Have 1 tune in a series of downloads that wants re-authorization

Scenario: Downloaded a handful of tunes.
Problem: 1 will not play - wants re-authorization:
Message:
"This computer is not authorized to play ..."
Its the only one acting this way.
It is recognized as already authorized, if I enter the username & password to try to re-authorize it.
Ideas?

Thanks - the knowledgebase search on this was chasing one's tail.
Deleting the music file - deleted it off the desktop iTunes acct. But it did not redownload it with the new attempt.
The message is that all music for this acct was downloaded. It DID download to the associated iPad & plays.
When I had the file - it wanted re-authorization.
Authorizing it - got me a massage that said I was already authorized.
All the other music from that same download arrived fine.
I've been holding off until now because I can't find the email notification for the music downloaded, possibly deleted it. A search of email does not find it.

Itunes says that I have five computers authorized, but I have only done this for one computer. I want to authorize a new computer but it won't let me. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

I have one computer authorized to connect with my ipad and ipod. I would like to authorize my husband's computer to enable home sharing, but keep getting the error that I have five computers authorized. Not sure how this is possible. I'm tempted to try to deauthorize all computers and start over, but fear that this may create new problems. Any ideas on where the issue is?

Hi Deb,
Deauthorizing all is definitely the way to go. You will just need to authorize your computer again after, as well as your husband's.

Each iDevice synced with iTunes on the same computer has its own sync preferences with iTunes.
If each iPhone is synced with the same supported address book app on the computer, contacts will be the same on each iPhone.
You can create a seperate computer login account for your wife where she can access her iTunes content only with iTunes under her computer login account and the same with her contacts, etc.

What happens when you try to play the actual film ? And have you tried deleting them and (assuming that they're still in the store) redownloading them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page - or going into Edit > Preferences and on the Store tab ticking the 'show iTunes in the Cloud purchases' tick box so that they show in the My Movies part of your library with a cloud icon against it for redownloading) ?
(You can't store films in the cloud, whether they will show there for redownloading depends upon what country that you are in - and if you move countries or if the rights-holder removes them then you also won't be able to redownload them. Ideally you'd be taking a backup copy of all of your downloads, and not relying on being able to redownload them in the future.)

You may not have the iPod's Music tab set up in iTunes, which is how you tell iTunes how to automatically sync your iPod.
Select the iPod in iTunes. There is a row of "tabs" (starting with Summary). Click on Music there.
To use automatic syncing, the checkbox for Sync Music is checked. Below that, you can choose to sync Entire music library, if it fits. Otherwise, you can choose to sync Select playlists, artists, albums, and genres.
With the latter choice, you can create a selection of songs to sync to the iPod by selecting (checkmarking) playlists, artists, albums, and/or genres on the Music tab. For example, you can make a playlist in iTunes with all the songs you want on the iPod. That new album needs to be on that playlist, if you want those songs synced to the iPod. On the Music tab, checkmark that playlist.
When you Apply the change, your selection of songs sync to the iPod (replacing its existing content). Going forward, any changes in the iTunes Music library that are related to your selection of songs on the Music tab sync automatically to the iPod when you connect it, or when you click Sync.
Therefore, if you create a playlist with songs you want on the iPod, and select it on the iPod's Music tab, you can simply update that playlist in iTunes (add and remove songs), and those changes sync to the iPod automatically at the next opportunity.

The iPhone 5c needs iTunes 11.1, which requires Mac OS X 10.6.8. See if your Mac can be upgraded to Mac OS X Snow Leopard > http://support.apple.com/kb/sp575 If so, buy Mac OS X Snow Leopard > http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Then, make a backup of your data with Time Machine or Disk Utility's Restore, insert the disc and follow its steps to upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard. You shouldn't lose compatibility with any application. After upgrading, open  > Software Update, and install the latest version. It will install iTunes 11.1, so you will be able to sync the iPhone 5c with your Mac

Sometimes things have inconsistent labeling. Check your Recently Added playlist.

I tunes store in wrong language-- i have i tunes france instead of u.s.

How can I re-download in order to have i-tunes in correct language and in correct prices.
As of now, it shows the I-store in all french, even though all my settings and displays are in English. Additionally, all prices are in euros instead of dollars.

Click on the store icon and when it opens scroll to the bottom of the main pane where you'll find the "My Store" drop down menu. Click on the flag icon and choose your own flag from the window that appears, this will return you to the US store.

I did all that HT1925 recommended and it was no help. My computer still won't recognize my iPhone. Often trying to start Apple Mobile Device Service fails with an error message that it starts and then stops immediately.

I have downloaded a tv series from a season pass. I will be travelling next week without wifi. When I try to watch it at home it keeps freezing. when I turn the wifi off on the ipad I only get the first 2 episodes, and tells me I have to connect to itunes store. Can you tell me why? I have two mac laptops. One is used exclusively for TV and movie downloads and backed up on an external had drive. I have been buying TV series for years and have had no trouble with them auto downloading when they become available to the laptop they were purchased on. Now they are autodownloading on the wrong laptop. I have gone into preferences and stopped auto downloading etc. with no luck. Yes I am signed in on both at the same time doing different things.
