Have a used iPhone4 and need to change to former user ID ?

I purchased a used iPhone4 and the former owner's Apple user ID keeps appearing when attempting to purchase via app store. How can I change this to my own ?

Settings/iTunes & App Store tap on ID. And log out then log in with new. You might also want to change ID in settings/messages and delete iCloud account in settings/ilcoud

Yes you can as long as the previous owner erased the iPad according to these instructions. If the previous owner didn't do this, contact him or her and ask for their help. If the last owner cannot be reached or will not cooperate, you will eventually run into problems that you will not be able to resolve and you will have a useless brick on your hands.

I bought a used iPad1 that has the former user's apple id. I have an apple id myself that i can use to purchase apps, etc.
1. However, do i need to reset the device to use my ID? I've made purchases from my laptop and need to sync them to the ipad.
2. My latop is authorized and all the connectivity tests etc are ok. I get the message do I want to erase my library when i sync. there was music that i like on the device when i got it. You should log out of the currently logged in account by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and you should then do Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings to put it back to factory settings (which the previous owner should have done) - you can then sync your own content to it.

If you go to Apple, they will not replace your battery, but exchange your iPod for a refurbished iPod of the same model with a new battery. Therefore you will lose everything that is not backed up. If you change it yourself or have a third party change it, you will most likely not lose anything (but still best to make a backup as lllaass suggested).

I have never used PhotoShop and do not have time at the present. Please help me to move a section of text from one column to another in a brochure.

Here are 3 options for future reference:
1. With the setup you've described, apply a Match Move behavior to the text and make the rectangle the source. Change the Transform parameter to Mimic source. This way you can still adjust the text postion as needed, but the rectangle will drive the animation.
2. Use a group to do the animation. Put both your rectangle and text in the same group and animate the group's postion.
3. Use the Link behavior.
Each of these has it's advantages depending on what you need.

Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Also try restarting the router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.

Contact the police about the theft. Change passwords on any accounts used with the device. Contact the carrier about discontinuing service and possibly blocking future contracts with the phone. Shop for a new phone.

I just want to use a picture as my DVD cover, and then insert a slideshow. Also, when I try to burn my 8.5gb double sided slideshow, all that burns is the music. It is a large slideshow, a memorial on the life of my now deceased brother. This means a lot to me and to my family, and I am having so much trouble trying to burn it. I have gone into Project View and selected appropriately. The bar shows I have room to burn this DVD, but it does not burn. I have burned so many DVDs in the past, but this one just will not burn. I am so confused at this point. I will say this is the first 8.5gb I have attempted to create and burn. My specs list a 7.7gb or 4.7gb as operable....but there are no 7.7gb dvds. I had to purchase 8.5gb. Help? What am I doing wrong? I have spent so much time on this, and just cannot figure it out.

Give iPhoto a look at for creating the slideshow. It's easy to assemble the photos in an album in iPhoto, put them in the order you want and then make a slideshow of them. You can select from various themes and transitions between slides and add music from your iTunes library.
When you have the slidshow as you want use the Export button at the bottom of the iPhoto window and export with Size = Medium or Large.
Save the resulting Quicktime movie file in your Movies folder.
Next, open iDVD, choose your theme and drag the QT movie file into the menu window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Then follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
The reason I suggest iPhoto is that I find it much easier to use than iMovie (except for the older iMovie 6 HD version). Personal preferences showing here.
