Have a error code 4013. iphone 4s wont restore after update.

my iphone will not restore after update. it is stuck in recovery mode. i get error code 4013 everytime a try to restore but i cant find anything on error code 4013.

DFU mode is also good as stated above, however the instructions for DFU mode are below (please note this is not the same as recovery mode) -
Plug your device into your computer.
Turn off the device.
Hold the Home button and Power button for 10 seconds
Release the Power Button but keep holding the Home button
Keep holding the Home button until you are alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode
Make sure the device screen is blank and no logos are present, device screen should remain black.
Error 4013 is due to security software issues. Uninstall all security software completely, try again, if the issue persists I would either recommend another computer or calling AppleCare tech support at 1-800-APL-CARE (for US customers).
Note- this is even if your device worked fine prior to iOS 7 update with your security software. The change in the operating system on the device can cause compatibility issues with these other programs.

Connect your USB cable to your computer but not to the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch until step 3.

I recently tried to upgrade to iOS 5 on my iPhone 4 but whenever I do, I receive the message: "iTunes was interrupted while restoring the contents of the iPhone “Thundercracker”. Would you like to restore this iPhone again now?" I've tried several times, with no interruptions, and can not get the iPhone 4 to restore from backup. The last backup was made immediately before the update and the iPhone was pretty full before upgrading.
Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas on how to get my information back?

When I tried to update to ios5 it gave me an error as well and stayed on the iTunes screen saying the device is in recovery mode along with an error number. Now,I had gone to apple store previously with this issue when tryin to restore my iPhone only. They said that sometimes the software might be crashing because of an app. The solution is to restore it as a New Phone. Then Put everything back manually. So when I was on the process of installing the new iOS 5 the error seemed to be similar and apple gives you all the troubleshooting codes and fixes. I had to put a command before proceeding. I did that and it seemed to work for one of the iPhones, I was updating 2 iPhones at the time. Then for the other one when it stayed on the iTunes screen I just disconnected and connected the USB cable again and instead of doin update I did restore first and then update and that solved the problem. After restoring it will automatically update and put the information you had before the update back to your iPhone .

Put iPhone into Recovery Mode and Restore with iTunes on computer. Open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Click Restore button of iTunes. If any Error messages are given write them down so you can look up cause and solution. If still problem, and if you have Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation and take to Apple for resolution.

I have an error code 80040154 when I try to download updates, why is this?

I am running Windows Vista 32 on HP Pavillion m8400f. When I try to do a download, Windows installer gives me an error. I am confused and very upset. This has been going on for months now.

You tried all of the suggestion from that link including the security issue and hardware issue.
Sounds like you have jailbroken phone if you tried all that was suggestion on the link and are still having issue.

hello! I updated to ios 8 two days ago and it was ok. I started using my iphone later that day and it just rebooted . Now it wont activate .

look... I start my iphone and and it goes to main LOCK screen where a message is shown, the message is "activation needed" . After I slide to unlock and write my security code it goes directly to the activation page , not to the very begging ,where you should select the lenguage but from the part where you have to chose a wifi connection . I connect to wifi and the activation process starts . On the screen is a message that tells me to wait a couple of minutes . After a couple of minutes there is another message shown on the screen where it tells me that the activation server is unreachable for the moment , please try again later . and this procedure can be repeated a hundred times and the same message will appear . It wont eaven reset . Any ideas wat is rong with it

Factory unlocked iphone 5c wont restore or update

The problem started when i had too little space on my phone (ios 7.1.1) to update to 8.1 so it asked me to make space for the software. I deleted enough off of my phone and started to download it over wifi. The ios update would crash halfway and say there was some kind of error and every time i tried updating it after that it would never update. Another problem is the fact that i have no sim card in the phone and it says "Searching..." and even when i do have a working sim card in the phone it still says "Searching..." So now i updated my iTunes on my desktop and am currently trying to update and restore my iphone. i first tried updating it without restoring it through itunes and itd stop at around 60 remaining minutes and ask me all over again if i was to Download ios 8.1 or Download and Update to ios 8.1 and this has been happening for 2 hours. Then i would try restoring it and it would do the same thing. I dont understand what is happening???? help

A) You can not activate the phone without a SIM card. There is no way around that.
Also, You really need to give us something more to work with than "there was some kind of error".
If you can't tell us EXACTLY what the error message said, we can't be of any help.

Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac
1. If it says Intel CoreDuo, you can only upgrade up to Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
2. If it says Intel Core2Duo or i3, i5, or i7, you need to buy Snow Leopard, install 10.6.6 or later to buy 10.7 or later.
Before you go down path number 2, recognize there are a lot of software title not compatible with 10.7 or later that are with 10.6.8 or earlier. See this tip:

Note the iPhone 5s can run a minimum of iOS 8.1.3 which will sync with 10.6.8 and iTunes 11.4. You only need 10.7.3 or later for syncing with iCloud itself.
And iTunes pre-version 11 is required to maintain iTunes Cover Flow. If you like Cover Flow, you may just have to resort to syncing your phone with Windows on your Mac.

I've tried this several times through wi-fi and i-tunes connections.
It is an iphone 3gs on the orange network, there is a working sim in the phone.

99.9% of the time, the cause of this issue is the fact the phone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it for use on networks other than the network the phone was originally locked to. Apple maintains a database of officially unlocked iPhones, and when Apple's servers detect phones such as yours, activation stops & you get the message you got.
So, you need to get a sim card from the carrier the phone was originally locked to, or get it officially unlocked, if you want to activate it. Because it appears that it was not officially unlocked.

im going to start from the beggining, it all started yesturday when i left with my school to the football game, i turned off my iphone, when i came back like 6 or 7 hours later, i notice that all the icons are messed up, and the PHONE application doesnt work, well, i was able to text still but when i open the phone it would crash and do nothing else
when i came home and saw this new 2.1 software, i installed it and things got worse, now since yesturday my iphone only shows the apple logo and a it vibrates every 10 seconds with a spinning circle in the middle, it wont do anything else, i tried restoring it, nothing happen, upgrading again, nothing happend
