwares removed i wanted to get pages keynote and pages in my laptop on which I have been working since so long. Initially i purchased them for free but now I am being asked to pay. What is the solution to this?

You cannot download the same Apps that you have on your iPhone. They are two seperate stores.
The store you have on your iPhone is the same for any iDevice (iPad, iPhone and iPod)
The store on your MacBook is only for Macs.

  • I have downloaded Yosemite and want to delete it it possible off my mac, I previously had Mountain Lion which I liked.  I hate Yosemite, the dock looks terrible.

I have downloaded Yosemite and want to delete it, is this possible?

I also think the computers are over priced and over rated,, its all about profit with this company, they dis-regard customers comments and I have read all the feedback regarding Yosemite...Yosemite looks cheap, is slow, and the classy stand alone image is now gone with this computer.....would I purchase another of these comps?? the answer is NO, for the various reasons..1.. if you have a problem with the computer a service engineer will not come to your premises, the customer has to take there machine to the nearest store,, which in my case will be over an hours drive away,,  2..The recent update has not only put me off buying any further computers, I also would never recommend these to a friend or business associate,, 3rd,,The manufacturer never listen to the customer they just think of the profit,, so next year I will be choosing an alternative computer supplier.

  • Upgraded to Yosemite want to go back to prior operating system

I want to go back to my prior operating system as I can no longer access my PC based programs. Word Excel photoshop...

What version of OS X is now installed and how did you access  your PC based programs prior to installing the version of OS X. For example did you use Boot Camp, Parallels, Wine, etc......?
Going backwards is not wise, fixing the problem is.

  • Over riding Yosemite to Install Mavericks

If you're running Yosemite, how can you revert back to Mavericks if you want to...

Erase the drive and restore from a backup using Recovery.
OS X Yosemite: Revert to a previous OS X version
If you don't have a backup you can restore from, boot into Internet recovery, partition the drive, then reinstall OS X.

  • HT201232 Is it possible to convert to Mavericks from Yosemite without a Mavericks backup?

I have a 2011 MacBook Pro and recently downloaded Yosemite. Turns out this was a horrible idea and my computer cannot handle the new software properly. I want to revert back to Mavericks, which was running wonderfully with few issues. I have not done a backup, and just ordered an external hard drive to use Time Machine with. I was wondering if it is possible for me to revert to Mavericks if I only have backups of the current Yosemite files/settings. I am not worried about keeping apps and their data (the most important stuff is in iCloud) but am more focused on my files, which I know I can back up to the external hard drive. I want to know if I can actually revert to Mavericks without killing my computer. I'm a recent college grad and don't have a spare $2500 laying around to spend on a new computer, which would be the ideal fix (it's been slow for a while anyways). Help please!

If you have no TM backup with Mavericks but you updated to Mavericks from say Mountain Lion then go to the app store under purchases and see if it will show Mavericks.  You may be able to download and install.  Be sure to save your files first. You could do an internet recovery (command-option-R) boot and it will install what came with your Mac (e.g. ML) then you can then update to Mavericks from the your purchases it it shows up there.
