Have 2 errors for quicktime when installing itunes

what does these errors mean and how to resolved them...
1.)Error writing to file: C:\ProgramFiles\QuickTime\PropertyPanels\PanelHelperBase.qpa
Verify that you have access to that directory
2.)Error writing to file: C:\ProgramFiles\QuickTime\PropertyPanels\PropertyPanels.plist
Verify that you have access to that directory
installation aborted...
then again..there is problem with the windows installer....

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

  • Error with quicktime when installing itunes 6.0

hi, i've tried reinstall the new itunes many times but whenever it reaches the end of the installation, it says that there's an error installing quicktime (it says quicktime installation failed: error code: -3) and when i try to access itunes it says that it has performed an error and is closed.
i've tried http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93865 and the same problem still persists
    anyone knows what to do?

I have one solution for you.. I just also bought my Ipod VIdeo 60 GB 3 days ago and having problem with Quicktime 7.0.3.
Everytime I click on Itunes Icon on my desktop, it says you have older version of Quicktime 7.0.2, Itunes need 7.0.3 or later to be able to play Itunes, Please reinstall Itunes....I did reintalling adn uninstalling millions of times.. still it was the same problem.
Now what I recommend is to uninstall all Quicktime version and Itunes in your computer. Delete everytime you have... shutdown wait for couple of minutes and then go to the above site address I provided. Only download Quicktime alone. Do not download qiucktime and itunes together.. It is no good. And do not go to Apple site to download because it will download together.. That's not what we want. Download Quicktime 7.0.3 version for windows. After successful installation.. Only then Go to apple site and only download Itunes alone. This will work I guaranteed. Because mine is working now!!! Let me know the outcome.. Good luck!!

  • What does error 45019 mean when installing itunes on Windows 8?

I am trying to install itunes on my Samsung Series 5 PC with Windows 8.  I have installed QuickTime to get rid of the "no apple support component" error message, but now I get an error code -45019 that says a component of itunes is still missing after installation.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling three times.

  • What is error code 2324 when installing iTunes?

What is error code 2324?  I got this when trying to re-install iTunes.  I was in the middle of the latest iTunes update when I had to cancel it.  Now I can't access my music so I tried to reinstall iTunes but I get this error code.   I also get a error message saying I need Administrator privlages.  Well I am the Admininstrator and logged in as it.  I can't reinstall iTunes and when I go to remove programs I don't see it listed only Apple Application and Apple Updates, along with an Apple Mobile Device Support.
I even 'restored' my system to earlier today before I started downloading the iTunes update to no avail.  Any ideas/suggestions?

Let's try the fixit from the following Microsoft document with that one:

  • TS2363 Why do I get a runtime error R6034 message when installing iTunes 11.1.4.62 on my WIn XP (SP3) system?

iTunes prompted me to download and install the newest version of iTunes (11.1.4.62). I followed all on-screen prompts. iTunes installation gets to the very end, then I get a popup stating that I have a Runtime Error # R6034 "an application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Okay, I am doing that. FYI, I am runnning Windows XP (SP3). Oh, and BTW, now iTunes is COMPLELETY unusable, and I cannot synch any of my multiple iOS devices. Help please!

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    and paste into:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

  • Windows 7 64-bit ask for validation; when installing itunes?????

I bought a new computer. It has the 64 bit verion of windows 7. when i download the installer it responds with "The installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer"
Please help i relly want to use my itouch?!!!

Have you used Windows Update to update Win 7 fully?
sometimes it takes a day for Windows validation to go through, then you can update.
Have you installed a anti-virus yet?
Microsoft Security Essentials and Avast are free (but Avast nags for money, makes noise and MSE doesn't)

So, drive J: is wrong (I'm installing on D:), and I cannot find any files by that name. Seems the installation scripts are screwed. I will try installing to disk J: and revert back.
    Thanks for your input.

  • BIOS error on reboot after installing iTunes/Quicktime

Installed QT first, to correct first error I got when installing iTunes. Have QT on C drive, installed iTunes on E drive - since it takes up gobs of space and I only have a 10GB for my OS, antivirus, etc. I run all apps from my E drive. No probs until this happened. I get an error that says that bios is not installed and to press [g] to continue. I do this and it boots normally into windows, BUT my E drive has now gone missing. I know I'm returning this God-forsaken device, but I have to get my PC back to normal. Please help!

This is where you should really be posting this:

Why not try installing iTunes and QT both on your C: drive and see if the problem stops? At least it gives you a starting point. You can keep your iTunes library on E:

  • TS3212 when installing iTunes on my new laptop a message box appears saying some sort of error has occured and i have to uninstall it then reinstall it again and it still won't work what should i do?

when installing iTunes on my new laptop a message box appears saying some sort of error has occured and i have to uninstall it then reinstall it again and it still won't work what should i do?

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • When installing itunes I received the following error "service Apple Mobile Device failed to start, verify you have sufficient privileges to start system services"

when installing itunes I received the following error "service Apple Mobile Device failed to start, verify you have sufficient privileges to start system services"

Me too. And if someone comes back on here with the same solution of "uninstall and re-install", please provide further advice after you have done that 3 times and the program still has the same problem in addition to the "failure to load the C runtime library" R6034 issue. I have removed itunes 3 times however I do not have permission to remove the program files/apple file and the uninstall doesn't remove it.
    You're not alone buddy.
    Frustrated.

  • When downloading updates for Quicktime 7 and Itunes 10 I keep getting an error saying that files shared by these updates has an invalid signature and that the downloaded has been removed.

When downloading updated for Quicktime 7 and Itunes 10 I keep getting an error saying that files shared by these updates has an invalid signature and that the downloaded has been removed. If I don't get that message I get a message saying that the download was unsuccesful and that in order to download I need to go to tools and then select dowload only. Please help I really want to update my iphone!

Thanks for helping out, but I already tried these steps.
I even tried this on a iMac with similar results. The only difference was that the errorcode was called 2001 instead of 21.
Today I took the phone to www.iphoneambulancen.dk. A guy (in Aarhus, Denmark) that specializes in iPhone repairs. I figured, that given his occupation he'd seen most errorcdes. Two hours later, he called me back, and told me that he had replaced the battery.
So, it turns out that a broken battery can cause this behaviour.
    But thanks again
