Have a hp deskjet all in one k209A

the scanner appears to scan but will not save to the mac... when i try to trouble shoot system preferences printers and scanners opens in a different desk top to the hp scan app so i cant resolve the issue ...... is my problem with the hp product or the mac?
Any advise greatly appreciated tearing my hair out slowly bah!

I have an HP PhotoSmart 7520 all in one, and I had tried scanning a document for at least 2 days to no avail. This may not even be realted to your issue, but what finally worked (so it both scanned and saved to my Macbook Air) was to open Print & Scan under System Preferences, click on the Scan tab, and then click on Open Scanner.
When I then went to the printer, I was able to scan and save the document. Without that window being open on my Mac before I tried to scan, I got nowhere.
Not sure if this will be of any help, but thought I would share that with you just in case....

My HP Deskjet all-in-one- F4440 will not print. I have put in a new color and a new black cartridge. It clanks loudly when it moves back and forth. Finally it stops and then pulls plain paper through as though printing on it - does this two or three times. then it pulls plain paper halfway through and stops. I have to tug and carefully pull halfway paper back out towards front to remove.

Hi there. I hope you can help me. So my dad gave me this wonderful printer, the DeskJet 2544 all in one. Unfortunately, the tri. Color cartridge ran out. I was about to shop online on the HP website but there was no 301 tri color CH562E like the one installed on mine. I was thinking if I can buy other cartridges that can be an alternative? For example, the deskjet 2540 all in one uses HP 61 cartridge. Can I order and use that?<br><br>Also, what is the difference of a deskjet all in one printer and a DESKJET INK ADVANTAGE all in one printer? Can I use cartridges from that?<br><br>Thank you. Was the printer purchased on one country but you are in another? If so you will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work. HP's web page on the subject is here.
You can find the correct cartridges for your area from the HP SureSupply site.

how to reset Deskjet All in one printer 2645 to its default setting?So I can change the paper size.

We have difficulty in using the printer for "photocopy" purposes. This is because our printer doesn't have "specific options" for paper sizes. When copying, the only option default in our printer was : A4 plain, A4 photo & 4 x 6.. Our question is, how can we have the "specific options" for paper sizes ( legal, letter, or A4 size )? Do we need to "restore to defaults" our printer? Can you give us a step-by-step instructions to deal with our problem? Thanks.

What are the ink levels ( in % full ) for each cartridge according to the printer?

I have a HPa 3055 all in one attached to a wireless print server that works with one Dell laptop that I upgraded from XP. But I can't get a New Toshiba Win7 to work wireless, but only with cable.

Do you have a wireless router? How is the print server configured with that?

Reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it."

Make sure it is a genuine HP cartridge. Take it out and clean the contact on the cartridge and in the printer. Try again.

I have an HP C6300 All In One Printer (wireless). It is always going "Off-line".

We have an HP C6300 All In One Printer that is wireless. We try and set the Properties on the laptops to "Use Off-Line" but that does not help. At points some of the laptops work and some don't. Now none of the computers can print. I have unplugged the printer and re-assigned it to my wireless network and nothing is working. we are out of warranty so I would have to pay for any tech support which is probably more than the printer cost, so if I cannot solve this I am getting rid of this printer!!

I have a HP 6510 All in One printer Model # CQ761A. It does not respond to touching the screen

I have a HP 6510 All in One printer Model # CQ761A. Using Windows XP.
Power light is on and wireless light is on. When I touch the touch screen there is no response from the printer. The computer and network does not see the printer and power button will not power down the printer. I have to unplug the power from the printer to get it to turn off then on and start working. Works fine for a day or two then back to malfunctioning.

Try working through this support document. it walks through resetting the power module and testing it. It also includes a video which is very helpful.

HT3669 hp deskjet all in one 4488 printer software downloaded from apple does not work

The printer software for HP Deskjet all in one F4488 downloaded from Apple support for OS 10.8.2 does not work. The problem is that the software is not available at the HP support site only.

Your apparently older Model needs to use Apple's "Print & Scan" which is found in Applications>System Prefernces>Print & Scan. There you will follow the following instructions from the HP Support site to Scan, for instance:
Place the item that you want to scan on the scanner glass, or load it into the automatic document feeder (ADF) if your printer has one.
Click the Apple menu ( ), and then click System Preferences .
Click Print & Scan ( ).
Click your printer in the left pane.
Click Scan , and then click Open Scanner .
Click Show Details . The details of the scan display, including options to change scan settings.Figure 4: Example of the Show Details scanning screen
Change any scan settings as necessary, and then click Scan .NOTE: Make sure to select either the Flatbed mode or the Document Feeder mode, depending on your printer and how you plan to scan.
