Have 2 computers, desktop(Win.7)

Have 2 computers - desktop(Win.7) & laptop(win.Vista) .  After recent updates Error messages - APSDaemon.exe MSVRC80.dll missing Windows Error 126 & Microsoft Visual C++Runtime Library Error R6034 and more...!   Have uninstalled (2x) same errors persist & NO iTunes!!!  Any simple advice to rectify or doesn't Apple want my custom?

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?

    I have several friends and family who are looking for a central place to access information from ( Pictures, home movies etc ).  So I am considering setting up an OSX Lion Server.  There are some other things I can use it for as well.
    Here is my question:
    If I were to purchase the Apple Remote Desktop with Unlimited licenses, would I be able to install the client software on each of there computers/laptops and have them remote desktop into the server?  Or would I have to install the Admin software on each?  Do they intend it to be used strictly as one admin to access many clients? 
    I always could set up a network drive so they can log in and just see the folders they have created with space on the server I provide them.  But I want them to be able to log an and actually use it as a Remote Desktop.

    Thanks for the feedback.  I understand that ARD is meant for Remote Administration, but I was not sure if it could be used for my purpose as well.  The reason I was looking to do it this was was because I read several articles online about security and performance issues with setting up VNC and activating screen sharing.  Unless I am misunderstood. 
    As far as people's activities on the server, mostly it is going to be used as a place for them to store their media.  I will only allow own person ( Who I trust and I know wont botch the server ), to run applications.  Everyone else will be restricted to uploading and downloading content to their designated account on the server as well as a community share on the server.

    I second the whole iTunes folder approach.
    If for some reason you have split the media folder from the library files then the media folder needs to restored to the same path it used to have while the library files can be copied into the music folder of your new profile.
    If in dobut, backup up the entire Documents and Settings folder before wiping the infected drive, but be selective about what you restore as many viruses drop active components capable of reinfecting the compuer in the temp folders and internet caches. It is much easier to backup more than you need than to discover after the fact that you no longer have access to some vital project you'd been storing in a folder on the desktop.

    The EULA allows you to install Acrobat on one device. There are two exceptions:
    If you are the only user of Acrobat on your work computer, you can also install it on your home computer, as long as you are again, the only user of Acrobat on that 2nd system
    If you are the only user of Acrobat on your desktop system, you can also install it on your laptop, as long as you are again, the only user of Acrobat on that 2nd system.
    In both cases, you cannot use both versions at the same time.

    If you've got 5 computers authorised for the account in question, and you need to free up authorizations, I'd do a "Deauthorize All" from one of the computers you have access to, and then reauthorize the computers you have access to.

    Icloud does not have restrictions on amount of computers. You can use it on your desktop or laptop or both. Sync with one computer's library comes in to play when you deal with licensed content sync, like music, movies, etc. Icloud only deals with personal info.(contacts, calendars, photos).
    there is another part that for marketing services Apple sells as icloud - itunes in the cloud. Feature that allows you to download your purchses at itunes/app store from any devices. That one is restricted to 5 computers.

    Deauthorise all to reset to zero, then authorize again.

But if the same index.app file is double clicked in Mac 10.6.7 at out clients location, its not opening. For your information the client is able to open this same application by double clicking on index.swf file. The main problem is that client is not able to open the application using index.app file at their office whereas we are able to do so at our office. Can anyone give some suggestions to sort this problem?

    The most common reason is different versions of Flash, or different versions of web browsers used.  Some users may elect to not have Flash installed at all because of the processor overhead of Flash.  If you are going to make an application for a client, check what operating system and browser versions they are using first.  Then determine if a stand alone application is required, or if they have the necessary plugins to run specific browser enhanced code.
    P.S. MAC is an acronym for Media Access Control.  Mac is the shorthand for Macintosh, the operating system and computers made by Apple Inc.

    How did you transfer the files to the iMac.  If you exported the files out of the MB library using Kind = Current you should get the edited version.  Any other  option may not.
    If you want to keep the two libraries "synced"  any photos you want to move to the iMac should be added to an album, connect the two Mac with a LAN, Target Disk Mode,  Transferring files between two computers using FireWire, with WiFi. and use the paid version of  iPhoto Library Manager to copy that album from the MB library to iMac library.  It will also copy the original and edited versions, keywords, titles, etc.

    I have had to re-enter my itunes info on two computers (desktop and a netbok).
    However the first desktop got a virus and had to be wiped, thus i had to re-do i itunes. Then we got a new computer recently and I had to put a new itunes on it. Thus itunes thinks there are 4 computers with my info on it, whn actually there are only two. How do I get my account to reflect 2 computers instead of 4 please?

    Oh, system is Windows7. The itunes is 10-something (not the latest one, the one before that i think).

    Even though my iMac wasn't appearing in the authorized computer list, I tried to de-authorize it and this evening it worked. It actually de-authorized the computer. Yesterday I tried this same step and iTunes didn't allow me to de-authorize. After I de-authorized, I authorized the iMac. However, the iMac still wasn't appearing in the authorized computer list. I logged out of iTunes.
    As a last resort, I decided to play a t.v. movie I had purchased on this computer using my one an only iTunes account. After I played a couple of minutes of the movie, I stopped it and logged into my iTunes account.
    Hurray, finally my iMac is appearing in the authorized computer list and I'm able to update my purchased apps on my iMac.

    It most definitely is the browser that is causing most of the problems. I have used Firefox so long, I can't even remember. Maybe since its beginning. But today is a sad day. I gave up on it. I can't accomplish anything and end up spending hours troubleshooting. I see I am not alone. I am so sick of it "not responding." It's simply not worth it to spend so much time trying to make the thing work, so I can actually do something. Installed, removed, reinstalled numerous times, and I can't fix your software on my Win 7 Pro machine. No problems with IE or Chrome. So. as much as I hate Google Update, Chrome has won the test. Sad, sad day for me to lose Firefox, but it just does not work on the Win 7 machine. I don't have the same issues with the XP machine and have exactly all the same add-ons. Keep it up developers and you will have no Win 7 users at all.
