Have a form but don't want users to see blue boxes for form fields.
Is there a way to set form fields so the blue boxes don't show when they open the PDF but the field remain active? When I save and open it on my computer, I don't see the fields. However, when I send it as an attachment, others see the fields. Does it matter if the user has Adobe Reader vs. Adobe Acrobat?
This is a setting of the application, whether or not to have form fields
highlight, not of your file.

My user folder has suddenly disappeared from my hard drive though if I do a find for it it comes up as still being there with all its data. Can drag a duplicate copy from the find window back onto the hard drive but don't want two copies there with one of them hidden. Any suggestions anyone?
Did you update to 10.9.3?
If you did then update to iTunes 11.2.1.
That is the fix for that problem.

I have received a notice that my forms central account has lasped due to being unable to charge credit card. I have changed cards and will update, but do not want to pay a full subscription since Forms is ending. I am in the middle of a process that will end in a month. What do I do to be able to finish this process???
It is a bad situation. Your credit card expired but you cannot change it because FormsCentral is retiring.
Please consider moving your forms to JotForm right away. It takes a few minutes to do it using JotForm new Import Wizard:

There are no known viruses for OS X. If you have to worry about a website putting some malware on your computer, then you should not visit it any longer. Find a legitimate site.

I need the numerical performance of the Windows 1.4.2 server vm for a 3D product I am working on, but don't want to force my users to download the entire JDK to get it. What is the official line regarding whether I can install just the server vm within their existing JRE? And can the vm be set within an applet?
This of course also poses issues such as version control, both dealing with what is currently installed and now also dealing with auto-updates.
I am currently paying a 325% performance penalty when using the client vm for numerical work!

JRE? No. Basically the entire JRE must be installed. There are certain parts that can be left out. You can check the readme for a list of those. I doubt it is going to save much.
I could be mistaken but I also think you will find that getting the VM to run in server mode will also require a configuration change in the browser - and you are not going to be able to do that via a normal applet. And it will impact all java from that point on as well. -
Does anyone know which apps are web wrapped for allowing IMAPing to mail & calendar have push notifications but don't download data to the device?
Basically, our enterprise would like to allow users to use personal iOS devices to access mail, calendar and contacts (we're on Google Apps). However, our strict security requirements are such that we need to make sure the app isn't being "overly helpful" and saving the accessed data in a cache or pulling it down to the device in any way.
My quick test for checking if apps don't pull down data to reside on the device is to put the device in Airplane Mode. If you can see your email or calendar
entries with an app when it's in airplane mode, then it's pulling the data down or caching it in some way.
I've tested the Google Gmail app and the Google Apps Browser from G-Whizz and both fail this test since they cache the last mail and/or calendar entries accessed.
The only legit way for users to access our enterprise mail and calendar is through the browser only. However, they can't get push notifications or alerts for new emails or from their calendar. The concern and likely outcome is that users will just set up an account on the native Mail app using IMAP, either knowing and disregarding that it's a security violation or not really understanding that they're committing a security violation.
I gotta believe there's an app for that.

I don't know what I'd be considered. I'm a US passport holder and live in China, but I only speak some Chinese and I can't read it (it using non-latin characters is just too much for my mind's memory to handle). Besides that, I'm not interested in popular Chinese apps. They tend to just be annoying and kooky and generic and put together badly, often full adware and spyware (speaking for most Chinese software, in fact). In fact, a lot of apps I want are illegal in China (YouTube, Facebook, etc) and I use a VPN to use the services. I assume I wouldn't find these apps on the Chinese store. In fact, last I checked, there wasn't many English apps on the Chinese app store. This is probably due to their strict moderation or something.
I've been going to international schools since I got here and college would be in English too. I can speak some Chinese, but not read it.
Well, I guess the answer is that I can't use the App Store in English. So I guess I'll just sign out everything on my phone involving my Apple account and just start using third-party tools to do my business. -

How do I delete duplicate songs in my iTunes? I have hundreds and I don't want to delete them one by one. They were all added on the same date, so sorting by the date won't help.
Hi, if this is in regards to your library simply open up itunes and do the following steps:
Click File
Scroll down to "show duplicates"
A list will then appear of your duplicate song titles.
Be sure to CAREFULLY review each song to make sure it is a duplicate ( as I have some music that is the same song but live, acoustic etc...)
Proceed to manually delete each song from the list and leave alone any song that you wish to keep.

Is there anyway to turn off the Group MMS texting? I want to send a mass text but don't want every person to see every other person's response. I am getting ready to have a baby and want to send one text out to friends and family when the baby comes BUT I don't want all of those people to receive the responses. Can I turn it off temporarily? you can't reverse the process, once you accepted there is no other way, if you sync it to your itunes library in your computer it will automatically update the updated app as well.
What you can try though is delete the app from your iPad and try syncing it to your itunes library but if you set up iCloud it may update the app automatically -

Sounds like you need to return your iPhone where you bought it and just pay the restocking fee and call it good.

Gradient only showing gray scale
I am trying to create a colored button in IL CS3, and when I open the gradient box, I am only getting a gray scale option- no colors to choose from. If I go to Color Palette, I can apply only a solid color. Back to Gradient, still only gray...arrgh.
